The Place You'd Least Expect (Dantooine)

It was cold inside an abandoned satellite tower on the brink of Dantooine on a frosty night. A young man, Marth Hy'juun, rested on a makeshift bed made of chairs and soft materials he could find. He was in his tunic, under a thin bantha-skin blanket. Tonight was the last night he'd be staying in this old tower, and he'd have to be up bright-and-early to find a new sanctuary due to reconstruction of the tower starting.
Marth looked at his lamp, which was faintly illuminating the room. "Is this always my fate? Is this who I am meant to be? A man on the run who helps against the common thug? Hopefully someone can get me off this rock, whether it be a nice mercenary or another Master of the Force. But I know it's just a dream. A corrupting government, local thugs - so many people are looking for the mysterious Jedi. I can't play cat-and-mouse much longer... But I'll worry when I have strength. I only have a few hours. Goodnight..." The young man thought aloud, drifting away into slumber.
Awakening the next morning, he realized he was surrounded by security. He had slept too long! They had his Lightsaber and guns at the ready, so Marth relied on his Force abilities. If he could recover his Lightsaber, he could escape the tower and security guards...
((**OOC MOMENT** Marth is young and is looking for allies and a new way to serve. His skills are not at their potential, and he can be convinced to join your cause, especially if you help him out of the tower.**))

Dantooine, a planet that Ballen-Ist did not visit often. He had not been out of the Sith Academy for a long period of time actually, having been busy with various methods of training. The screech of the boy's Lambda Class Imperial shuttle would be heard over head as it flew past the tower that [member="Marth Hy'juun"] coincidentally happened to be trapped within, his force presence becoming recognized by the Sith. Whoever this man was, obviously faced inner turmoil, as well as outer conflict, that being the security force at the moment. Gazing out of the cockpit's large view, Ballen-Ist's arm would lift, pointing to a nearby hangar bay. "Land here, we're heading out." He spoke, turning to make his way into the main section of his transport. The screech of his shuttle was dimmed to a gentle hum within the star craft, allowing his voice to carry forward to the many stormtroopers that were amongst his presence. Precisely, there were about ten of the white-clad soldiers, all sitting upon the benches, eager to hear their Captain's orders.

"Follow my lead." The young boy would speak, his body hardly jerking forward as the Imperial shuttle came to a land. A thick mist of air would pour down from the craft's underbelly as the air-tight seal of the loading ramp disengaged, lowering to allow the inhabitants of the shuttle to exit into the hangar. Their marching would be heard over the many sounds and events that occurred within the general area, eventually leading them to the outside where the large satellite tower was in view. The large structure was on the outskirts of Dantoonie's city, which led most to believe it was abandoned. However there was a project to reconstruct it, prompting the security force to clear out the area before anything happened. Though it seemed as if they were interested in more than securing the area, having taken the would be Jedi's saber, most likely attempting to keep it for more selfish reasons.

Standing in front of the large entrance, the cloaked Sith Knight would wave his arm forward, motioning for his troops to advance. The armored storm troopers would do as they were instructed, one of their legs lifting to knock down the door in a powerful kick, for it had been closed to remain inconspicuous. None could remain inconspicuous to the force, save the higher ranking and knowledge users of it of course. Blaster fire would erupt through the tower's dark insides as the Imperial force made it's advancement, attempting to mow down any security force that stood in there way. Walking along the troopers was Ballen-Ist, who made his way to the top to witness the man being cornered. "Not a good idea." The youth's voice would ring out, his head shaking from side to side as his soldiers opened fire, aiming to kill the security.

He was upon the planet of Dantooine. It was a good planet, a planet that was close to the Light Side of the Force, at least he believed so. In his time there had been many Jedi Academies and Temples upon the planet, mostly because they had been destroyed constantly by the Sith, and if he remembered correctly the Sith had completely taken over the still standing parts of the Temple and turned it into a Sith Temple.

They had taken it when a majority of the Jedi order was gone, and the Jedi had failed in retaking it, but once they had gathered their full strength after a number of weeks, then they had retaken it and rebuilt the Temple. Every single Jedi had done their part, it had been a beautiful thing their victory, and the Jedi Knight Zaren Bouqi loved the planet because of that.

He came across a tower, an abandoned tower. It was curious, so when he began to wander towards it, he saw armed men walking past the entrance and he froze and watched what they did. It was suspicious to see these armed people upon the planet and at this satellite, but it was also quite strange for him to be in that location as well. Unfortunately he wasn't able to explain the reasoning why he was there, it seemed he had one of those moments where the 'Force' wanted him to be there.

And then that's when the Sith appeared and then suddenly there was a large Imperial presence and they were storming the tower. On the inside, he felt the presence of another Force user and he realized that he had to save them before a Sith could get to him.

"Zzz...Huh!? What the... " The smuggler abruptly awoke from a deep slumber, as a series of loud noises emitted from his ships radar. Listeri blinked rapidly to adjust his vision, and swung up in his chair to get a better view. 5 red dots appeared around a single straight line, representing some kind of structure. He slightly frowned, as he sped off towards the location. As he got nearer, he saw some minor security force, and a large group of Imperials. " Ah, those karking Imps! Here's what happens when you feth the galaxy over! " The pilot murmured to himself, as he opened fire on the troopers. Lines of white armor flew up into the air, as Listeri sickly grinned.

Marth looked at Ballen-Ist, who struck down any security in his path. Marth realized this was a more skilled Sith who must've sensed his presence. Before he could run out of the tower, a stormtrooper stopped him.
"No, no. You're staying here. Lord Ballen-Ist wants you to witness this - the plight of the Empire. Our helpfulness."
'Bantha dung.' Marth thought, then being forced to stay in the room and watch the massacre in horror. But there was something calling to him. Someone who was here to rescue him. Marth then looked at the Stormtrooper. "Give me your gun. I am aiming for the guard with my Lightsaber." Marth said, snatching the blaster, then able to reach his Lightsaber. Though that only made the surviving stormtroopers aim at him. The Empire had won, somehow.
"Thanks, s-sir." Marth thanked the Sith, fear wreaking from his Force energy.

By the time he had passed through and into the courtyard of the building, he had leapt upwards to the nearest window, his form spinning through the glass after the Force had wrapped itself tightly around him.

By the time he had leapt through the window, he saw [member="Marth Hy'juun"] stopped by the stormtrooper and force pushed the stormtrooper into a wall, smashing it's form off of it and knocking it unconscious. "Are you hurt?" Were the first words that came out of the mouth of the Jedi Knight as he looked at Marth.

"I am a Jedi Knight, there is a Sith here as well. Come with me, quick." He replied, and he unclipped his lightsaber from his belt and was ready to thumb the ignition at a moment's notice.

(I'm going to say this is after the Guardians formed.)

While Listeri sent troopers flying into the air, he saw the familiar figure of [member=Zaren Bouqi], as a huge grin spread across his face. The smuggler quickly patched into a group feed shared by the Guardians, and began speaking into a speaker." Hey, it's the Professional! What are you doin' here Zare? " He asked heartily, as a huge torpedo exploded, nearly toppling the tower. " Uh, heh, that was me! " Listeri apologized.

([member="Marth Hy'juun"] For future reference allow others to rp their allies and own actions/reactions to situations, just a tip.)

Ballen-Ist actually hadn't drawn a weapon of his own, he had simply allowed his military force to advance and offer resitance to the security force who attempted to corner the helpless refugee. Explosions would be heard at the entrance of the large satellite tower as [member="Listeri Dalane"] opened fire on the troopers that had taken guard at the entrance, blowing them to smithereens more or less. The storm troopers wouldn't actually do anything that had been stated previously, for they were directly under the order of the Sith Knight, at his side at all times. Assuming that the small skirmish had ended, the now freed Marth would be able to do as he pleased, be it collect his lightsaber or a nearby blaster. The white clad troopers would not do anything to disarm him, for they had not been ordered.

The dark cloaked boy would offer the man a brief nod as he received his thanks, only to be followed by the appearance of [member="Zaren Bouqi"]. "You?" He spoke, eying the saber handle that he gripped in his palm. Was it new one, or the one he had recently returned?

" I'm fine, but... Their... Their num-" Marth was interrupted by a starship blasting the tower and shaking it. He took the opportunity to dash. Mistaking the ship for more security, he ran to the top of the tower at blazing speed. Once he found a secure place on the roof, he started to try to use the Force on the ship.
After a bit of force pulling, the ship refused to crash or even fire at Marth. He saw a smiling free-lancing smuggler in the cockpit and an open entrance-way. He must've known Marth was in distress. Marth quickly was about to jump onto the ramp and board the freighter, but then remembered the man he left behind.
Marth looked at the tower stairs, then at the ship. Then back at the stairs, and at the ship. He made a quick turn-around and went to save the Jedi, but the tower leaned over. The structure and framing was coming apart. And now more militia were nearing the tower. "I know he'll be safe. You have to believe." Marth thought. He turned to the ship, and jumped onto the open ramp. The Jedi and the Sith would have to find their own ways to survive the tower.

The young man had disappeared and left the Jedi Knight with the Sith Knight. As soon as the boy had turned to run off, Zaren Bouqi took the spot that he had occupied and blocked [member="Ballen-Ist"]'s movements if he wished to chase down the boy. He'd have to go through the Jedi Knight if he wanted the boy, but why would he with the tower leaning?

When the Sith saw his lightsaber, it was certainly a new one. There was no reason for him to use the lightsaber he had used as a Padawan. As you grew up as a force sensitive and lightsaber duelist, you learned that your fighting style changed as you got better, and that lightsaber that the Sith had taken from him was his first one. The one he had now, was his third one.

A lot of things had happened in that time, but he only shook his head at the Sith when he said, "you." The Jedi Knight was garbed in his Phrik armour, there was no chance the Sith would be able to harm him physically, Zaren knew that he'd be able to match the former Apprentice attack for attack, and then some.

"Run." He said and he started to back up the stairs as his helmet came up and over his head and sealed itself so that the Sith could no longer see his face.

"Pilot. Gain altitude, make sure the cargobay is open. I'll leap up." He said, and then he turned off his comlink in his helmet and focused upon the Sith.

[member="Marth Hy'juun"] - [member="Ballen-Ist"] - [member="Listeri Dalane"]

Listeri frowned, as he began replying to [member=Zaren Bouqi]. " Just Pilot? I'm offended, Zaren! " The smuggler joked in a mocking tone, as he flipped a small switch. The cargo bay quickly slid open, and he assumed [member=Marth Hy'juun] hopped on. He pressed a small button, and began speaking into the intercom. " This is your captain speaking, we shall be taking off shortly. Buckle your seatbelts, and enjoy the in-flight movie. " Listeri spoke in a serious voice, smirking as he slowly lifted off into the air.

[member=Ballen-Ist]

Watching [member="Marth Hy'juun"] escape selfishly, Ballen-Ist could not help but smirk, for it would have been his own course of action. Turning away from the dead bodies and [member="Zaren Bouqi"], the boy's arm would lower to his waist, quickly pulling the handle of his saber from it's restraints. Sliding his finger over the ignition switch, he would watch as the blade sprung into life, the tower creaking loudly as the explosion sounded off, causing it to begin it's descent. Thrusting his blade forward, he would begin to carve out an opening, listening as his troopers began to request pick up. The Imperial shuttle that had docked itself within the hangar bay would roar into life, exiting to make it's way across the sky to the outskirts of where the group was located. No fear could be sensed from the boy due to [member="Zaren Bouqi"]'s presence, for his power had grown since their last encounter. He had confidence in his abilities, however it was certainly not the time to confront the Knight.

Lifting his commlink, he would speak into the device, speaking directly to the pilot of his transport. "Activate your shields, you may run into some lasers." Pocketing the machine, the Sith would take his leave after freeing Marth, anger running through his veins due to the lack of respect he had been shown. Darth Ferus had spoke about embracing feelings such as compassion, however it seemed the idea was simply foreign to others. "Till we meet again, Knight." The youth's voice would speak out, as he leapt from the tower, his black cloak flapping fiercely against the wind as he descended. The white clad storm troopers had attempted to escape the wreckage, however they would be consumed by the metallic material as it collapsed, claiming their lives. Ballen-Ist's black booted feet would slam against the side of the tower as it fell on an angle, allowing him to skid gracefully down it's side, before propelling himself into another jump. Exerting a cushion of force energy from his feet, the boy would land with a thud, looking up to the sky towards the ship that had taken Marth in. It was no concern to him for now, however he would remember it.

When the Sith had drawn his lightsaber, Zaren Bouqi continued to back up the stairs, all he needed to was turn around and he'd be up in less than a second and then he'd need to jump, that was it, and then it'd be to [member="Listeri Dalane"] keeping the ship steady and flying them out of there.

And then the Sith started to cut his way out of the tower, the Jedi Knight replaced his lightsaber onto his belt, and he inclined his head towards the Sith Knight one last time before he leapt up the stairs just as the Sith made his escape. Underneath his feet, he felt the building beginning to collapse, and then he travelled towards the edge of the building and threw himself upwards.

Fortunately he had done so just as t he building collapsed underneath him and he arced his body in a way that it would guide him into the cargobay and he rolled in, right next to the boy, [member="Marth Hy'juun"]. It was a good landing, and he stood up to his feet and slammed a gauntlet into the cargobay door, closing the ramp / hatch and walked to the cockpit.

He left the boy behind and walked inside, sealing it behind him so it was only the two of them within the room. "Bring the ship to Yinchorr, friend, and then we'll part ways." His helmet retracted from his head and took up it's place in between both of his shoulders and he smiled. Genuinely.

Listeri grinned with a psychopathic lunacy only found in smugglers as he watched the tower crumple to the ground, the bodies of some of the troopers trapped underneath. His eyes widened, and he swiveled in his chair as [member=Zaren Bouqi] came in. " How the...How'd in kark did you get in!? The door was locked? " The smuggler questioned in genuine surprise. He mumbled a string of vile and dirty curses under his breath, mainly at the people who made his ship. Listeri flew off into the stratosphere, enjoying the view immensely.

"This reminds me of the ship..." Marth thought aloud. "The one that had those thugs who shot my grandmother and took mother." He looked around. He knew it wasn't the exact ship that stole his mother, but he still had the urge to check. He started ravaging through the whole ship except the sealed-off cockpit, like a little akk puppy looking for his bone. But nothing piqued his interest. Marth then turned to see a dog-tag of one of the thugs who murdered his grandmother and mother. "Confirmed kill? This smuggler who saved me - he's an ally. Perhaps this could be something. I think I might just have to tag along with him. Now to clean this mess... Oi, man, did I trash this ship..." Marth thought, scrambling to clean everything.

((**OOC Moment: Just so you guys know, Listeri and I have PM'd each other, and we were trying to find a way for the young Marth to join him for some missions.**))

"I'm a Jedi, or did you forget?" He asked with a chuckle and then he leaned over [member="Listeri Dalane"]'s chair and said, "so can you get me to Yinchorr or not? Metellos would be perfect, it's deeper in the Core, but Yinchorr will do." He straightened himself out again and looked around the cockpit.

It wasn't often that he walked into the cockpit, he was the Protector out of the group. The others weren't around though, probably doing missions in other places.

" What do you think? Fastest drive in Wild Space man. " Listeri replied to [member=Zaren Bouqi], although hemerely guessed on that one, as more often than not relied on sheer skill than speed, but he liked to boost his ego by saying he has a fast engine. He slowly pushed forward on a sleek handle, as the ship jumped into hyperspace, causing the stars to blur and the ship to jerk forward at incredible speeds.

[member=Marth Hy'juun]

Marth held on to the ID tags as the ship sped up, entering hyperspace:
'Name: Gane His'tupa
Species: Twi'lek
Job: Hutt Cartel Captain/Slaver
Wanted: Coruscant, Tatooine, Dantooine, Malachor system, Christophsis

Marth then read a holopad next to it:
'Bounty: Gane Hist'upa
Species: Twi'lek
Wanted By: (Marth read a long list of people who had bounties on the man)
Reward: (Varied, depending on employer)
Status: Collected by Listeri Dalane'
"Interesting. That must be this man's name. Hmm, what's this? A holorecording? I'll just snatch this and watch it..." Marth thought aloud, then walking to the cargo hold. As he took a seat on a sack of fruits, he played the video of the bounty collection. After Dalane killed the bounty, he set free slaves the Twi'lek bounty had owned. Wait... One of them looked like Marth's mother, but older. Even called by his mother's name, Gina. He felt the ship suddenly stop and slammed into a crate, fainting with the recording paused on the woman. Had Marth's mother survived?
Marth woke up as the ship was docking somewhere. He finally was partially free. He took a quick glance at everything. Should he put it back? He couldn't just let his mother's mystery go on, but stealing trophies isn't even legal. Marth sighed, "What am I doing with myself?", putting all the items in his robes. One the exit of the ship opened, he left, running as he waved to the pilot and Jedi. Thing was, he had no idea about anything on Yinchorr.

[Marth has now been introduced and has a motivator. What will happen in his future? End of thread. Thanks all!]
