The Pendulum (Terror Attack on Coruscant)

Location: Surface Streets, Courscant
Time: Evening (Coincides with the thread "The Pit" so please choose one or the other to participate it)

The waning sun drifted tiredly below the skyline, the last glints of daylight gleaming off the dark windshield of the Cargo Speeder. Jareth toyed with his watch, watching as the seconds ticked down from an hour. Everything had to be completely synchronized, every gun loaded at the same time and every bomb detonating not a fraction too soon. Pulling his hoodie further down over his head, Jareth looked back into the hold of the speeder.

A squad of Ession riot police stared back at him. The scorch marks in the armor were still apparent from the battle, but aside from that there was no indication that the men underneath hadn't worn a real badge a day in their lives. The armor was easy enough to get through, no one really paid mind to light armor if you pushed enough credits their way; luckily they had made enough from looting on Ession to convince the dock workers to look the other way. The really hard part was the guns, they literally had to be disassembled and stuffed into hidden compartments on their speeders; they lost a few pieces in the process so one or two men were left gunless.

At least the bombs were easy. It's a wonder what kind of firepower your average household chemicals can make. "You nice young ladies ready back there?"

"This armor is giving me karking diaper rash, the guy who owned this must have been a karking dwarf" Harlen (Jareth's second-in-command)complained, pulling on the cod piece of the riot armor. Everyone gave a chuckle, except Jareth of course.

swat_coverart.jpg
"We are down to the hour, there's no time for bullpoodo" Jareth growled

"Do you really want to die with that pole up your ass, Oldron?" Harlen shot back as he finished adjusting his cod piece. "You do know that you don't get extra points for dickery in the Seven Hells right?" The men on mission were all Ession Freedom Front militia, so they'd been around a time or two. Jareth was just an nerf herder.

Jareth scoffed, "I don't need extra points, when I get there I'll own the damn place." Turning around, Jareth put his feet on the dash and looked back to his watch; only 45 minutes left. "I'm not here to make karking friends, I'm here to tell you what to do."

"Everyone needs friends now Mister." Harlen grinned as he checked over the DC-17 rifle he'd stolen from the Ession Police Armory, "Isn't that why we're all here, to make friends"

"I'm here to kill forcies. They forced me to make a living they didn't agree with and then they killed my boy; now I'm going to force them to watch as everything they stand for falls around them." Jareth closed his eyes, thinking back to the animal-like screams at the temple...the smell of burning flesh.

"Then what, retire to lake country?"

"There's nothing left for me in this life after that." Jareth shrugged, his eyes opening when he heard another speeder pull in front of them. That must have been the truck loaded with explosives, right on time. "Just shut up and be ready, we hit and leave; so don't get left behind."

The Wyyrlok-Class Star Destroyer, The Meshuga, fell out of hyperspace taking a quick revolution around the planet of Coruscant before expelling her personal troops, Nightshade Squadron, on a much needed training exercise. Since the formation of her Dagobah Knights, she felt her personal boys had grown soft with some of them pushing the limitations on their armour; mainly in the midriff section. She knew their capabilities in terms of warfare but she was eager to see how they reacted to patrolling the streets and interacting with some of the lesser lifeforms in the galaxy, the thugs and criminals that have been cropping up on the streets of late.
"My Lady," Captain Moril cautiously began as he approached the Sith Lady as she gazed out the bridge's massive viewport. "Everything is in order as you requested. Your squadron have been loaded into the transports and are awaiting your arrival."
Darth Venefica continued to stare into the cold, darkness of space letting the words from Captain Moril to die and fizzle away from her. Something was not right but she couldn't quite put a finger on it. She was far from having what some have called precognition but there where times she received visions in her sleep. Thus the reason she had chosen Coruscant to be the site of the three week long training session. She trusted in the Force and had no reason to believe otherwise she was here wasting her time, despite the protests from the Dark Council that she was not needed here. One day the fools would come to the understanding that she didn't answer to them but to the Dark Lord only.
"Notify the docking bay that I'm on my way, Captain."
Every step she took she could feel the cold metal shooting a mixture of pain and annoyance up into her body via her bare feet. Nobody questioned why she elected to walk through the galaxy shoeless or bootless and if she even felt they deserved an explanation, which they didn't, they would not understand. She didn't come from a pampered home or from a background decorated in lavish stories. She didn't grow up like most girls who spent most of their time talking about boys or playing with dolls. The toys she played with as a child could and would eat you if you weren't careful enough to return them to their toy box after playing with them. She scoffed at civilization and their so-called civilized way of living.
"Take us down to the planet," she ordered stepping into one of the shuttle transports. Whatever had drawn her to Coruscant better be prepared to deal with the Dagobah Sith. She was not the average Sith, one that kills for pleasure or because they can. No, she was an unique Sith that made you beg her to kill you. And death, if granted, was the least worse possible scenario.

Elegant and depraved.
Aureate eyes watched the horizon, shimmering lights paved across the jagged maw of the breathing metropolis beneath him. He could feel the gelid breeze that swept across the rooftops of the buildings, the inhuman whistle as the wind caught on narrow streets and alternate alleyways, to raise yellowing papers and discarded rubbish in a flurry of life as though some phantasmal beast galloped along the tapered passages. He could feel the life surrounding him, the mortals that grew ever closer to their death with each day, trapped in the inescapable hold of Life's clock, tangled in the web of ephemeral lives gone within but a blink of an eye.. and yet.. they endured. Countless years had passed by and still, scurrying like rats within a maze he could see them from atop his tower, blind to the world around them, to the creatures they shared it with. The wind blew once more to caress his unarmored form, and this time he shivered.

The descending dark marked his time to move – Despite the sleepless nature of the city, the endless day that was perpetuated in florescent lights and perpetual noise, he would be able to move with the crowds of the eve in a slightly more noticeable silence and without the red embrace of Coruscant's singular sun. He ventured into the streets and began his stride, snapping his silver head up to remove the curtain of hair that obscured his vision. He lifted a hand to tuck the hair on one side of his head behind a pointed ear before breaking away from the mass of bodies and slip into one of the alleys. Booted feet tread soundless against the uneven concrete, chipped and in disrepair, hollows in the ground filled with stagnant pools as skeletal, homeless animals rooted within the myriad of rubbish strewn across Rhuza's path stared up at the Sith Lord with wide eyes as he passed by. For all the One Sith did for the citizens, Rhuza almost tutted in disdain at how decrepitude still existed in various forms of the planet's streets. In turn, Rhuza expected too much of the citizens here, however. He silently scoffed and whipped his head as he turned another corner.

The Eldorai exhaled softly, a sound twinged with melancholy when he reached his destination, crouching beside the wrought grate of the sewer systems as he coiled long fingers through the perforations in the chilled metal, tugging it abruptly with one leather clad hand to fill the alley with the discordant screech of metal upon stone. Golden eyes glanced fleetingly along the length of the tenebrous passage before focusing on the fathomless lacuna before him, leading into the core of Coruscant, the intricate spider-web of tunnels that existed beneath the citizen's streets of which many had no idea. He lifted his leg and began to step into the opening before his senses suddenly were...off. For all of 3 seconds there was a palpable sense of danger in the air. His brow furrowed as he clenched his jaw. His former engagement would have to wait. He pushed himself back out of the opening and stamped his feet onto the hard concrete below. Precognition was an appreciative ability among force users, but more often than not, it's alertfulness came in whispers, it's tune barely audible- but it was enough. Rhuza turned on his heel, and with hands clasped behind his back retraced his steps back up the alleyways.

They could search, use every aspect of their abilities, but they would not see him coming. They could try, but they would not stop him. His boys, all his boys were gone, dead, slain in the fields of the Jedi-Sith holy war like so many others. All of them except three, three out of millions. The Republic had been all that ever mattered to Cody Jorin, he'd more than willingly put himself in positions where he should've died for his Republic, he'd allowed himself to become the template for the next clone army, and watched his sons fight valiantly only to slowly be killed off and forgotten by the people they'd served. No one would remember their sacrifice, and no one would remember him, not until today. Six years after using a Dark Jedi's blind attack to infiltrate the planet he found his chance at revenge came, on the Sith first, then those who'd forgotten him.

Staring down into the skull carved into the visor of his helmet the man listened to the COMNET chatter on about the localized terror attack. It was finally time, and that alone was a lot to process. Sliding on the helmet he locked the final clasps of his armor into place and snatched up his weapons, an assortment out firearms, blades, and explosives improvised or otherwise. Minus a few he left in the run down room for good measure.

Stepping out of the apartment in the slums he'd hid in for years, the black armored man flicked open a detonator and mashed down on it. Behind him the building exploded, fire spewing from the windows behind him, rubble and glass pinging off the powerful armor. The screams fell on deaf ears, years ago he'd have stormed into a burning to save the people, or not blowon it up in the first place but now it didn't matter who died. Killing was the only way, the only way to make the Sith suffer like he had.

He boarded a speeder, promptly shooting the driver and casting her corpse out, then made flew himself as fast as possible to [member="Jareth Oldron"].

Judgement checked the time one more time, sighing through her mask. Two minutes before she had to move out.
Behind her on the rooftop, Dex frowned. Her bodyguard had been with the terrorist for two years, and never had he seen her as stressed as when she worked with the Forceless Future Society.

"J, what's wrong?" he asked through his own cloth mask, concern evident in his voice. Judgement didn't respond, checking the time. The anarchist had seen monsters, had seen people kill and torture, and had even done some herself, but none of them scared her quite like the people she found herself working with. [member="Jareth Oldron"], her current link to the FFS, was... intimidating, to say the least.
She worried sometimes that once the Forcies were dead, they would impose the order that she was sworn to destroy. But she shook those thoughts out of her head as her timer beeped, letting her know it was time to move out.

"It's time." She said simply, drawing her rapiers as Dex readied his blaster rifle. She leaped from the rooftop, rolling as she hit the next one to avoid injury. Dex following her example, Judgement moved along the rooftops to their objective. For now, her job was to support Jareth's attack, no matter her personal feelings for the man.

The firsts reports of an explosion rocking the city came to her ten (10) minutes after she and her boys had left the docking bay area on the upper eastside of Coruscant. She listened as numerous casualty reports and damage assessments filter through the com link attached to her right ear as they walked the streets in force. The citizens in this area had not yet heard of the attack on Coruscant, which was a good thing. The citizens were happy under the rule of the One Sith, who had taken great measures to ensure the citizens of the most populated planet were safe, well educated, and financially secure. This attack against these people would not go unpunished.
"Command....this is Darth Venefica," she said opening a direct link to the Sith Military Command Centre, "Transfer the coordinates to my com-man's data pad at once."
She continued leading her force through the streets when her com-man relayed the section that had been hit to her. She was familiar with Coruscant, despite how much she hated being here, and nodded her thanks to the soldier. She would make her way to the site but not directly. Whomever was responsible would be cautious in their plans, voting against taking a direct route away from the attack. And she was hoping for that.
The four main alleyways that connected to the main street where the attack took placed was now each haunted by twenty-five (25) of her men, with her leading one of the group in the centre alleyway on the right. They had no description to go off but they didn't need one. She would be able to sense the strong emotions radiating off the person or persons responsible, and when she found them; game over.

Ten, Nine, Eight...
The third and last cargo speeder joined the convoy as the last seconds counted down.
Seven, Six, Five....
Jareth strapped his mask around his face and the EFF fighters in the back prepared an E-web for the final phase of the mission.
Four, Three, Two...
The target came into sight below, a massive fort of a building; the words "Titan Industries Head Office" tattooed across its exterior.
ONE

"Hit it!" Jareth barked, gripping the support handle in the ceiling as the convoy plunged through traffic. Motorists laid on their horns as they flung their vehicles out of the path of the plummeting cargo freighters; their maniac drivers stopping for nothing. The lead speeder, right in front of Jareth, gunned the accelerator as it came out of traffic and lined itself up with the front doors of the Titan Office. Dozens of security and office personnel were leaving for the night only to be have their eyes glued to the daredevil speeder coursing in their direction.
111209041939_dark-knight-film-still-ap-graphicsbank.jpg
The dozens of employees outside were vaporized instantly, who know how many more inside were caught in the same violent fireball. Chunks of twisted metal and seared flesh were thrown for hundreds of meters, littering the street in a thick coat of destruction. Glass shattered into Jared's face, the shockwave kicking him in the teeth like a steel boot. Still in a raid plunge, the two speeders skid to a sparking halt on the street just outside the headquarters perimeter.
A horrid buzzing had replaced any sense of hearing Jareth once had, his head pounding like a drum as he flung himself to the pavement and haphazardly raised his DC-17. The rest of the fighters piled out through flung open doors, the drivers staying behind with two gunners each. When the last ground operator had left each ship, Jareth's ride shot back into the air and speed back into traffic to avoid detection; the second speeder simply lifted off the ground and flipped its backside toward the office.
"Forward!" Jareth screamed at the top of his lungs, his feet propelling toward the burning entrance of the building. Dozens upon dozens of employees were standing in shock on the higher levels, their faces poking out through gaping three-story chunk that'd been blown off their place of work. Without warning, those same faces were cut down in a hail of red fire. The speeder that stayed hovering above the street had begun tearing into the upper levels with the E-web blaster mounted in its back-end. Anyone standing in the front of the building wouldn't last seconds if they didn't fling themselves behind cover or get the hell to the back of the building.
Pushing through the destruction on the on the bottom floor, Jareth and Harlen's men fired execution shots into moaning victims who'd survive the blast. Sometimes the bodies were so blackened and mangled that they fired a round into them anyway just because it was impossible to tell if they were still breathing or not.
As Jareth and his men passed through the lobby, a group of shell shocked employees ran through their path. Jareth didn't hesitate turning the whole lot into a pulpy mess across the wall. He still couldn't hear, but he didn't need to right now. The team knew the drill, it was exactly as they practiced. The target would be upstairs, so that's where they were headed.
Turning a corner into a stairwell, Jareth and his men ascended to the second floor of the facility; the rapid pulsing of red E-Web fire lighting their way...

The explosion did a good job of pointing Jorin in the right direction. Yanking on the controls, the ex-soldier's airspeeder dived down through traffic, various already panicked drivers honking loudly as they veered to avoid him. But underneath the the armor he hardly even flinched. As he neared the burning entrance where [member="Jareth Oldron"]'s had landed, he jerked up on the controls and listened as the engines screeched loudly as they fought to level out the speeder.

Coming out of the sharp dive finally he cut the power and allowed years of training to kick in as he flung himself from the vehicle as it screeched across the duracrete. Rolling rapidly Jorin came up into a crouch. Suddenly all of the FFS guns in sight were leveled at him.

Out of the corner of his eye he spotted an employee desperately crawling towards him, looking for some kind of rescue. Looking down, Jorin unflinchingly free his sidearm and shot the man through the skull. He was with them. Believe it or not.

Elegant and depraved.
Rhuza's pace quickened as he neared the remaining corner, the last hall of an alleyway until he hit the streets once more- then the explosion sounded. Surprise claimed his visage as his hands unclipped from behind his back and he broke his posture to race to the streets.

Screams. Terror filled and visceral, along with blaring noise from every corner filled his senses. Beating. Pulsing. Echoing. What was the cause of this chaos? To whom did the responsiblity belong? The horns of the street vehicles beat against his ears with an unwanted rush, the tattoo of new cuts upon the ribcage, a fluttering bird trapped in a cage- tempest wings stuggling against echoing, hollow bars.

The emotions of the citizens around him were rich in fear and anxiety but nothing associated with terrorism. Rhuza stopped momentarily to listen for resounding explosions but this event, at least for the moment, was both singular and unique to this location.

They're small. Perhaps a band.

Rhuza watched [member="Cody Jorin"] from afar, ochre eyes unblinking as the terrorist freed a firearm from his person and executed the civilian. He may, in hindsight, realize he did the man more good in killing the injured civilian than perhaps what he thought he was accomplishing but this was no time to contemplate such things. He was already moving inside and Rhuza was nearly three blocks away, close enough to witness but too far to interject. Rhuza opened his comm before sprinting down the street. His voice shaky but not breathless- those on the recieving end would be able to understand him.

"We have an explosion in the Surface Streets. Sector 4-D." He paused to look up at the banner, and made out the name although only a few letters remained. "Its the HQ of Titan Offices. The building is ablaze, but still standing. All One Sith members and allies are encouraged to pursue. And contact law enforcement so they can lock this sector down."

And with that Rhuza lowered his wrist, tilted his head and with aid of the Force burst forward at a rate that the civilians around him were suddenly unable be unable to trace.

Looking up, Rhuza halted his motion, sliding to a still on the ash covered surface of the first floor. The scene threatened to stall the Sith Lord furthermore. He always found beauty in death and this was no different. The walls were scorched and red flames were present upon most of the infrastructure but it threatened him singularly in a matter that was almost non-existent. He lifted a skeletal, pallor hand as the ash of papers, furniture, or perhaps sentient flesh wafted through his fingers and rested on his palm.

Then Rhuza lowered his hand and allowed the ash to break apart on the floor. He pulled his sensitive mind together and simply listened.

Beyond the lick of flames he could hear the distinctive throb of hearts- survivors. He granted a fleeting glance to the scene and noticed that the visible victims were shot. The assailants hadn't taken the time to check behind doors, because Rhuza could plainly hear the throb of a heart, no- two. Turning to approach a flame covered door, Rhuza pulled it open with the Forceto see a twi-lek crouched in a smoky corner. Rhuza had no intention of saving anyone but should he be put in the position to do so, he would consider it.

"Civilian." Rhuza said simply in his usual raspy, distant voice.

Smut covered the Twi-lek but it's clothes weren't damaged. Rhuza assumed it was in this hole when the explosion happened. The alien remained silent however, and instead of taking the opportunity to flee, he stared up at the Sith Lord with wide, confused eyes. Finally, after a few more seconds passed the Twi-lek parted it's lips.

"Why?..." She started before submitting to a coughing fit. "Why would the Sith attack us? What have we done, Lord Helios?"

Taken aback, Rhuza stopped. She looked absolutely terrified, the look of a doomed gizka standing before a starving rancor.

Then he understood, he was the Nightmare in the dark to this one. The politics of the Sith had not reached her reasoning and the surprise of the attack influenced her to accuse the One Sith. This, surely, was within her own mind-for no citizen of this planet, not even on the lower levels, would claim such things in the face of a Sith, especially one whom's name she knew; not when he was the very being whom unlocked her tomb and offered her freedom.

The twi-lek shifted, but didn't move. Her eyes stared into his own but they were distant...so, so far away in a mask that was unblinking and distrustful. The Dark Lord, who was so generous, who had not forced the citizens of Coruscant to bath themselves in the misleading light and luminescence of the Jedi any longer was unappreciated in this moment. The One Sith, his people, had accepted the creatures of this planet, allowed them to thrive, to continue to build, to grow. And yet, this mongrel put the most sour of tastes in Rhuza's mouth. He was categorically offended. He took two steps back, waved the door closed and wrapped his spectral, ghostly grip around a large piece of burning furniture before slamming it against her coffin. Her suffering would allow her to recollect the final moments of her life before she died a few minutes afterwards.

Time was of little concern at this point. Perhaps those few minutes allowed allies to enclose, but he would press on without them for now. His enemies were in the building and they would not leave the way they came in. The dying twi-lek was no longer his concern. Rhuza was not a being whom possessed convictions of rescues, or notions of telltale hearts and fluttering sympathies- that was simply a moment for him to investigate something he stumbled across.

The second heartbeat would not earn the same investigation. The alien ruined that part of his muse. Instead he intended to track down those whom committed the crime responsible for this building. Although the damage, on this scale, is admirable as a sheer witness, it wasn't appreciated in Sith territory. Rhuza imagined they would feel emotions akin to pride, or perhaps excitement, but he wouldn't need to track emotions to find his prey.

Their campaign would end in the very building they ignited, and once they prepared to initiate the next step of their mission, the band of misfits that were responsible for this would be unaware of Rhuza's encroachment.

Coruscant. An ancient city-planet. T

The jewel of the Republic, once upon a time.

Her home.

Now, the spoils of the Sith.

Revving the speeder she'd "commandeered" from a civilian, Boomerang sped through the lanes of traffic, making her way towards the giant pillar of smoke created by [member="Jareth Oldron"] and his crew. She wasn't far, so the trip would not take but a few minutes. However, it was plenty for her to reflect on her inner self.

Ever since she was a little girl, Tiola had known of the Sith and what they'd done. But they'd never posed a threat, at least not until they took everything from her -- her family, her friends, her family's tattoo parlour -- all marked down as mere collateral damage.

Well, almost everything. They'd failed to take her training, and eventually, the spark that they'd stolen was returned to her, and Boomerang rose from the ashes of her grief. Now, though, it was that grief which made this attack particularly sweet.

About midway, the Jumper caught sight of 25 men led by an intimidating woman ( [member="Darth Venefica"] ) -- who were most definitely not with the FFS -- guarding one of the alleys which she'd been hoping to take.

She was going too fast to stop and reverse without taking up considerable seconds, and no doubt the beings had already been alerted to her presence. So, cursing her luck, the Jumper slammed on the accelerator and continued to speed towards the group before leaping out of the vehicle. She hoped to be able to make it to one of the buildings and maybe call for a ride from one of the otehr FFS operatives.

If someone on the streets below happened to look up, they would have seen a shadow passing over their heads, followed by a larger shadow. But few tended to look up, and they passed, unnoticed.
Judgement grunted as she landed on yet another rooftop, Dex landing just behind her. As she prepared to keep moving, the explosions went off. After the first few moments of surprise, the masked anarchist grinned.
"Looks like they started without me." She stated to the air, her bodyguard grunting in response.
"The Sith won't just ignore that, you know." He muttered, shifting slightly.
Without acknowledging him, she lifted a hand to the com-link in her ear, and said two simple words: "It's time."
From the rooftops around her, shadows seemingly detached themselves and landed before her, twenty-five in all.
Her elite, the best that the Instruments had to offer. They stared at her from behind their masks, awaiting orders. She grinned under her own mask, and drew both her rapiers.
"Come, my Blades. We came to pick a fight with the Sith, and it looks like our friends have taken care of the first punch for us."
With that, Judgement leaped off the rooftop onto the alley below, her Blades behind her, vibroblades at the ready. As they ran through the alleys towards their objective, Judgement couldn't help but smirk.
The Sith had no idea what was coming their way.

Coruscant, Titan Industries HQ

"And Darkness and Decay and the Red Death held illimitable dominion over all."
The smell of smoldering flesh and burning mortar wafted from the ruins of the lobby of Titan headquarters. The assault was foolish, the facility was literally a fortress with a corporate army of sorts guarding the facility at all times. It did not go without losses, however, and the single mother of three that had came to schedule an appointment for a job to feed those hungry children was now dead - vaporized by the thermal burst that ripped the front end of the lobby from its foundation. A secretary, a security detail, and several civilians were now among the dead within the realm of Chaos. These lives would have meant nothing to her, nothing at all, had it not been the very building she had been on her way to - though luckily her husband, [member="Alric Kuhn"], had not been either in the lobby on Coruscant at the time of the attack - and had it not been the headquarters to the very corporation that her husband owned and ran. Her metallic eyes skimmed over the wreckage, glimmering through colors that ranged the rainbow and beyond. Ultraviolet light, infrared, it was all laid bare to her - completely visible to her cybernetic implants. Alric, of course, likely would be seeing just what she was - perhaps angry with her for having decided to continue with her plans to visit even after witnessing the destruction.

"A pity. The flowers were so beautiful this morning."

The whisper no sooner had left her lips when she moved on towards the burning inferno that raged where the damage was minimized. A subconscious effort on her part pushed the air away from her, creating a spherical dome where the fire that raged around her was unable to enter. These terrorists might assume that the Sith Lords and the Dark lord might not know what to expect, that all of this might come as a surprise, but it was clear from the sheer amounts of chemicals, fertilizers, and cleaners purchased so close to the current time. Perhaps the insurgents weren't aware, but every government - of which the One Sith were no exception to - kept close eyes on all purchases of potential explosive components. Chlorine, fertilizer, and so on, all of these were on a long list of consumer products that when purchased in any sizable amount were reported to the government, of which the Sith had a direct hand in observing. It was clear that there had been some lapse in communication that led to this destruction, but the consequence was the arrival of the former voice of the Dark Lord himself rather than a small squadron of security forces. It mattered little, to Silara at least, as she hardly needed to fend solely for herself - Titan Headquarters had the equivalent of an army guarding it from within and without, and while it was remarkable that they had managed to unleash an explosion on the front lobby, it would be their demise to enter with so few against so many elite soldiers that were trained to a degree above the One Sith's infantry.

She could hear the voices, hushed, shouting, all of them bled together while she walked in, observing the dead employees laying in pieces across the tiled flooring. No words left her lips as she silently stalked her prey, lightsaber already in hand. Instead a brief sigh reached the tip of her tongue and was instead replaced with a slow chuckle. How quaint. Yes, how modestly cute. It was like being reintroduced to her apprenticeship training with Darth Veles, yes so much more elementary. The troupe was untrained, that much was clear, any form of stealth was lost on how they acted. She could feel the beating of their hearts, hear the firing of gunshots. None of this bothered her, it never would. It only bothered her that this was her husband's hard-earned money being flushed down the drain, that this was his hard-earned company being demolished with hardly any resistance, and they appeared to think they would succeed. Succeed in pissing her off. Darkness began to seep from the very walls of the building, smothering the halls, the rooftoops, and makeshift entrances with an impenetrable cloud of palpable dark side clouds. While certainly the effect of this would have been much more horrifying on those sensitive to the force, it was just as effective on these fools. Vision would be lost first, then morale degraded. Battle meditation was a joke on the ground in comparison to this dark art, sorcery at its finest. "Do they wish to die? So be it." Came her silent whisper, kicking ash up from the ground as she kept her pace. "C'est la vie."

Let Me Push That Button
Titan HQ - 13th Floor.

Well, this was rather annoying.

Freshly returned form his adventures with Laguz Kiran stood on the thirteenth floor of Titan Industries, he was dressed in a light rig of Titan Ghost Armor, the strange camoflauge system sitting inactive. In his hands was a standard blaster-rifle, thermal detonators lining his belt and the Titan Tomahawk sitting neatly in a small leather strap on his thigh, his WESTAR-34 in a similar set up on the opposite side. There was a frown on his face, a look of absolute annoyance.

The Zeltron wasn't exactly sure why anyone would be foolish enough to attack Titan Headquarters.

The place was guarded by an army of droids, men, and even a couple Herglics. Besides that the Headquarters served as little more than a simple holding facility, all the work that was done here was minor research projects and financial documentation on different locations. His head shook to the side. This wasn't about hurting Titan, it was about publicity.

“Cut the lights, Shut down the turbo-lifts, send a detachment of Sons to the server room, and send the A3's down to the lobby.” There should have already been some A3 legionnaire droids down there, but the remainder would be on other levels of the building. Moving them down there would prevent a further push into higher levels of the building. “And someone get those goddamn Herglics to the upper floors.”

Someone needed to protect the executives.

“Sir.”

Kiran swiveled his head to turn to one of his mean, the strange holographic skull mask staring back at him with an almost awkward expression. The Zeltron looked at him, then waved at him to speak.

“It seems Mrs. Kuhn has made her way to the lobby.”

“Ah.” Kiran said, his frown touching his lips. “Well then no need for us, right?”

That received a small chuckle through the crowd. The Sons were well aware of who Silara was, to them she was practically Alric. Every command she gave, every order was like his own. If Alric was their father, Silara was their Mother.

Despite the small joke the fourteen Sons of Titan that were in the room all finished gearing up, Kiran with his Ghost armor went first, moving through the building and heading to the stairwell. For a second he shifted, and then within the darkness Kiran disappeared.

"Contact!" The wall beside Jareth exploded into a flurry of ash and molten metal, a barrage of light blue blaster fire ripping into one of the eighteen fighters EFF fighters. Harlen and his men fell back, the third floor lobby filling with a group of soldiers. These must have been The Sons of Titan that the forward units had warned about, they were more like a professional army than a security force and these ones had a big-ass droid with them; which was laying down massive amounts of Anti-Infantry fire.

"Karking seven hells!" Harlen cursed as he blind-fired his rifle around the corner of the growing hole in the wall; his men passing up thermal detonators to even the playing field. Separated from his team by the hole, Jareth picked off Sons that strayed too far from cover. As the Sons inched closer, Jareth caught ear of a men charging down the stairs beside him. He turned on a dime, raising his blaster just as a barrel poked down from the fourth floor and fired. The bolt struck Jareth in the shoulder, knocking him back against the wall as he squeezed the trigger; littering the stairwell with blaster rounds and killing the men who'd come to overwhelm them. As the bodies toppled down the stairs, the sound of gunfire intensified and the scream of a second RFF fighter engulfed the hall as a second droid entered the battle and laid into the wall.

"Speeder team, come in!" Jareth screamed into his com, trying to contact the speeder that'd been laying into the upper floors with its E-Web blaster.

"We can hear you Jareth, what do you need?"

"We are pinned down on the third floor, dozens of security we need you to lay them out right karking now!"

"Copy, hold tight we are repositioning!" the voice cracked through the mic as the fire increased yet again. As Jareth sat in wait, he began to feel a dark presence engulf the building; a cold grasp that clawed at his very flesh. This darkness soon manifested further, becoming much more than a feeling as thick ooze began to seep in from the walls. It was the Sith, one of them must have finally arrived in the building; and they'd brought their trickery with them.

"Harlen, do we see what I see!?" Jareth screamed over the sound of battle, pointing to the dark liquid beginning to overtake the walls. The EEF fighter turned, his eyes nearly popping from his head as he saw the strange substance crawling out from seemingly nowhere.

"What the bloody kark is that?!"

"I have no idea, but I don't want to get caught in that poodoo." Flipping back to his comm, Jareth sent a message to the speeder outside, "We have problems, where the hell is our fire support?"

"Turret was overheated, we are repositioning now!" the response came as the sound of screaming engines grew outside; the cargo speeder lifting itself up a floor to bring fire down on the sons. Gusts of wind shot past the terrorist and his strike team as the speeder positioned itself outside the massive hole that'd been blown in the building. "E-web is going hot!"

The same violent flashes from the second floor began filling the third, powerful bolts of plasma tearing through cover and devastating the surprised troops. Grabbing the sole IED he planned on using for the server doors, Jareth cried out over the E-web fire as the legionnaire droids turned to return fire on the speeder. "Harlen, toss the flashbangs and give me covering fire!"

"What in the seven hells are you thinking Jareth? Are you trying get yourself blasted into oblivion out there?"

"Just shut it and do as I say!"

Harlen sneered, but he was a soldier and he would obey. Activating the flash bangs his squad had passed up earlier, Harlen threw three detonators into the increasingly ruined workspace on the third floor. An intense white flash was followed by an intense succession of explosions, sending Jareth into a quick combat roll into the room. Whatever that Sith trickery was, he couldn't let his team get caught in it. If he was lucky, the Sith ([member="Silara Kuhn"] ) was downstairs and he could disrupt her powers for at least a little while.

Leaping up from his roll, Jareth shot straight towards the two massive droids that were distracted with the speeder outside. They were giving his comrades a run for their money, hammering the side of the thick skinned speeder with light auto cannons. The slightly blinded sons had crowded around the droids for protection against the E-web, hugging its legs like babies hugging a breast. Without hesitation, Jareth threw the mining charge at between the legs of the droids before throwing himself to the ground. Hitting the floor, he rolled himself behind a nearby desk and punched the detonator.

The building looked a lot different in mid air, especially when it was covered in another layer of fresh smoke. The mining charge had lifted the entire room off the ground, including Jareth. Luckily, it was also collapsing the already delicate floors; sending the both of the 330 pound droids plunging through the second level and straight into the lobby. With any luck it would disrupt any reinforcements on the lower levels and do away with the force power for at least a few minutes while Jareth's team pushed onward.

Things were about to get very interesting, very fast.

[member="Silara Kuhn"]'s assumption that the group was untrained simply due to a lack of stealth during an operation intended to draw attention, was far from right. Some of the men struck him as nothing more than angry men and women who felt they'd been neglected by the powers that be, but others to an extent were a lot like him. Ex-military judging off the way they operated. But he couldn't speak with any real certainty when it came to them, but with himself? Well, they didn't use you as the genetic template for an army if you were a mediocre combatant.

One element of being as experienced as Jorin came in the form of never letting his guard down. The black-ballistic armor clad man had pushed past confused terrorists and made his way into the lobby of the building, sweeping the area, not for stragglers but for the likes of [member="Kiran Vess"].

Cody had been stranded on One Sith Coruscant for nearly a decade, all leading up to this. He knew Titan would have something far more dangerous than meager security officers, the likes of which he promptly shot after it crawled out from under a desk. Then One Sith troops that would arrive in force would undoubtedly be a threat to the majority of the team, but he'd wipe the floor with them, whatever the filthy rich corporation considered its elite would pose a far greater challenge.

With the battered DB-08 assault rifle in his hands, Jorin made his way through the smokey haze, the weapon bucking against his shoulder with each straggler he cut down, working his way to the stairs. It was only a matter of time before the fun started.
