In the Shadows, Ambition Stirs.
On the fringes of space lies over a hundred different threats, the Outer Regions Defense Force remain alert, to defend the galaxy from what lies beyond the outer rim. Stationed in the far reaches of space, this decentralized organization has a joint-militia populated by volunteers, civilians and Jedi alike, from many diverse settlements along the fringe that agree to take up arms and act as defenders against the terrors that plague them.
The Republic doesn’t exist out here...
Survival is left up to us.
We organize.
We stand watch.
We protect.
We opt for the casual and open faction style that incorporates everyone, allows them to move at their own pace, and come and go as they please. We want to place an emphasis on unique, story driven threads to create a hub for a variety of characters/writers, and where character development is pushed towards the front. To achieve this, we developed a simplified structure:
| THE SUMMIT |
The Summit is the governing council responsible for the overall direction and operation of The Outer Regions Defense Force. In order for the organization to maintain its quick responsiveness and adaptability in broad range emergencies, this governing body is charged with command of the O.R.D.F, a militia that draws on volunteers from many diverse backgrounds. Membership on the august body is limited to three persons at a time, consisting of: The Knight-Commander, Deputy Knight-Commander, and Grand Marshal.

Despite the multiple attempts to eradicate the Jedi, they have continued to be revered as guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy. The Knights of Urr were formed from a remnant of Jedi who decided to sever ties with the Galactic Republic to escape political scheming and the temptation of war to become a more stabilizing, and peacekeeping force, protecting the people of the fringe. Led by their Knight-Commanders they lead from the front, wielding the mystical energies of the Force and their signature weapons to honor life, and protect civilization.
The Knights of Urr
Despite dwindling numbers due to The One Sith War, several Jedi were able to gather and call for a separation from the Republic; They no longer had the numbers to fight on the front lines. Under the leadership of Grand Master Corvus Raaf, the order retreated to Lothal to recuperate. However, when Master Raaf disappeared, the order was left in disarray.A Jedi Schism erupted from the ensuing chaos, with half of the Order leaving, and the council disbanding. With only a handful of Jedi left, Master Shmi Labooda was elected as Grand Master, and began the Restoration Period. Retreating to Wild Space, the order rebuilt Exis Station with the aid of the Silver Sanctum Coalition. After liberating a Tarro colony and O’reenian civilians from a military dictatorship in the Unknown Regions, the Jedi remnant merged with the O’reenian Resistance to form The Outer Regions Defense Force, forming The Knights of Urr.
The Knights of Urr, is the Force-using division of the O.R.D.F. Led by the Knight-Commanders, this group of Jedi is charged with leading the militia from the front lines. Developed from the remnant of Jedi who left the Republic, the majority of them uphold traditions that they find cohere to the original teachings of the Jedi Order, but have sense been exposed to the methods of the new generation of Jedi. Soon the Force philosophies merged, and led to an increase in the unity, training, and discipline amongst their ranks.
Named after famed Jedi Master, Odan-Urr, The Knights of Urr look to be more than the peacekeepers they were sworn to be, having loosely-defined roles they rotate filling them from being healers, diplomats, and generals.
Based on ExisEast, they work under the purview of the knight-Commander who keep them on the path of the Light Side, and answer to The Summit. No strict codes bind them, the more decentralized approach affords them greater freedom and responsibility. From Exis Temple Station, Masters and knights train and guide the next generation, carry out missions of safety and security. Padawan are supervised by their superiors, and join in the operations alongside their teachers.The knights of Urr attune themselves to the longer view, and advocate reaching out to others who need them.

The O.R.D.F is a joint-military unit comprised of both Jedi and Volunteers. The Knights of Urr, make up Jedi Command, taking on military ranks and leading from the front. The Ground forces are made up of volunteers from diverse settlements, mercenaries, prisoners of war, etc. Overseen and led by their Grand Marshal, these people work to dedicate their lives to protect the edges of the galaxy from lawless villainy, and terrors from the dark.

- No, this is created to be supplemental to wherever else you are! Come write your own stories, at your own pace, whenever you want!
Who can Join?
- Anyone, at anytime, as long as it makes sense. Whether this is your only faction, or you stop by every now and then to volunteer.
What type of threads/stories will there be?
- The beauty of working in the Outer Rim and beyond, is that the possibilities for stories and threads are limitless (Sorta

Jedi? Do I have to leave my order to join yours?
- No, Jedi can be volunteers as well. You can be from any order, and still write with us. Feel free to stop by exis and train etc etc.
