The Order of the Grey

The Order's Layout and its Purpose.
The order is a completely neutral and separate faction of force users who owe allegiance to no one world or people. They are warriors for the causes they believe in, without being tied to those they help when they no longer follow the path they joined to fight for. They are ambassadors and mediators for opposing peoples, when times of war require a calm third party to help bring the galaxy to peace once more. They are advisers and defenders of the poor and the weak, or the rich and the strong.
These are the tenants of the Order of the Grey, its mandates only those that they not use their powers to gain power over those they choose to aid, or commit actions that include genocides and mass murders. With that said, any actions that fall along those lines, or are seen in the future as actions that are necessary to the improvement of the order, will result in a vote of expulsion by the Order's council.
The Order is based on an Apprentice, Knight, Master system, but this system is not purely based on power but rather on the merit and knowledge. One's position and eligibility for the Grey Council is based on their past merits and their knowledge into not only the force but into the galaxy as a whole and its species or cultures. This means that you could be Emperor Vitiate for all it matters in power wise, wont mean a darn thing in the end but rather the knowledge of the techniques.
The Grey Council consists of a thirteen seat council when full, normally only twelve of the council members participate in votes while the thirteenth is named the Council Speaker. The Speaker acts in a similar way as the Grandmaster but may only vote on should the council's votes tie or should a matter of utmost importance come up, as such they are more an observer to assure the subjugation of the council so that one member might hold more power over the others, or as a general adviser and historian in most cases.
Ranks and Saber Color.
The Saber color of the order is no designated color though the most prominent sabers shown to be handled by the Order's students are that of White, Grey, and Black blades powered by Synth crystals created by the students themselves. This though is not mandatory as a member can hold a saber no matter what color it is, from black to white, or silver to gold, or even red to blue.
The Ranks as mentioned above are on a Apprentice, Knight, Master progression system, but a Knight in the order may hold the same political power as a master in the Order unlike in the Sith or the Jedi. The council can be filled with Knights, filled with masters, or even both may occupy the council at the same time. That being said the title of master is not only given to those of great power, but those who have demonstrated exceptional ability in knowledge of the force and the normal galaxy, or even in their abilities outside of the force, even if said ability included slicing or droid construction.
Paragons of the Order.
The Paragons of the Order are not necessarily members of the order itself but of the past who have shown their ability to walk both light and dark or overcome periods of great struggle with inner demons to find their own path in the force. As such those like Jolee Bindo, Darth Traya, Meetra Surik, Revan, Cade Skywalker and his ancestor Luke, as well as many more like A'Sharad Hett before he became Darth Krayt.
Ask any question that i did not elaborate on and your answer will be assured and be crafted quickly.

No as we would not, and will not, be hostile to any group. Templar, Sith, Dark Jedi, or regular Jedi. Unless you do something to harm the members of the order of course.

To provide people with an alternative to the factions that pretty much force characters to take military roles to improve themselves. Its point is to gather and protect while also improving upon that knowledge and spreading it among a neutral group devoted to the betterment of knowledge in both the light and dark arts as well as the neutral arts. Furthermore to allow force users not affiliated with a major faction, or those in current ones that seek a place where (Almost) any study shall be accepted without persecution. Lastly it allows for the fact that a neutral adviser or negotiator can actually involve themselves in the greater galaxy, as i noticed most treaties seem to always favor one side over the other by a large margin due to OOC shit. This is to remove that OOC aspect and allow for a pure IC aspect from characters not in either faction to truly evaluate the situation and the war without having actually participating in it should i be able to get enough influence with this group.

Okay. So Oka's a rogue but is a Jedi as well. (90% rogue) Most likely, everyone he knows thinks he's an old Jedi idiot. (For reference) I wanna help in the war but then again, having some dark side in you sucks. Maybe I'm not getting my point across. Would the order of the grey fit him better considering he doesn't really like fighting in this dumb war? Also, would training be more efficient in your order? Not really getting that much where I am now.
