The Omega Protectorate

Who are you?
The Omega Protectorate is a political entity formed from the old company of Omega Pyre. Omega Pyre still exists, and is the principle fighting force of the Protectorate, but it no longer directly governs territory it controls.
OP is made up of three interlinked components;
• Omega Pyre – The main strike force of the Protectorate. This elite fighting force fulfils a vast variety of roles both inside and outside the Protectorate. We hire ourselves out to other groups when the terms are right, and also accept contracts in bounty hunting, infiltration, data acquisition and mercenary work. This is where most writers will find themselves, as it’s the part which is most on the front lines. The current commander of Omega Pyre is @[member="Siobhan Kerrigan"].
• Omega Defence Force (ODF) – To defend the vast expanse of territory under their control, the Protectorate has a formidable fleet and military force. This fleet is equipped with powerful warships and the latest technology, while the ground forces are more designed for garrisoning and backing up Omega Pyre’s efforts. Most writers would likely go towards the fleet side of the ODF, as the ground side is largely overshadowed by Omega Pyre. The current leader is @[member="Allaina Mare"].
• Protectorate Council – This is the legislative and legal body of the Protectorate. Each sector is represented in the Council, not unlike the Republic Senate, by Councillors. The Councillors are elected by the planets making up their sector. Note that the Council does not have executive powers, that is held by the Protector, though they can propose legislation. There are currently no writers in this branch as it is new. Any who wish to join are more than welcome, however.
Ruling over all of this is Lady Protector @[member="Cira"] herself. The position of Lord/Lady Protector is held for life after a vote by the Council and the inner circle.
Second to the Protector are two Exarchs, @[member="Tegaea Alcori"] and @[member="Ayden Cater"]. They are assigned special areas within the Protectorate and have delegated supreme authority in those areas. As The Protectorate grows, more jobs here might become available.
So you’re not just mercenaries?
No. While Omega Pyre started out as a Private Military Contractor (PMC) we have grown to such an extent that such an organisation is impossible to keep unchanged. Thus, we became the Protectorate, but with the functions of the old OP intact as well.
What are your goals?
Our goals are to bring as much of the galaxy under our protection. However, we are not a repressive regime. All planets are free to manage their own affairs with minimal financial and legal interference by the Protectorate. The galaxy is a dangerous place, and OP is here to prevent the ravages of pirates, isolation and oppression.
Do you allow Force Users?
Absolutely! The Lady Protector herself is a powerful user of the Force, as is Ayden Cater. We can both train and utilise your unique talents.
What are your views of other factions?
• We have close trading and economic ties with the Republic, but we are not part of them, and disagree on some fundamental issues. They are, however, our closest friend.
• While we do not have a rivalry with the Sith like the Republic does, we are opposed to their methods and ideals.
• We respect the Mandalorians and Echani for their skills, and are prepared to work with them in the right situations.
• We do not approve of the Hutt Cartel or SSS because they use morally reprehensible means to attain their goals. We do not engage in slave trading, smuggling or assassination.
What positions and roles do you need?
Any! From pilot to medic to star destroyer captain to assault trooper we can take anyone and make them a well-paid, useful asset to the Protectorate.
What’s the pay like?
We pay at 5-15% above standard market rate depending on who it is. You will also receive a proportion of the net profits from any operation if you work as a contractor.
