The Obscured Pending Darkness

On board the starship MXS Morihei Ueshiba.....

Kixi starred at the viewpoint of her Daedalus class starship. The blurred stars, the distorted space of hyperspace always a fascination it was for her. The Trandoshan who had come onboard during their last stop for repairs, in which Kixi had invited to join her after she had defeated him in a fearless altercation in a some run down bar who's life she had sparred had hardly spoken 2 words in the days he had been aboard. The Trandoshan had instead decided to take refuge in the lower levels of the ship. He had reluctantly agreed to join Kixi's quest, whatever that was, but was more the less eager to go knowing that they were heading for the Capital, and whatever she had had in mind, surely had to be worth the while. Besides he had many contacts there too. However he ever so hated the young female Jedi Kixi more and more. Yet the Trandoshan was left mystified. Intriguing as it was, the young Jedi had wanted to kill her, had had the opportunity to do so, yet had sparred him. Knowing how much he hated her, she had since treated him well wanting to actually be his friend, something the Trandoshan had found impossible to fathom.

Kixi decided it was time to go visit the Trandoshan. They were almost at Coruscant and he needed to briefed on his tasks ahead. To the lower levels she went. She found Vinskk sitting at a table, cleaning the barrel of his rifle. "Hello Vinsk" Kixi announced herself to the Trandoshan who clearly was annoyed at her presence. Kixi could feel the hatred inside of him. He growled at her, but then reluctantly composed himself. "We will be arriving at Coruscant shortly" she began to say. "However first I wish to speak to you regarding some personal matters. I sense your hate in me is strong, but I tell you I am not from here, I am different from the other Jedi. I have travelled far, from where you cannot even imagine to fathom, I only hope that in time you will see my sincerity and that deep down in my heart, I wish only to be your friend, your ally and not your enemy". Kixi's face and overall stance appeared emotional and her words spoken with true affection. She waited for Vinskk to answer.

The Trandoshan looked at Kixi with disdain. She may have spared his life, but that didn't stop him from disliking her on principle. She was still a Human, to put it cut and dry. Of course, he would lay his life down for her and serve her anyway he could. He had to. But did he have to enjoy it? No.
Vinskk stood up and stretched his legs a bit, putting his rifle down on the table. "Vinskk is ever Human's servant,"he said with bitter emphasis on the word servant. He made it fairly clear on what their relationship was: slavery. How ironic, Vinskk thought. All these years of being the slaver and now I am the slave. Deep down, however...he knew she deserved more than that, a better answer than the one provided. He sensed the sincerity in her voice, the way that Kixi longed to have some sort of relationship with the cold Trandoshan. The least he could do was not spit at her with hate. He scratched the back of his scaly head with a talon and added, "Vinskk...knows Kixi is true with what she says." This was the first time that the lizard had referred to Kixi as herself, instead of 'Human' or 'Jeedai'. Before he drowned what was in his mind with anger or pride or shame, Vinskk quickly added, "Trandoshan will try to change the way he views Kixi." He then quickly walked out of the lower levels and to the engine room, needing some time alone to sort out his emotions...

Kixi stood there for a moment. Not really thinking of much initially, she then gathered her thoughts, frowned to herself as she headed back to her own captain's quarters. She needed to wear other clothes. Once at Coruscant, she, along with the trandoshan warrior, intended to venture deep into dangerous territory where crime was prevalent, and as far as law enforcement went, there was little or none. She didn't want to be seen as a Jedi as such law abiding citizens would undoubtedly be given an unwelcoming introduction. Something she clearly didn't want even with the strong and powerful trandoshan warrior by her side.

She put on her long thin dress, as this still allowed her to move quickly, yet conceal her lightsabre. She wore a thin sleeveless top on he upper body. Following this she attached her utility belt and holstered a blaster pistol similar to that used by the common bounty hunter or smuggler. In her utility belt she stored a few devices, mainly equipment that could be used to create a dampening field and lastly she holstered a rather large sword on her back known as a Katana back on one of the worlds in the Trident Cluster of galaxies. Primitive no doubt to the people of this world, perfect if needed were a dampening field ever deployed. Lastly she put on her head brace. She starred herself in the mirror admiring her own elegance and beauty. She couldn't help but smile as she felt excitement and adrenaline rush through her like being hit by a sudden gust of wind.

Her comm squelched. It was the bridge, her first officer Mako. "We will be dropping out of hyperspace in about 5 minutes", said the soft sweet voice of the first officer. "We should be able to gain clearance to land. Our ID should display that our original place of origin is from the Seswenna System". Kixi loved hearing Mako's voice. Mako was more than just her first officer, as the 2 were more than colleagues or even friends for that matter. "Good", Kixi replied, "We don't want any unwanted attention and a ship of extra-galactic origin would otherwise have done that. You are in Command Mako, make all the necessary arrangements etc as I'll be leaving with the Trandoshan once we have landed". There was a brief pause, "Affirmative", Mako acknowledged, "All should be easy for us", she paused a moment her voice suddenly changing from firmness to a very sweet caring voice, "Please be safe out there Kixi"........

With the ship landed and all formalities and checks done by Coruscant control, Kixi found Vinskk waiting for her in the docking bay. "Ok Vinskk here we are", she said out aloud almost in a dance like walk as she approached him. Clearly she wanted to be here, looking more excited than a child getting onto a spaceship for the first time. "Time to get going", she hand gestured to the Trandoshan. "I'll brief you in more detail as we walk out of the spaceport". The 2 exited the ship and began walking away from the spaceport.

Vinskk looked at Kixi and shook his head. She was like a child, clearly excited to be in Coruscant. The Trandoshan wondered how happy she would be after seeing some of the Undercity. He clicked out, "What is the plan, Jeedai?" while checking out his surroundings. The landing pad was clear of personnel, so anything said here would be between them. Vinskk and Kixi continued walking away from the ship as he awaited an answer.

Kixi continued her dance like walk for a few more seconds, humming to herself almost as if she were trying to sing. Like a child she indeed appeared to look like. And suddenly she stopped it. All seriousness re-entering her elegant posture once more. Then with her serious tone of voice that the Trandoshan first had heard her speak with when they had met in not so best of circumstances said, "We are going to the Underground City. I need a slicer, the best there is who can get into the most secure places without being traced or caught". She stopped walking and looked at the Trandoshan eye to eye, "Are you up to the task Vinskk?"

[member="Vinskk Revamp"]

"Do I have a choice?"
Vinskk thought about this current task. A slicer? It seemed that the Jeedai wanted to break into a place. But what for? He pondered this as they continued walking, about to reach a lift going down.
[member="Kixi Rajki"]

"Choice you always have, but if you choose not to help me, then me is left helpless", Kixi said in quite a rhythmic manner. "You do want to help me do you not?"

[member="Vinskk Revamp"]

"Of...of course. Vinskk is honored to serve." He really just wanted to finish the job and drown himself in liquor, but he kept those thoughts to himself. Vinskk shrugged and kept moving, thinking of the people he would hopefully get to kill later on.

Kixi looked at Vinskk and scanned his mind. She caught him at moment where he was off his guard. "Who do you want to kill", she said lifting a brow in a non approving manner as she folded her arms. Before he could answer she continued, "Hum, you will do no such thing in my presence unless absolutely necessary is that understood?", now sounding irritated at the Trandoshan. What did she really expect she thought to herself though, the fact he is serving her wasn't by all means going to change him. Who was she kidding.

The Trandoshan laughed, a dry, clicking noise, before addressing the Human again. "What should Vinskk do with scum of Undercity then? Cuddle scum?" Vinskk's outburst had made some people walking next to them uncomfortable, but he didn't care. Let them hear, Vinskk thought.

Kixi stepped in real close to the trandoshan and put her fist on his chest. Not to try and hit him of course as all he would have had to do was give her a backhand to the head. "Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr", she mumbled at him in sheer frustration. Anyone watching would have thought the young woman was out of her mind, as little did they know that she was the sole human to have ever defeated this trandoshan in combat. She stepped back as she re-composed herself. "Ok, ok, ok Vinskk. I know I'm boring you at the moment. I'm really sorry. Truly I am. Just get me a good reliable slicer pleeeeeeeese. I promise things will get interesting from then on". She twitched her neck a little and whispered something close to his ear. "Before all this over, you might have no choice but to kill anyway". Kixi stepped back another half step and smiled with her mischievous grin that the trandoshan had by now grown used to seeing, that just maybe things would begin to heat up soon. Kixi cleared her throat and added with a waiving of her arms and hands, "If you can as to kindly lead the way, we can get on our way".

The Trandoshan shook his head in an almost 'whatever' sort of gesture, then wordlessly dragged the Human onto the lift going down. The ship closed as it reached full capacity and started to descend, the beautiful architecture of the surface beginning to give way to graffiti stained walls and shoddy, run down buildings. After about 5 minutes, the lift touched down and opened to a scene of a Gran and Rodian fighting over a pile of credits on a table, while a sly pickpocket reached over and took them. Dealers, prostitutes, and toughs all looked over the newcomers, eyeing the huge Trandoshan and the smaller girl it seemed like he was protecting. A dirty, unkempt Human dealer walked up to the pair departing the lift and opened his trench coat, showing what looked like packets of spice and death sticks. "You wanna buy anything, hmm, hmmm?" Vinskk shoved the man away, only for him to get into a fight with a rival dealer that he bumped in to as the smell of the place reached Kixi the only way broken sewer lines and the stench of unwashed bodies could, and she covered her mouth and nose with her hand. The Trandoshan saw this and laughed, then whispered in her ear,"Welcome to hell, Jeedai..." as someone, perhaps an enforcer of whatever crime boss this block was under, gunned down the two dealers, sending people walking faster in various directions...

It was scum and villainy in all its glory. Kixi felt sick in the stomach as she saw those 2 dealers drop to the ground. It was so sickening that it gave her the shivers. Goosebumps could be seen all over her exposed arms. She had fought and killed in combat, she was one of the leading scientists in the creation of a deadly genetic virus used to eradicate a lizard like invaders, in which she had given the final command to execute, invaders who had intended on annihilating a human population in an industrial development world, not yet a space fairing one who could not defend themselves on their own. But this. Cold blooded murders, killing as a first result instead of a last, simply wasn't her style, nor was it the Jedi way.

"Ok Vinskk, your turn to laugh it up at my expense", Kixi humbly conceeded. Just as she said that, 2 rough looking slave dealers approached them. "How much you want for the girl", they tried asking the Trandoshan. "You gotta be kidding me", Kixi thought to herself in utter disgust. She raised her hand and waived it, "You have no business whatsoever here, you will continue on your way". One of the bigger dealers, who's stench almost made Kixi vomit responded, "We have no business here", and the 2 left. Kixi turned to the Trandoshan, half side nodded her head, lifting her shoulders in what was supposed to be a show off gesture, proud she had sent the 2 away without a sign of violence. "I think we should get going to where we should be going as quickly as we can if it isn't too hard with you".

he watches from a far from the shadows a good dispaly of killing but that wosent the point but unlike the rest of his order tristan was not shy about working with a jedi to get what he wanted or need not saying he loved the jedi no he was a sith half sith pureblood at that the other half was human and it would be his luck that his father was a jedi knight giving tristan alittle natrual touch withen the light side but it was small and only showed itself at rare times but that was not the point at this moment the point was to prehaps befriend this women despite her alliance to the jedi order but wasnet sure if she was has open has he was to a risk like this he jumos from the roof landing with athug in fornt of her and the lizard which strengh was known of that to match purebloods but he waent going to fight unless it came to that and only that unlike many sith that would just kill both of them just cause he rises removing his hood revelaing blood red skin and black dread locks that reached to his shoulders and upper back a small smile creeps apon his face staring into the one of the jedi then slowly switchingto the lizard

Kixi flinched unnoticeably as the Trandoshan and her continued walking. She sensed something rather percular nearby. A familiar but now distant emotion she had felt only once not that long ago. And it clicked. At the remote bar where she had encountered her companion Trandoshan. He had taken the young barkeep hostage and Kixi had momentarily succumbed to the dark side, releasing the hostage by temporarily force gripping the Trandoshan's neck and forcing him to let go. The dark side as it were supposedly referred to. Something not too familiar to her at her home of origin. Or so she had been blindly lead to believe. Yet wasn't that artefact she was sent to find by her master, His Supreme Overseer, related. She was not sure yet, confused, but what was for certain was that that presence she suddenly felt in the Force was most certainly related. And then the dark presence suddenly disappeared as quickly as it had momentarily been there.

like many sith did Tristan experimented with the light side the feeling the power it was nothing compared to the dark though but just being able to do so without letting it take over was a feat only a few sith can clam they actually did it was no dout cause of his fathers light side DNA in him. unlike many purebloods he had no boney growths on his face or chin or any golden piercings that his race was known for standing at a standard height and a medium build Tristan was a tank in combat he could take a hell of a beating and return just or more of the same punishment no dout cause of his specialization in juyo the wickedly offensive berserk form of combat focusing on brute force attacks and intently counter attacking it is the most demand of the 7 styles of classical lightsaber combat physically and emotionally many juyo user chain force or unarmed attacks into there lightsaber moves such has punches or kicks and was ok against multiple enemies but made for just one Tristan took that into account when predicating if he will have to fight most transdrogans being hostel against siths and for good reason and a jedi padawam being a cake walk that was only if he had to fight

Vinskk roared in laughter at Kixi's expense, a rare burst of emotion. He quickly composed himself and said,"Vinskk should have sold Kixi off, the credits would have been well appreciated." The Trandoshan then pointed to a decrepit cantina just around the corner called the Gizka. "Vinskk may know slicer Gran in there. Very resourceful. Very expensive." Without another word, he stormed off, shoving through the crowd of scum and riffraff around him.

Kixi quickly followed the Trandoshan. She shoved and pushed through the busy crowd although no where near as quick as he could. It didn't matter however, she would just order a drink and sit in a quiet corner in the bar and await him.

Kixi entered the cantina. It didn't seem all that busy. It smelt of ozone and it was clear some kind of blaster fight had recently broken out. She ordered her drink at the bar and then sat down in a quiet corner slowly sipping on her drink. Suddenly she felt that dark presence again. What could it be. It began to disturb her. It made her feel uncomfortable. Very uncomfortable for that matter. She scanned her surroundings, but found nothing out of the ordinary. And so she thought as not so far away from a distance, hidden in darkness, observing her, yet obscuring his dark side sensitivity watched that same Sith Lord who had spotted her outside. Kixi was in danger. She was a proficient master of the Force, but had never encountered a Sith before. She sat down and waited for the Trandoshan to return with the Slicer.

Tristan knew he was no longer unknown or hiding so he just walked out the darkness right up to the woman a small smile pasted across his face " knew you would detect me sooner or later" the girl was striking in terms out looks if they could kill he would be vaporized no dout about it he can barley get his other words out when he actually looked her in the eyes those eyes pricing into his own " um..i-I not here to.......fight I just thought id set out to make jedi companions like my mother did before me "@Kixi Rajki

Kixi remained seated and looked up at the intruder."hmmmm". She momentarily starred at the tall dark man who had just appeared out of nowhere. He clearly knew she was Force sensitive. Lying to him wasn't going to do her any good. "And what makes you think I'm a Jedi", Kixi spoke slowly keeping her calm despite her heart pounding at a hundred miles an hour. "Just cos I'm Force sensitive it doesn't make me a Jedi". Kixi looked calm and composed, but clearly she felt petrified inside. This dark warrior, he too was Force sensitive, but what actually was he. All she knew is that if he wanted to start a fight, he could give her some serious trouble. Kixi knew how to hide her emotions well on most occasions, however in the presence of this man, she felt as if she were faltering. "I have travelled from far, I don't know what you can possibly want from me, but please do sit down", Kixi made a hand movement pointing to the chair opposite hers. "I guess we can talk. Tell me your intent, give me a reason for us to be friends". She smiled at the man.
