OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
SETTING INFORMATION
  • Nexus Name: Nexus of Rebirth
  • Nexus Alignment: Dark Side
  • Location: Jutrand
  • Affiliation: Sith Order, Darth Reficite
  • Size: Medium
  • Strength: Moderate
  • Accessibility: Towards the outskirts of the capital, lays an area covered in old ruins. While not difficult to find, to open the large vault door installed is rather puzzling. To open it, one must know how to manipulate it with the Force and answer the inscription inside written in High Sith "What is the Cycle of Life and Death?". If placed in the answer "Rebirth" through the Force, the vault door will open. While not overly complicated, there are a few guards in place that are considered oculists and some guards from the Sith Order.
  • Description: On the outside, it seems to be a large placement of old ruins, considered of pillars and other likes of the sort. The only thing unusual is a large vault door that has been alchemized with the Force. Once it has opened, it reveals a very large interior that connects throughout the complex. Connected with strange red like strings that mark across, it is mostly dark with various guards hiding in sections of the hallway to ambush or guide the way when someone is lost the to the approximate room. Most rooms outside the hallways are well lit and seem to lead into large antechambers of various types. It generally goes deeper and deeper into the complex, the deeper one goes, the stronger the concentration of the Force it becomes along with the larger of the antechambers, some becoming large elaborate places of coffins and Sith Runes decorating the walls.
NEXUS EFFECTS
The Nexus has been twisted into two primary effects. The first is to allow an easier use of Dark Transfer, to allow the area to start bringing back those from the dead more easily than in other areas of the galaxy. This feeling is the most overwhelming, the feeling of hopelessness seems to fill the entire area to those not accustomed to the Dark Side of the Force, the feeling of loss overwhelming those that are not used to the feeling. The second effect is the keeping of "Souls", the dark side source of energy to bring back those from the dead from uses of Force Drain. A large Chalice is used in the main heart of the Nexus, where the Dark Side is of overwhelming hopelessness and despair, alchemized to keep as many as possible trapped until their use later in other areas of the Nexus. These Souls are the only way most, if not all of the Areas of the Dark Side work in the Nexus, making it unique in practice.

POINTS OF INTEREST
The Orb of Twisted Life: An unusual holdover from Darth Reficites time thousands of years ago, this chamber houses a very large spherical orb, made of dozens of slotted pieces. Inside the Orb, it can fit an individual, creature or materials of around ten meters in diameter. Given a spot on the ground, it is surrounded by supports and is ensured to not collapse if one was to lose control. Once enclosed, the Sphere emanates Dark Side Energy and attempts to turn the person inside into a twisted living thing of the Force. If it is alive, it is in incredible pain as it is stripped of its bare essentials in life except to serve those of the Dark Side while also turning it into a living weapon molded by the users. If it is inanimate object, it is molded into something of the Living Force, twisted into the vision of those using the Orb of Twisted Life. This can take several hours, days or weeks depending on the vast amount of modification.

The Cases of Imprisoned Glass: Towards the top of the catacombs is a large section of glass cases, ranging from various sizes in a rather decorated red and black room. Given how the Force Nexus can imbue items, weapons and other objects with the Force, it is wisely kept stock with robes, swords and other equipment in glass cases. Here, one can find various types of naturally alchemized items ranging from non-practical to rather powerful Force Artifacts. These do take time however and are one of the most heavily guarded items in the room. The process of changing an item over takes at least one month and the process is indeed random.

The Area of Lifeless Change: Very rarely does this room ever get uncovered, it is even more so when the occasion actually requires it. Very close towards the Chalice near the center of the Nexus, the Area of Lifeless Change is a place where Metamorphsis is accomplished much more easily with other practioners. Lit by four blue flames and is at a chilling temperature, it is one of the most sacred rooms of the entire Nexus. The patient/victim is laid on the center and is changed over time from various people skilled in the art of sorcery and manipulation. With the assistance of the souls, it starts to permanently alter the other persons body. This is a very elaborate process and is not meant to be taken lightly, the price ranging from simple to extreme if not wishing to use cybernetics, regrow limbs, change sex through surgery. It is even possible to change species though the cost is quite vast and expensive.

Chamber of Renewal: If death was to befall the members of the Sith Order before their time, they may be taken by chance into the Chamber of Renewal. Inside is a modified Bacta Tank that keeps a fresh cloned body sedated inside, a humanoid body of various types. Those of Seers could predict when the next one is to be reborn and the bodies changed out as authorized from Darth Reficite. Once a person has died, they may have a chance to come into the Chamber of Renewal and take over the body, provided they know how. A practioner is always on station, changing liquids or updating the runes and when a person is showing signs of movement, the person notifies the whole staff and brings the person out of the chamber so the true rehabilitation process begins. This is not an easy task and while the soul use is rather minimal, there is only one body at a time in the Chamber of Renewal. It is used very wisely...not everyone has a second chance from Death, possibly not even the Emperor.

The Catacombs of Sacrifice: Slaves, Undesirables, Prisoners or similar are placed into coffins deep underground. Once they are gathered and trapped, they taken deep underground into the Nexus, placed into a room where they are slotted into catacomb like walls to whither away or die. Those that show "affinity" in the Force or as a strong individual, are placed around the center of the room. A practioner enters the room or several, using the abilities of Life Drain or Force Drain to whither away all those in the walls. Those that they need for Sith Spawn or ritualistically bringing back to life, are focused onto the coffins themselves. The soul of the strong are left from the body and replaced with one ready to serve once more the Sith Order, though a majority of the time this will fail and cause the death of the body itself. In any event, the ritual in this room adds to the soul count of the Chalice.

Room of Rebirth: Darth Reficite has been known for his strong knowledge of Dark Transference, of the Force in Life and Death. Having died several times and also not being able to resurrect himself in the last two thousand years, it was ensured he could come back once more. Inside the room is many lit candles, carefully placed with Sith Runes decorating the entire chamber. The water is super heated and will burn on the touch, multiple entry ways towards the Chalice is seen from all around but only one entryway from the main facility. On the risen steps are two statues, inanimate objects but imbued with the Dark Side of the Force to produced two Smoke Demons if approached by anyone whose signature does not match Darth Reficite. On top of the stairs is a large coffin, one that is considered filled with vile fluids, bile and organs harvested from dead bodies. Once Darth Reficite is again killed, his soul will quickly retreat to the Room of Rebirth to reform a new body. The process will take several days but once it is completed, the coffin will open and reveal...well a revealing Darth Reficite back into the land of the living. Note if there is no refill to the coffin, he cannot come back until it is handled.

Chalice of Souls: The size of the chalice is of constant fluxuation in dependent to the amount of souls inside, decorated in vast number of violent gemstones and made from Songsteel. Kept in the middle of the Force Nexus, it is the sole corrupter of the Force Nexus in general. With all the misery, hopelessness and despair given, it is the corrupter and keeper of all Souls taken and a reservoir to be dropped off. Multiple avenues exist all around but they are small as pinholes save for one that connects directly from the Room of Rebirth. The main reason is to prevent anyone from destroying it with the pinholes being guides for the souls to go through. The Chalice when approached, will start echoing the feeling of despair, before making visions of the worst times of someones life, making them relive failure after failure. Only those of true strong will or righteous hearts can pass through without harm. All around the room is thick stone slabs, decorated as it does nothing more than decoration.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Force Nexus of Rebirth was not what it was once became. Thousands of years ago on the planet, it became targets of the Hundred Years of Darkness, causing the city-planet to lose a valuable park-like garden from the planet. It collapsed in a series of earthquakes deep within the planets crust, becoming lost save for the dust that remained all across the planets surface and the valuable architecture that once remained near the planets surface, hidden away from the tall infrastructure that was now the city skylines centuries later. Millenias later, during his tutelage under the current Sith, Darth Reficite found and discovered the Force Nexus that laid beneath the city. It had become a foundation of greenery, a small hidden lake of various scopes of water, purified with life jumping all around with caverns that sprawled all under the city-scape. Darth Reficite however could do nothing at the time and left it alone, keeping a record of it to come back once more later on.

All throughout the millennia after millennia that followed, it was never revisited till the rebirth of Darth Reficite. It never even crossed his mind to revisit the Force Nexus after all those years away, only until his chance meeting with the Sith Order did that change. The capital was surprisingly in Jutrand which lent a rare chance to corrupt a Force Nexus close by, without having to be scrutinized or possibly alerting those of the Light Side to the planet. The process took only a few short weeks, the majority of time having been to construct the Chalice of Souls in the center of the Force Nexus and gather a great deal of sacrifices. With Darth Reficite collecting the souls on odd missions, the Chalice would soon fill with dread and despair, catacombs built to supply souls that only had despair in their minds from withering away. Within only two months, the preparation was ready and Darth Reficite, along with various practioneers drained all the souls in the newly built Catacombs of Sacrifice at once. It was as if the ocean flipped, the Nexus changed drastically and started to form waves of the Dark Side around it, turning from a gentle giant to a hateful nexus of despair.

With it being successful, various other rooms were built in the process ranging from Darth Reficites personal quarters and resurrection room, specialty resurrection areas, vast areas for the Force to change items and even an area for metamorphosis. It was indeed a very strange process but now with the Force Nexus in operation the way the Sith Order sought fit, it would soon become an epicenter of activity...mostly for those who have died and seek to be brought back once more.
