The Next Generation

She was still in search of something...an answer; she had yet to find it. However, she could not avoid her Jedi duties, and the thing about her traveling all over allowed her to come into contact with those who were destined to become paragons in the Force. With war touching every inch of the Galaxy, she knew there was a calling for more hero's, but who would teach them?

Before she left she took with her her Padawan from the Silver Jedi. She didn't coerce him into following her, but she did however present him with the option. He would be free to return whenever he felt the need; and that went for all of her students. Her travels brought them more potential in the Force, and instead of taking them to the faction she believed they would represent the most, she decided to take them with her to continue their training on her own. After all she was an instructor at heart.

Her Jedi Training Cruiser harbored her students as they made their way to Ansion, for training in seclusion. This was by far the largest group of students she trained at once, and she was determined to help them reach their full potential. She made her way to the Bridge of her ship, she had announced earlier she wanted to meet her students there around this time. Sochi was always the one to be a bit early, just to see who would arrive first. This was also a test, one so simple, and so easy to pass.

She stood at the holoterminal, facing the blue shimmering images before. The room was mildly lit, and so there was a blue glow cast across the room minimally. She would wait...

Dagos Terrek arrived on the bridge of cruiser. His robes flowed neatly behind him as he walked. For once it looked like Dagos was early. He was here now with Master Ru and a couple other students traveling across the stars looking for training.

When Master Ru had approached him about leaving with her and continuing their training in a more nomadic fashion, Dagos did not hesitate to say yes. The Silver Jedi had welcomed him openly and it was a home of sorts but truthfully speaking, he hadn’t connected with his fellow padawaans or the other masters the way he had with Master Ru, (except for maybe Master Heavenshield) so when she offered him the chance to travel with her, see the galaxy and learn more of the force, he jumped at the chance.

“Morning, Master.”

Just before the door closed behind the small group of trainees, a tiny object moving quickly enough to almost be a blur shot through the door. The creature flew around the room for a moment, looking every which way with a series of clicks, before promptly dropping onto [member="Dagos Terrek"]'s head. When he stopped moving it was easier to define what he was; what appeared to be a very small bat. The Vespert smiled, showing tiny fangs, and waved a wing at [member="Sochi Ru"].

He'd met the orange lady a few days before- told him he had osme kind of... Something or other. Something to do with a force? He didn't really know. But she told him he coudl stay on her ship! Which meant free food, with no chance of being flung out ana irlock as a stowaway! Plus there was this force thing... He could learn a new trick, maybe! Robbi smiled to the various faces, still crouching on Dagos' head. He didn't know any of these people, but he'd know them byt he end of the day! The young Vespert gave another wide smile. "My name's Robbi!"

Moroi Wareyasui

Cocky Little Poohead
Since the split of the Republic and the Silver Jedi, Moroi had been wandering in a sort of limbo, unable to choose between his allegiance to the Republic and his allegiance to his ideals, which were quickly beginning to differ entirely from the morals and standpoints of the Republic. A lot had changed while he sat in that awkward limbo as well. The Republic lost its capital...and a lot of other things he couldn't quite remember at this juncture, but ultimately it was a gift when Sochi Ru found him. He had vaguely heard of her before, as most Masters were generally known, or at least heard of, but he never had any direct dealings with her before recently. So here he was, trying again to resume his training in whatever capacity he was willing to receive.

Moroi was late, unfortunately, being the last one to arrive on the deck of the ship. He wasn't yet sure what to make of the other charges she had amassed either. The first one, [member="Dagos Terrek"] , was rather typical, at least on the surface he wasn't all that much different than any other Padawan Moroi had met. The surface was rarely the relevant part however...which made the rather interesting arrival of the small creature who had blown past Moroi and in to the room, flew around it, then landed around the first Padawan's head and promptly announced that he had a name, as if it was normal for such a creature to fly on to someone's head and introduce themselves. Moroi had never seen a creature like this one before, at least not a sentient one and he was intrigued. At the same time though, he wasn't sure if staring would be taken offensively or not, from either the small creature or from the head it was presently residing on, so he quickly shifted his attention to leaning around the other Jedi present and trying to sneak a glimpse at whatever shapes were floating about on the Holoterminal.

"Sorry, I'm late..."

[member="Sochi Ru"] [member="Robbi"]

From feeling the presence of another she turned around slowly, this was not the work of the Force, but just merely the natural feeling one received when another graced their presence. She laid her eyes upon her Padawan, Dagos, and he would be met with a welcoming smile. She still remembers the day she stumbled across him on Haruun Kal. He was shaping up into a fine young man.

"Hello Dagos. I hope your night went we..." her words were cut off by the arrival of her second student it would seem. From the looks of the small blur whipping around the room she had quite an idea as to whom it might be...

She couldn't help but smile, it was just a little humorous to see that he had taken to Dagos' head. Wonderful to seem them interacting as such, as they would be doing plenty of it during the course of their training. She slowly brought up her hand and waved back at her little Robbi, so much potential to come in a small package; the Force works in mysterious ways. It was still early, and not everyone had arrived, but the energy was still great it seems. Shows promise.

She looked around for her third student...she didn't want to hold things up, she was sure he would fall in later. So she placed her hands in front of her, her fingers interlocked. As she began to open her mouth they were joined by the third, and she did nothing but welcome him with a smile, reaching out her hand to signal to him that he should take a spot within the group.

"It is fine. I'm glad your here. Now, were almost to Ansion, and I wanted to brief you all on how things will go during our tenure together." she said clearing her throat before she spoke a second time. Since they were a group, training would be much different than what two of the three were accustomed to. "Most of our lessons will take place together, covering general things. This ship will serve as a basis during our time together, and private lessons will be held here. We will also be traveling quite a bit, I believe that exposing you all to different cultures can provide you with knowledge and experience you won't be able to find anywhere else. I ask that you trust me...I will not steer you wrong. I want the best for each and every one of you."

She smiled at the lot of the once again, bowed her head slowly, and then walked around the terminal, motioning for them to gather around. "Our first stop is Ansion, as soon as we land you all will begin physical conditioning. This is vital for you all to be in the best shape. All my students have, and will develop good agility, speed, and reflexes, that is vital." she said, and as she spoke images of the planet spun around amongst the center of them.

"Ansion is a place of rolling plains, grassy fields, and wide valleys. A perfect place to begin the initial stages of our training. There will be individual development, as long as group work, so get to know each other while you are together. You'll be spending quite some time together." there was slight turbelence, and with than it was assumed everyone knew what was going on.

"It seems we have arrived, were just in time. Everyone meet me outside." she smiled at them, bowed and walked away.

Robbi smiled, and waved back to [member="Sochi Ru"]. This was definitely going to be fun! He hung on to every word, doing his best to commit it all to memory. They get to travel? He always liked seeing new places! Except when he stowed away on ships he usually got thrwon out an airlock before he got anywhere... This time he'd be able to see another planet! Ansion.... rolling plains, grassy fields, sounded pretty! Robbi listened carefully, still perched on [member="Dagos Terrek"]'s head. After the ship landed,Robbi gave another smile, and quickly leaped off the other padawan's head. He was excited to learn, though he didn't know what he was going to learn. Speed, agility? He was fast! As if to prove it, though everyone else was ont ehir way out of the ship, Robbi flew as fast he cfould down the corrdiors. Which was actually pretty fast for something his size. Witin a minute, he'd found his way out the back of the ship, clicking happily as he flew.

It was a good feeling to be back to training, to get back to the basics. He appreciated his master’s style of teaching, one can not have success without a good solid foundation, and that was something Master Ru understood and emphasized.

He followed eagerly behind the ever enthusiastic [member="Robbi"]. What the Padawaan lacked in size, he clearly made up in energy and outlook. Dagos could not tell if the other Padawaan Master Ru had brought along, was following, but he was sure that he would catch up at some point. Dagos was excited not only to train with Master Ru again, but to be around boys his own age. The last training session he’d had had been with a lovely young lady, but as nice as she was, she was still a girl and while Dagos had the utmost respect for the female form and all it was capable of completing, he missed his brother and the friendships that could be built amongst young men working as a team.

Her ship that had brought them there would land in no time, and with the ramp opening slowly there was an immediate breeze of cool air, just the right temperature; something that seemed to accompany planets such as Ansion. This was just first of many planets along the way. She slowly made her way down the ramp, and would have the sunlight break through the clouds and rest upon her skin. She immediately sat her eyes among her students. With a smile, she walked up to initiate conversation.

"Alright, lets not waste time. Were finally here, and now your training will begin. First....Im going to give you your first quiz. It should be fairly easy if your simply took a look when you stepped off the ship. Out these on..." she said holding out her hands and presenting them both with blindfolds.

Once they took them, and put them on she slowly walked in a circle around them, coming to a stop eventually to present them with their instructions.

"I want you both to list me some details that you recall about our environment. Surely when you stepped off this ship you saw a couple of things...tell me about our surroundings." she said calmly, though he accent was a thick exotic.

[member="Dagos Terrek"] | [member="Robbi"]

[member="Sochi Ru"]

The task was simple enough, or it would have been if they had not landed in the middle of a field. How does one give detail to grass? Perhaps that was the point of the quiz. To find detail where there seemed to be none, to understand their surroundings, in new ways. Dagos, took a moment to try and find some words, that would satisfy the question. It was not going well.

“There, is grass. And uh, there was also more grass.” he smiled sheepishly, his eyes still hidden behind the blindfold.

“Master? Where in the galaxy did you find a blindfold small enough for [member="Robbi"]?” he joked.

(Sorry for the late reply, I somehow didn't get the notification from Sochi's post. Sorry!)

Robbi happily landed on [member="Dagos Terrek"]'s head again as soon as they left the ship. It was a comfortbale plaace to sit. A Vespert's eyesight wasn't all that good, but Robbi still happily observed his surroundings with a series of clicks before [member="Sochi Ru"] handed him a blindfold. She actually found a blindfold that fit him! Robbi smiled, and quickly wrapped it around his eyes, covering most of his nose in the process. "Now what now what!" The young Vespert was definitely excited, if for nothing else other then to learn something new. However, he quickly quietly when the Togruta began to speak. Tell her about his surroundings? Um... Grass. Robbi giggled quietly when Dagos gave a similer response. "Um..." Even with his ecolocation there wasn't much else to see. But he could hear things. Smell them too! Little rustles in the grass where bugs scuttled around, a nice little snack if you couldn't find any cookies! The dew-smell on the grass that the newly raised sun was only just getting rid of. Lots of things! Oh and grass Lots of grass. "Err... There's lots of grass and some bugs in it! Annnnnddd..." Robbi paused for a moment, like he was listening, before shrgging his tiny wings. "And grass." Robbi smiled. "Probably not even good tasting grass!"

She smirked, "You may take your blind folds off now." she walked up to them, approaching them with a warm and nurtuing aura about her. Her hands were folded in front of her, and she looked upon them both. Then her exotic, and very soft voice spouted from between her lips.

[/b]"One very important thing I want you two to realize is that, attention to the moment gives knowledge...having environmental awareness is crucial...it can make a difference between success and failure. Remember its the little things...now this lesson was simple...but it will play a very big part in your training from this point on."[/b] she said nodding to them both.

She motioned for them to walk with her. And she slowly began her movements towards the tall grass that laid some feet away from them. She reached out with her hand to part her a path.

"The Force is present in most living beings, it surrounds and penetrates them, making all living things connected. Reach out...and feel...try and feel the pulses of those living beings around you. That feeling of wholeness....is the Living Force." she said continuing to walk.

She then came to a small stream that had sand on both sides of it. "Sit....all the enery from the Living Force, from all things that kive and have ever lived, feeds into the Cosmic Force as a whole, and thus binds us...binds everything. Close your eyes and meditate...reach out." she said in a soothing tone of voice.

Their master came and took their blindfolds off, giving them a verbal lesson about the importance of knowing your surroundings. Dagos, listened and took her words to heart. As confused and unsure of himself as he had been lately, there was something about Master Ru and her accented voice, that brought him comfort and confidence.

Maybe it was because she had found him at the lowest he had been, having never met him and still trusted him enough to take him to be apart of her order, a part of her life. It showed a faith in him, that he did not have in himself. It made him want to live up to that faith.

He followed after her, through the tall grass, Robbi still on his head as far as he could tell. As they walked Master Ru’s heavily accented voice spoke of the living force. Of how it resided and permeated every being, sentient or otherwise. She instructed them to reach out and search for the feeling of connectivity that she spoke of. Dagos found it to be quite easy, it was no different than how he used his connection when he lived on Haruun Kal.

They walked for just a minute or two before coming to a stream. Master Ru instructed them to sit, and reach out, with much more concentration and focus. Dagos did as instructed, he went to his knees and closed his eyes. This was not his first lesson, so he knew what to do next, he cleared his mind, a feat he would of thought impossible just weeks ago. Maybe it came to him easier due to their setting, being away from Voss and the order and the pressure he felt there. Perhaps it was due to Master Ru being there, he aura was soothing and her patience was beyond helpful.

As he focused, he started small, in the past he had tried to reach out too far, too fast, which often caused him to fail in such tasks as this. He reached out, first just listening to the sound of the water as it flowed over the small stones at the bottom, he let the sound of the brook take him deeper, until he could practically feel the sharp coolness of the water around him. He took a sharp intake of breath as he plunged deeper mentally, his mind flowed as the stream did, but with little effort he did more, he could feel, practically see the fish that rode the current. They were of vibrant colors, silver with hints of blues and greens, their minds were of singular purpose, instinct drove them now. Their concern was only of mating, of finding their way to a place that their ancestors had gone to for generations longer than any of the Jedi here had been alive.

He reached out further with his mind, back to the tall grass behind them. He felt things he never saw as they walked through, bugs, rodents and birds, all breathing, eating, playing, living. It brought a smile to his face as he focused on a group of three young rabbit like creatures, who were chasing each other through the tall grass, relishing in their relative safety.

He could feel Master Ru and her, confidence, her strength and her pride. He could see her in his minds eye, she was beauty and danger in equal mesure. A bastion of power, quelled by indomitable will and immeasurable kindness.

Robbi quickly undid the tiny strip of cloth from his eyes, blinking several times at the sudden reapperaance of light. He stayed on [member="Dagos Terrek"]'s head as they walked, listening to [member="Sochi Ru"]'s every word with his head tilted curiously. The force? Robbi turned his head this way and that, still giving a chirp or a click every few seconds. If it was everywhere... shouldn't they be able to see it? Or hear it? Where was it? Robbi frowned and looked back at Sochi, nearly falling off the other student's head as he sat. Meditate? The young Vespert looked to the teacher, and then to Dagos, as they both suddenly got quiet and closed their eyes. "Errr..." Robbi slowly climbed forwards on Dagos' head, looking down at him. What was he doing exactly? "Close your eyes and reach out" Was it supposed to look like was he was doing? Robbi shrugged. Well it was worht a try! Robbi went back to the middle of Dago's hea,d and closed his eyes. He didn't feel a force! Robbi opened them, and glanced at Sochi. Maybe he had to do it for longer? THe vespert closed his eyes again, this time for almost two seconds. He still didn't feel anything! "Um... I don't think it's working!"

She could only muster a smirk for her dear [member="Robbi"] . He was always....in a rush it seems. She slowly inhaled, and then spoke to her apprentice in a soothing tone.

"Dear...even when your sitting still your mind....your spirit seems to still be in a rush. Slow your kind....your heart....reach out with your conscience....allow yourself to expand to the great Force around you. I know you can do it dear." she chuckled and then manuvered herself in front of them.

It wasn't until Knighthood did Ru realized that the Living Force was a philosophy she was living by since her days as a Padawan. She had always been connected to the land...traditions from her kin...but she never realized the extent of such traditions until she began studying to be a Jedi.

"When your connected the the World around you....you wouldn't even realize the depth of which your abilities will grow. I want you both to learn to "see"... To "feel"...theres soo much more to the things around you. Stand....dust yourself off." She said softly, motioning with her hands.

"We stopped here for a reason....because of the sand that lies beneath your feet. This will serve as a stepping stone into telekinetic training...skills you will need for the next phase. Little do you know...by just meditating...and tapping into the Force that surrounds you...you have just activated the Force within you...enhancing your natural aptitude for it. Now, reach out and try to levitate the sand around you. Its rather light, and good exercise to help hone your future skills. Play around a bit."

[member="Robbi"] [member="Dagos Terrek"]

Robbi blinked at [member="Sochi Ru"]. In a rush? But he waited two seconds, at least! How long would he have to wait? Robbi frowned, but closed his eyes again, still listening to Sochi as she spoke. Hesitantly, he stopped his clicking for a moment. He didn't much like doing that- but maybe it would help whatever she was trying to get him to do? How was he supposed ot feel the world around him... He was on [member="Dagos Terrek"]'s head! Robbi did try, trying to feel some kind of 'force', trying to see if he heard something that he didn't realize. But, unbeknownst to him, that was the problem; he was trying too hard. Robbi opened his eyes again as she told them to stand. He quickly did, still on the other student's head. Levitate the sand...? How was he supposed to do that! Robbi frowned, but didn't say anything. Maybe Dagos would do it, and he could copy him!

Xavzen meditated in a seiza position within his meditation room on board his personal Corvette, The Eternal Saviour, as it drifted down through atmosphere of Ansion and towards his future Master. He looked down at his new robes and lightsabers new added to his few possessions before he left Essilon.

He suddenly burst to his feet in a sudden rush of energy, no longer being able to control the fierce emotions rolling around inside of him: fear, excitement, anxiety and anticipation. While Xavzen followed the Je'daii way and learnt from and embraced his emotions (something that had caused him trouble in finding a Master quickly, well that and his constant disrespect to authority - he hoped that Master Sochi wouldn't over react to that, he couldn't stop is most of the time) this time he was holding them back to prevent himself from being over whelmed and risk unbalancing Bogan and Ashla, but even his considerable willpower had it's limits.

"Relax my disciple," a strong, baritone voice floated across the room, "everything will be fine. Remember, 'There is no fear, only power". Fear bows to power not power to fear, overcome these turbulences and allow the Force to grant you this strength. All will be fine." Xavzen took a deep breathe and followed the voice's advice. Turning to the translucent image of a human hovering above a glowing cube, Xavzen bowed low, "Of course Master Ketu, you are right. Thank -," Xavzen halted speaking when a slight shudder vibrated through out the ship, "We're here." He eventually said, turning and striding out of the room towards the lowering ramp, his long black robes billowing behind him.

He faintly heard his Je'daii Master and mental saviour utter a quick murmur of "May the Force protect." before the ramp closed behind him, sealing him of from his ship.

Looking around with first his eyes all he could see was grassland in all direction with the landscape only stopping with the mountains in the distance. Then delving into the Force for a deeper look he felt the gentle hum of the Living Force, the scurrying of the bugs in the grass, the sway of the wind, the bubbling of a river near by, containing the determined fish with only the goal of mating in the same place generations before them had and the gliding avians above him, each one looking for their next meal. Over by the river where Xavzen felt the natural flow of the local nature being interrupted he sensed a group of Force Presences. With the Force guiding him Xavzen started to walk towards them, towards his new master and towards the new chapter in the story of his life.

This was a lesson Dagos had been taught before. Once he was timid and unsure of his power and struggled to lift even the barest amount of sand. No longer was this the case, he now with ease, drew up a column of sand, taller and wider than he was, manipulating it, almost as if he was bored.

He wasn’t, well not truly. This lesson was one he knew and not as exciting as some of the others, his mind began to wander just a bit. He could feel Robbi’s apprehension. The young Jedi, from Haruun Kal reached out mentally and tried to give his tiny friend an encouraging nudge in the right direction.

She had never been so antsy when teaching a student, but her little Robbi was a sight to see. She always wondered what he was gonna do next. He however was different from the students she had previously, they kind of...just knew what they needed to do, but she wouod never fault him for such. This was all apart of the learning process, she observed them...trying to see how best each if them learned individually. If demonstrations were needed, then such would happen.

Dagos on the other hand knew the lessons already, and this was done on purpose. She was also testing Dagos on his leadership skills. Robbi hadn't any prior experience, so with them working together the point would be to assist and learn from each other just as much as they could learn from Ru.

She would give it a but more time to see what the two would do, and then she would decided the next course of action. Their communication with one another, and their proficiency with this lesson was vital to the next exercise to come.

Robbi nearly fell off [member="Dagos Terrek"]'s head as a huge collum of sand burst out of the ground. "Woah!" Robbi quickly scrambled back onto all fours, and stared in amazement at the giant pillar of sand? Why couldn't he do that? Maybe he could? [member="Sochi Ru"] had told him to try... Maybe he had to try a little harder? Robbi stared at the flying snad for another moment, before quickly shutitng his eyes. He had to focus! Right? Maybe not. He tried to picture the sand flying into the air, like Dagos had done. ... After about two seconds, the Vespert opened his eyes. ... Nothing happened. Robbi frowned again, closing his eyes a second time. Why couldn't he do it? Dgaos did it right away! He should be able to too! Robbi did his best to put his full concentration on liftin the sand.. making it move... making it fly into the air... Grains of sand shifted ever so slightly on the ground, only noticable if you were watching for movement. Robbi opened his eyes again, staring forwards as if expecting a second pillar to join Dagos'. A frown spread on his face when there was no impressive display to greet him. "Why isin't it working...?"
