The Light of the New Republic Rises in the Core.

Building upon the foundation of those that came before it, and those heroes that gave their life as well as the bedrock to build from, the New Republic has returned to the Galactic stage once more as a small but rising nation. Surrounded by independent systems such as Alderaan, Corellia or larger nations such as the Mandalorians, Silver Jedi, and quickly approaching First Order.

With the traitorous betrayal of the Galactic Alliance to the combined forces of the Sith Empire and the First Order, as well as the dissolution of the Commenor Systems Alliance, the Republic has found itself returning to the Core at the request of these worlds in a scramble to find security and for some guaranteed independence. The Republic in this capacity has been quick to ensure that independence to a few planetary governments, and allow others such as Carida and Arkania a place in the Senate, making up the founders of this New Republic.

This New Government is not without its worries though, many suspecting that it might fall into the same steps as its predecessors, committing acts of terror or conquering worlds and expanding its military presence as an empire of its own. The Republic Senate fervently stands against such allegations though, determined to show itself as a force for Freedom and to protect those worlds that seek it out, never forcing worlds to join it’s senate and fall under its laws without their people’s interest in joining the Republic. Though many people live in the fear of another Attack of the Dark Alliance, that joining requires military assistance or intervention of government officials. The Senate act as the Federal Law of the Governed Worlds, thought the planets have all the freedoms excluding recruiting a professional army. The Republic is dedicated to protecting those that join its ranks.

The proud men and women of the Republic Military upholds those ideals, ushering in a push to dismiss the days of Clone Armies, deemed a form of Slavery, and Jedi Generals. The ancient religion being given no power and instead, treated as a Civilian Religious Order, one that allows its members to live their own lives in the Republic, should they find the Jedi to not be their sole devotion and focus. The Republic Military however, does recruit from the Orders population, though treated as a normal Soldier within the Military. Should a Jedi be within the upper ranks of the Military, it is because they served a life in the Military and did the same duty as those of equal rank. Freedom of choice and deciding their own path is a deep seeded ideal of the Republic, so much so that it can be seen within the Military where all forms of beings can be found. Where all are treated to their own standards and strengths.

And so, the Republic seeks those from all worlds interested in protecting those who would seek to protect all those that they can, defending and supporting the government of the Republic, and seeing its restoration to the galaxy. It matters not if you are a moisture farmer from Tatooine, or a spice miner from Kessel. If you are a warrior from Eshan, or a former Imperial looking to atone for previous actions. The Republic provides the opportunity for people to stand and fight for what is right, to defend those who would stand beside you and against the Chaos that continues to darken the future of the galaxy. OOC Q/A

  1. Who is the Republic looking for as members?

The Republic is interested in any character, and honestly would love to see a good mix of people. With force sensitives taking a civilian role, the Republic encourages both NFUs and FUs to choose whatever works for them, be it in the Naval Forces, the Army, or the Senate. Or perhaps, you just wish to be a Jedi or some other Civilian position, all of it works for us and there is always someone around that would be happy to RP and do threads.

[*]
What about the Republic Jedi, what makes them different?

  1. The Jedi within the Republic hold absolutely no power and are given their choice to be a Jedi while also pursuing their character’s own decisions. The Order itself, while teaching the more Orthodox code and encouraging Jedi to devote themselves to knowledge and training, do not force this upon individuals. It instead teaches its members from that point on how to deal with situations that would conflict with their Jedi training such as if a Jedi joins the Republic Military.

[*]
What is the Republic’s Focus? Does it plan to expand quickly?

  1. The Republic treasures Faction threads and working with others groups, such as the Mandalorians or the Silver Jedi. Dominions, while important and definitely done in the Republic, are not intended to be our focus as it can be hard to fit them into our story. As stated before, the Republic will never use conquering or placing a Military occupation of a planet as a reason for a dominion, with exception to hexes where only uninhabited planets are in the specific hex.

As Always, if you have more specific questions or are more interested, PM me or post in the thread, I am happy to answer any and all questions.
