Here in the Galactic Alliance, we are proud to be the sanctuary and home to several independent Force Organizations within our territories. Since even before its conception, the sectors that eventually came under the jurisdiction of the Galactic Alliance have had a policy of sanctuary and nurturance toward the disparate Force traditions lost in the Dark Age.
That policy had borne greater fruit under the guidance and protection of the Omega Protectorate and now the Galactic Alliance. Ithorian Priests of the Mother Jungle, Tyia adepts of every stripe, Ho'din plant doctors. Keetael, Sene Seekers, Gand Findsmen, Far Seers and so forth. Zeison Sha, Jensaarai, even the Shapers of Kro Var all found Alliance territory a place to practice their faith without fear so long as the rules governing to keep the Alliance safe from Darkside influences were heeded.
Notable large Force Organizations with representation within the Alliance are the following:
Galactic Alliance Defense Force
There are several Force sensitives within the Galactic Alliance Defense Force that do not hold to any particular creed or philosophy. Any force sensitive is welcomed to join the Galactic Alliance Defense Force and practice their skills with an independent Master within the Alliance Forces or allies. This includes:
- Omega Pyre: A Private Military Contractor with neutral independant Force users and NFU's also in their ranks as well as a medley of former soliders and mercenaries.
- Rogue Squadron:: A notable starfighter squadron within the GADF.
- Corellian Jedi Enclave: The Corellian Green Jedi enclave stationed at the little known Sahsahlah Mountains
- GA Merchant Fleet : Smugglers and privateers have made their mark within the merchant fleet by aiding the Galactic Alliance. There are many independent freelancers looking for jobs here who are also Force Sensitive. Learn the trade with a fellow smuggler not only with smuggling, but through the Force as well!
The Jensaarai
The Jensaarai are an old Force sect, dating to the last days of the Galactic Republic, and shrouded in secrecy. Founded by a fallen Jedi attempting to meld Jedi and SIth teachings, the Jensaarai are a strange combination of Jedi and Sith, utilizing the Light Side, but Sith techniques (especially in armor construction) and language. As such, they have been hunted by Jedi and Sith alike, leaving them with preference for stealth and secrecy.
Based on their home-world of Susefvi, the Jensaarai hold the protection of the system to be their highest priority, operating in the shadows unless absolutely necessary, and then using the Force to erase any evidence of their existence- be it memory or technology. The closest thing in the Jedi Order would be the path of the Sentinel, as the Jensaarai emphasize practical non-Force skills as essential to their clandestine survival.
On Chaos, the three main branches are the Defenders, Shield Defenders, and Ring Defenders. The Defenders are the largest in population and they do most of the work protecting, fighting, tracking down fugitives and those who know too much. Ring Defenders are starfighter pilots that protect the system, either working undercover as part of the Suarbi Sector Defense fleet or in their own fighter squadron. Shield Defenders are the assistants and bodyguards of the Saarai-Kar.
The Defenders are further broken down into groups. There are Teachers who instruct apprentices, Wardens who live in a community within the Suarbi and surrounding systems to protect those around them while working incognito, the Minds who specialize in mentalism and stealth to protect the secrets of the Jensaarai or use more discreet methods to protect others, and Vanguards who specialize in combat to use direct methods to neutralize threats. All members are expected to be well rounded in both Force skills and combat skills (Roughly like the Jedi sentinel subclass)
The Circle of Healers
An homage to the
original group created within the Jedi Order of the Republic during the Old Republic Era which later dissolved in 19 BBY. Though the Circle has existed in various forms in the last several hundred years, the latest incarnation of CoH was resurrected by Master Healer Avalore Eden during
the second great Jedi Convocation on Yavin IV.
"As a first order of business to this convocation I would like propose the reforming of the Circle of Healers, consisting of and welcoming to Healers of every Jedi forum across the stars to better coordinate the training of a new generation and the dissemination of new techniques, medications, and aid efforts to all bodies of need. Which factions in attendance would concede to this?"
The Circle of Healers encompasses not just the Jedi doctrines, but those of other Force Sects as well. Barring any Darkside-centric sources, all types of Healers from many backgrounds are welcome and encouraged to join and partake within the Circle. It welcomes members of Knight rank and above as well as their pupils and works closely with facilities, foundations, and corporations that would offer aid to such bodies like the Eve Foundation and its parent company, Vanir Technologies. In creating open partnerships with other like-minded groups, such as the Order of the Sacred Lotus, the Circle seeks to strengthen the bonds and working relationships across the galaxy in order to better serve the people.
Lead by the new Founder and Chief Healer, Master Eden, a headquarters design is presently in the works to be constructed on a yet-to-be-determined location. The Circle maintains a direct presence within the Galactic Alliance by helping to head up their MedCorps with active Master Healers
