The New Jedi Order, Jedi Service Corps, Independant Force Organizations & Member Index

YYJnRz1.png

The New Jedi Order, is the Jedi order of the Galactic Alliance. The NJO is headed by Grand Marshall Omai Rhen, a fifty seven year old Human Jedi master.

Within the Galactic Alliance those within the New Jedi Order serve a multitude of roles including diplomats, peacekeepers, and even generals. Like in many other places, members of the New Jedi Order are respected, admired, and even adored throughout the worlds held by the Galactic Alliance. This affords the members of the New Jedi Order a certain amount of privilege, they are regarded highly and as such are often called on when help is required. They are perhaps more militarized and used to working with the GADF than most Jedi Orders.

Those within the Order follow no strict code, instead they work beneath the purview of Omai Rhen and his Jedi Marshals. The Order itself maintains that all within its fold use the lightside of the force, may not be tainted by the darkside in anyway, and must uphold the laws of the Galactic Alliance. The New Jedi Order follows these simple tenants, instead of tying its members to the complex, strict, and even dubious natures of past Orders.

The New Jedi Order is lead by Grand Marshal Omai Rhen. The Grand Marshal is the supreme authority within the NJO, his word his law and his will is done. Marshall Omai founded the Order to be quick and effective, and thus no Council sits beneath him. He is the one that makes the decisions and places the Order in the right direction to aid the Galactic Alliance. However, the Grand Marshal is not alone in his decision making and is often influenced and counselled by his Jedi Marshall's.

The Jedi Marshal's are chosen from the ranks of the New Jedi Order, most often Masters, though not always. They are deemed the wisest, strongest, and most ambitious of the New Jedi Order and it is they who aid in the running of the Order itself. The Jedi Marshal's are those who lead the Jedi of the NJO in most things, though most often war and battle.

The rest of the Order functions much the same way as everything else. Masters serve to train, go on dangerous missions, diplomatic envoys, and many other tasks. Knights assist Masters with the aforementioned tasks and even conduct certain ones themselves, and Padawans train and aid their mentors and the Order as best as they can. Jedi have access to their own transports and their own armour.

The New Jedi Order is simple above all else, running on a concept of streamlined direction.

Notable Groups found within the New Jedi Order:

  • The Wild Knights: A Jedi Squadron of Starfighter pilots.
  • The Hounds: a small enclave of Jedi dedicated to front line combat and law enforcement.

AgriCorps, MedCorps, EduCorps, ExplorCorps

Name: Jedi Service Corps

Description:

The New Jedi Order may be one of the more militant sects of Jedi currently practicing in the galaxy, no Order can persist for long without building something to fight for. So for those whose interests diverge from or exceeds the boundaries of law enforcement and military advisement, there is the Service Corps. While the bulk of the Corps is comprised of those sensitives who don't make it through their Initiate Trials to be taught by a master, some Jedi campaign for postings in order to follow particular passions. Dedicated to improving quality of life both within and beyond Federation space, through their four divisions the Corps seeks not only to serve the Order and the Force but to build a reputation for the Jedi of the Alliance as not just warrior monks but builders of a better galaxy.

Each division is run by a small council of senior members (NPCs) responsible for administrative and logistical oversight, the heads of which report directly to the Grand Marshal.

Agricultural Corps (AgriCorps)

One of the largest Service Corps divisions, the Agricultural Corps uses the Force to nurture crops, protect endangered wildlife, and generally safeguard planetary environments. The AgriCorps have charged themselves with maintaining healthy biospheres on worlds throughout the Alliance and, where possible, beyond. Drought, blight, disease, and imbalance - all pose a threat to order and serenity and can be mitigated through concentrated application of the Force.

Working closely with the Federal Agricultural Administration, AgriCorps members can be found on major food-processing worlds and planets otherwise rich in life throughout the Alliance. While much of the division's work is practical, there are research avenues such as the specialist Jedi Geologists who study the composition of planetary crusts on unfamiliar worlds. While the Agricultural Corps may seem dull to some, its undeniably fulfilling work, and with their tangible contributions to Alliance food production AgriCorps members are certainly one of the most popular facets of the Order as far as the public concerned.

Medical Corps (MedCorps)

A haven for pacifists and practitioners of the healing arts and struggling to balance the Order's more aggressive edges, the Medical Corps is almost an order within an order. By far the most organized division, MedCorps Infirmaries are some of the most advanced facilities in the galaxy and operate on worlds throughout the Federation. Members of borderline Force sensitivity serve primarily as medical technicians and assistants to Jedi healers, although there are programs for Alliance citizens to receive subsidized advanced medical education in return for a term of service working as doctors for the MedCorps upon completion.

Although maintaining a significant presence on Cardea Medical Center above Sullust, the MedCorps is technically headquartered at the Halls of Healing deep within the Sullust Temple. The council that leads the MedCorps, referred to as the Circle of Healers, splits their time between the two locations, torn between their twin duties to help the people of the Alliance and to be there to safeguard key personnel of the Order should an emergency arise.

Educational Corps (EduCorps)

Composed of scholars, teachers, archivists and historians, the Educational Corps represents one of the finest unsung institutions of higher learning and academia in the Galactic Federation. The not an official university as such, the EduCorps nonetheless maintains several state of the art learning facilities throughout Alliance territory, as well as extensive libraries and archives in each Temple of the Order. Although spookily efficient when it comes to organizing their archives, the Educational Corps can be notoriously byzantine in most other matters, as the division is governed by a council more often appointed based on the quality of their research as opposed to their managerial acumen.

While interested in the general acquisition of knowledge, scholars of the division tend to specialize in matters of the Force, working closely with members of the ExplorCorps to catalog, comprehend, and if necessary contain Force resonant artifacts. Those scholars and historians who focus primarily on studying the teachings and relics of ancient Masters as well as the lineages of Jedi and Sith tribes throughout known history are sometimes known as lore keepers.

Exploration Corps (ExplorCorps)

The final division of the Service Corps is the most far-flung. The Exploration Corps considers the whole galaxy its territory, and its members are rarely found in the Temple on Sullust save for the governing council. Instead, they maintain outposts on the fringes of Alliance space and beyond. Also perhaps the most fractured in purpose, the ExplorCorps is affiliated with the Alliance Survey Corps as well as the Intergalactic Zoological Society and Academy of Jedi Archaeology. From consulting on first contact missions to cataloging species on undeveloped worlds for the AgriCorps to remapping hyperlanes to acquiring artifacts and lost writings for the EduCorps and other reputable academic institutions, the Exploration Corps' mission can be as varied as the type of people the division attracts.

There is a subdivision within the ExplorCoprs, large enough to sometimes be considered an unofficial fifth branch referred to as the Diplomatic Corps or DiploCorps, composed of those Jedi whose realm of expertise leads them to consult regularly with Alliance ambassadors as well as occasionally sit in on provincial or intergalactic negotiations.

Here in the Galactic Alliance, we are proud to be the sanctuary and home to several independent Force Organizations within our territories. Since even before its conception, the sectors that eventually came under the jurisdiction of the Galactic Alliance have had a policy of sanctuary and nurturance toward the disparate Force traditions lost in the Dark Age.

That policy had borne greater fruit under the guidance and protection of the Omega Protectorate and now the Galactic Alliance. Ithorian Priests of the Mother Jungle, Tyia adepts of every stripe, Ho'din plant doctors. Keetael, Sene Seekers, Gand Findsmen, Far Seers and so forth. Zeison Sha, Jensaarai, even the Shapers of Kro Var all found Alliance territory a place to practice their faith without fear so long as the rules governing to keep the Alliance safe from Darkside influences were heeded.

Notable large Force Organizations with representation within the Alliance are the following:

Galactic Alliance Defense Force

There are several Force sensitives within the Galactic Alliance Defense Force that do not hold to any particular creed or philosophy. Any force sensitive is welcomed to join the Galactic Alliance Defense Force and practice their skills with an independent Master within the Alliance Forces or allies. This includes:

  • Omega Pyre: A Private Military Contractor with neutral independant Force users and NFU's also in their ranks as well as a medley of former soliders and mercenaries.
  • Rogue Squadron:: A notable starfighter squadron within the GADF.
  • Corellian Jedi Enclave: The Corellian Green Jedi enclave stationed at the little known Sahsahlah Mountains
  • GA Merchant Fleet : Smugglers and privateers have made their mark within the merchant fleet by aiding the Galactic Alliance. There are many independent freelancers looking for jobs here who are also Force Sensitive. Learn the trade with a fellow smuggler not only with smuggling, but through the Force as well!
The Jensaarai

The Jensaarai are an old Force sect, dating to the last days of the Galactic Republic, and shrouded in secrecy. Founded by a fallen Jedi attempting to meld Jedi and SIth teachings, the Jensaarai are a strange combination of Jedi and Sith, utilizing the Light Side, but Sith techniques (especially in armor construction) and language. As such, they have been hunted by Jedi and Sith alike, leaving them with preference for stealth and secrecy.

Based on their home-world of Susefvi, the Jensaarai hold the protection of the system to be their highest priority, operating in the shadows unless absolutely necessary, and then using the Force to erase any evidence of their existence- be it memory or technology. The closest thing in the Jedi Order would be the path of the Sentinel, as the Jensaarai emphasize practical non-Force skills as essential to their clandestine survival.

On Chaos, the three main branches are the Defenders, Shield Defenders, and Ring Defenders. The Defenders are the largest in population and they do most of the work protecting, fighting, tracking down fugitives and those who know too much. Ring Defenders are starfighter pilots that protect the system, either working undercover as part of the Suarbi Sector Defense fleet or in their own fighter squadron. Shield Defenders are the assistants and bodyguards of the Saarai-Kar.

The Defenders are further broken down into groups. There are Teachers who instruct apprentices, Wardens who live in a community within the Suarbi and surrounding systems to protect those around them while working incognito, the Minds who specialize in mentalism and stealth to protect the secrets of the Jensaarai or use more discreet methods to protect others, and Vanguards who specialize in combat to use direct methods to neutralize threats. All members are expected to be well rounded in both Force skills and combat skills (Roughly like the Jedi sentinel subclass)

The Circle of Healers

An homage to the original group created within the Jedi Order of the Republic during the Old Republic Era which later dissolved in 19 BBY. Though the Circle has existed in various forms in the last several hundred years, the latest incarnation of CoH was resurrected by Master Healer Avalore Eden during the second great Jedi Convocation on Yavin IV.

"As a first order of business to this convocation I would like propose the reforming of the Circle of Healers, consisting of and welcoming to Healers of every Jedi forum across the stars to better coordinate the training of a new generation and the dissemination of new techniques, medications, and aid efforts to all bodies of need. Which factions in attendance would concede to this?"

The Circle of Healers encompasses not just the Jedi doctrines, but those of other Force Sects as well. Barring any Darkside-centric sources, all types of Healers from many backgrounds are welcome and encouraged to join and partake within the Circle. It welcomes members of Knight rank and above as well as their pupils and works closely with facilities, foundations, and corporations that would offer aid to such bodies like the Eve Foundation and its parent company, Vanir Technologies. In creating open partnerships with other like-minded groups, such as the Order of the Sacred Lotus, the Circle seeks to strengthen the bonds and working relationships across the galaxy in order to better serve the people.

Lead by the new Founder and Chief Healer, Master Eden, a headquarters design is presently in the works to be constructed on a yet-to-be-determined location. The Circle maintains a direct presence within the Galactic Alliance by helping to head up their MedCorps with active Master Healers
