Today was a very special day for Kristyl Arenais, one that both her Mom Asaraa Vaashe Asaraa Vaashe , and her "Big Sister" Dreidi Xeraic Dreidi Xeraic had made sure to stress to her the importance of being timely and well mannered when meeting her new Master and their current Apprentice, another girl who Kristyl would be training alongside.

Naturally, she was nervous about this appointment. The Apprenticeship had been organized by whoever was in charge of the Knights Obisidian, alongside her Mom's influence as one of the head tutors of the School of the Lotus, the light side chapter of the Knights Obsidian. Kris came from a family of Jedi, both parents having been Jedi throughout the majority of their lives and so of course Kris felt a lot of pressure in having to live up to their example.

Even Dreidi, while not as powerful as her Mom just yet, was an especially skilled Force User and had survived the recent battle over Rhand, one that the young girl herself had accidentally entered into while trying to spy on Dreidi...-But that was another story, and a grounding she'd just been released from.

So anyway...Walking down the corridor fidgeting nervously to herself, her mind seemingly aloof as she walked on auto-pilot towards the designated room. The girl wore her Robes of the Lotus and coupled to her belt was her Lightsaber, given to her by her Mother Asaraa after which she had proven all too capable of getting into far more trouble than any young adolescent ever should. Better to have it and not need it, right?

At the forefront of her mind, the looming concern that drowned out all other thoughts: Making a good impression and being liked by her new Master and fellow Apprentice. Kris hadn't exactly slept all too well the previous night, concerned with the fear of not being liked, not being good enough and failing to make a good enough impression to the extent of her new Master deciding against going forward with her training. This was after all meant to be the start of her future as a Force User, her real beginning into the journey of an Obsidian Knight. Or was it Knight Obisidian? How did you refer to one of them, the Demonym?

Reaching the entrance, the sight of the large metal doors seemed so much larger than they usually did. Kristyl slowing, faltering in her step as her anxiety almost shot through the roof like one of those contraptions that you hit really hard with a big hammer and shoots the little bar straight up to the bell sitting at the top of the meter. If her head was that bell, her Anxiety would be the high pitched ringing in her ears right about now.

Biting nervously upon the side of her lower lip, Kristyl gingerly reached out for the locking mechanism, activating the doors and feeling the wind brush over her as they swept aside with a mechanical hiss, receding into the walls upon either side and exposing her to the room within.

When the doors opened Kristyl would see a slender woman standing there alone. The doors gave way to a large inner garden a small stream running through its center, one of the places where the Lotus would sometimes come to meditate. Taiia chose this location specifically for its calming atmosphere. The first observation of Taiia would reveal shoulder-length red hair and dressed in her Acanthus robes, she didn't like them, for the most part, she preferred a more casual dress, however for this particular occasion there was a need to look the part. Upon hearing the door open the young woman turned toward Kristyl and offered the girl a warm smile, she was not much taller than Kristyl herself and only about twenty years her senior.

"Kristyl Arenais, I presume." she motioned her to come closer to her, she had asked Lana to give her a few minutes to introduce herself to her new Squire. "No need to be nervous, though I understand the feeling. It is always unnerving meeting new people, especially one entrusted to guide you through the force." she motioned Kristyl to a bench near the stream and walked with her toward it. She took a seat on the bench and made a welcoming gesture to Kristyl to sit.

It was a bit of an unusual relationship, Taiia found her place in the middle of the force between dark and light this young woman brimmed with the light yet for some reason she was paired with Taiia. It wasn't unusual she was once a Jedi herself, just in her own view she had evolved she wondered how that would affect her impression of Taiia. Taiia's presence in the force would be different at best, there was light but also darkness neither seemed to pull at her at any time as if repelled by an unseen force. "Laneya, will be along in a moment I asked her to give us a few minutes alone. I figured that may make things a bit easier."

One thing she did not want to do, was treating a squire like a child, she had always resented that during her own training with the Jedi even if she had been a child a squire is one who was there to learn not to be coddled. As such she would be learning from the word go with Taiia.

"Kristyl Arenais, I presume. No need to be nervous, though I understand the feeling.

The oh-so-very-young Kristyl Arenais nodded quickly, a nervousness present about her movements as she entered on through to where Taiia Locke Taiia Locke had welcomed her encouragingly. For a teacher, the woman appeared to be quite younger-looking than what Kris had expected. She'd envisioned some older sort of grumpy person barking orders at her, but then that was the way of her nerves, envisioning the worst possible outcome before giving things the chance to play out.

Following Taiia's gesture, Kristy's eyes moved to the bench and she gingerly made her wait, accepting the offer to sit so they could presumably go over what she was in for. The idea of training under someone as their apprentice, or "Squire" as her Mom had put it, was so very intimidating. If all went according to the natural plan of things then this older woman was going to be one of the two main people Kris would be spending the next force-knows how many years with.

"Nice to meet you, Miss" Kristy greeted her, trying to coax up the appropriate words for the situation she found herself in; "You can call me Kris if you like" she added with a weary smile, figuring that it might be easier for the Lady.

The mention of a Laneya gave Kristyl the notion that this was the name of her fellow student and squire. It was quite a pretty name, and one she hadn't heard before. Hopefully, this Laneya would have a pretty personality to go alongside the name, or at the very least be open to being friends together. If Kris wasn't able to make a good first impression then things were going to be very awkward.

Looking to Taiia, Kris wondered whether she shouldn't say anything more. "So...-" she fumbled a little for words before blurting out, "You're going to be my teacher now huh?" she grinned nervously, her right hand raising to rub the side of her neck as she anxiously awaited Taiia's reply, uncertain if the woman had really decided to accept her as a student or not.
