Private the New aprentice

Laphisto

High Commander of the Lilaste Order
It had been a while since Laphsito had taken on another apprentice; in fact, it was even rarer that he was requested directly by a student from the academy. so much so that he couldn't help but accept the request. And so he stood in the hanger his arms crossed behind his back, tail swaying side to side as teh shuttle began its approach. landing in the hangar bay. he had read Selvrali Selvrali 's file, and for the most part, they did well in class. it wasnt untill he looked into there history. how they joined the order, that it started to make sense. She was one of the ones he had saved that day. straightening himself upright is only barely he walked towards the rear loading ramp as it began to lower. This should be interesting to say the least.

Had not forgotten any part of that day. Life before it was a blur of the same day with different faces. She even remmebered the mans name- or at least what the men addressed him as; Laphisto. She knew he was only acting on orders- but she still saw him as the hero. Like the ones she grew up hearing about. Despite some struggles at the start- she quickly showned a keen sense and was a fast learner. She had requested him by name. Remembering she never got to thank him that day. Slowly she shuffled down the ships ramp, hands neatly folded infront of her simple white and baize robes. Her deep hood pulled up just a bit. It only took a quick look for her to spot the towering man. Nervous- she crossed the landing dock over to him. Offering a deep bow "M-Master Laphisto!- I... wanted to thank you for accepting my request!" she uttered quickly- as if having repeated that line in her head in preparation.

he let his heterochromatic eyes dart over the woman before him. His head tilted to the side before the force flashed over his eyes. A golden glow filled the once green-blue eyes with crimson red outlines along their edges. peering into her through the force with a curious look. pulling at her chosen alignment to the force. Though once that glow faded, he winced visibly. a hand coming up to rub at the bridge of his nose, before letting out a small chuckle, soon pushing past his lips as she addressed him, holding a taloned hand outwards as if to stop her for a moment. " Commander is fine, Private. its good to have you on Aurora station. You graduated at trying times." Turning around, he motioned for her to follow him, his tail swaying behind him, wings rustling slightly.

"The Lilaste order is about to leave Diarchal space. After the disappearance of the Diarchs, civil war has begun, and while we tried to keep order. we just don't have the manpower." With a small shake of his head, he glanced over towards her. looking at her attire with a raised brow. before shaking his head. "You know not many students have the gall to request the High Commander by name. You're already making quite a name for yourself Selvrali Selvrali . quite impressive"

Her aura was fairly dense for a simple trainee, a wounded heart tempered with kindness. Rali froze ridded slightly as he corrected her, she even told herself not to use such an old title. "Right... Sorry- Commander, Thank you." she corrected herself softly as she quickly followed- having to step a bit faster to keep up with his longer strides, mindful not to trip over his tail! Listening to his explanation of the situation- while taking a few glances about the landing hanger as the two walked. Already there was a noticeable difference in the faces around her. Not young- hopeful trainees, but hardened soldiers. Battle scared ships. It was somewhat daughting to the rather gentle Twi'lek.

As he mentioned her request specifically for him- she felt silly. She really had no other reason in doing so- other then a feeling she though was her just needing to thank him. Unknowing of the forces guidance. After a quiet moment she finally spoke up. "
Thank you, Commander. I- Never got to thank you, that day on the Slaver ship.- " Even saying it out loud she felt silly. Nervously fidgeting with the long sleeves of her robes.

A smile crept across his lips at her words. turning to look at her while they walked down the station's halls. " You need not thank me. That is what the order does. We protect the helpless. and uplift the weak." gave her a small, subtle nod, and in his own way, half felt bad that he didn't quite remember seeing her. There were so many faces that day that one would think he would have spotted someone as bright as her, both personality-wise and in color. stepping to the side, he pressed himself against a wall as two engineers went running past them. holding a hand out in front of the girl in a protective manner, like one would if they slammed on the breaks to hard to protect the passenger.

"come let sget you settled in. I've prepared a room in the barracks for you to stay in." Once the engineers had passed, he began walking again. Though noticeably slower to better help the girl keep up, he led her straight to her new room. pushing a button on the door for her. It was, for the most part, fairly simple, yet had plenty of room for decorations and momentos. " Take the day and get acquainted with your room and the station. we start your training first thing tomorrow."

Selvrali Selvrali

Offered a weak giggle, she had a reputation of being a bit to formal- so this would not be the last time he told her not to thank him. Her shoulders relaxing a bit as she though the introduction went decent. Though entirely distracted by Laphisto Laphisto , she would have ben ran right over had he not stuck his arm around and pulled her back. Offering a cute " Eep! " followed by a sheepish smile back up to him. She was going to have to remember she was not back in training any more.

The room came as a surprise to her, having spent her training in a shared student barracks. Before then, a place of her own was the last thing she was thinking about. She set the small pack of her things down on the empty desk. Finally pushing her hood back fully- exposing her slender, patterned lekku. Anxiously holding one close to her chest as she walked the room for a moment. Stopping in the middle and facing the Commander. At a lose for words- she simply offered a deep bow. Finally offering a soft "See you in the morning, Si- Commander." before the door closed fully.

He stood at the door way as the girl examined her new room, his arms once again pushed behind his back. Only when she turned to face him and bowed her thanks did he unfold his hands. Bringing a closed fist to his chest, he dipped forward in a small bow, one of the more common greetings within the order's military ranks. " till then, Private Selvrali." As the door closed in front of him, he turned to leave down the hallway to his office. The last order was to pack up and leave in about a week's time, which meant cadets and trainees were being pulled out of the academies and training grounds early. The impact of such actions hadn't quite hit him until today.

Cadets and new Privates were not being issued uniforms nor weapons like they should have been. it was something logistics would have to deal with after they arrived to there destination. Right now what mattered most was getting his people in the fleet and ensuring those who wanted to come with the order were transported safely. he had already had to deal with several governors turn coating and declaring themselves the next leaders of the Diarchy. it wouldn't be long till the entire region was a mess.

Selvrali Selvrali

Alone, Selvrali gave another look around the room. It was quiet- peaceful. Finding time alone was nearly impossible back in the academy, so this even felt strange to the Twi'lek. She stopped herself from pacing the room by setting out her robes and neatly folding them away. She carried no personal affects- leaving the room terribly empty. She had not had anything of her own for quite some time. With what little she did have already put away, she sat at the foot of her new bed.

She softly traced her fingers over the soft material, lost in the distant hum of the engine. Still sitting, she took a long breath. When she was a captive still- she had made friends with a Mirialan woman. Older then even her older sister- the woman was the only kind face she knew. She had taught Selvrali to meditate when she felt like this. She first though of nothing- like she was told. The engine hum helped with that. Sitting that that for a time, she found it easy to keep a clear mind; to sit with herself alone and listen. She could hear voices- not voices, but conversations. Outside her door at first- then further down the hall. It got to a point where she started to get anxious because of all the conversations she could hear- unable to focus on just one. Finally snapping herself out of the meditation, her grip on the soft material below was tight. Once more- she sat at the foot of her bed, in the quiet of her room. Eventually crawling back and forcing herself to sleep.

Laphistop had picked the girl up first thing in the morning. and immediately set about equipping her properly. He had brought a proper uniform with him. grnated it would only be used for times of ceremony. It was still important that she had one. One of the most notable things Selvrali Selvrali might have noticed as he walked her through the station's halls and towards the armory was. Everyone in some way or another had their armor on. mechanics engineering crerws. all armed and wearing their own variations of combat armor. That was the thing about a military-based society. When it came down to it, there was no civilian class; if anything, the order was close to being somewhat Mandalorian. though minus the clans and more militarized.

Once at the armory, Laphisto crossed his arms over his chest, looking the girl over with a small smile." now its time for you to get into proper gear. go on in and get fitted for your Armor. next we will get you your rifle and sidearm. " He thought for a moment before frowning. he didnt remember seeing her with a saber or not. "Did you complete your saber course? or were you not issued one yet?"

Selvrali woke early- as she usually did. Clutching the covers to her chest in a light panic that lasted only a second. Feeling the soft material reminded her that she was not back in the transport ship. She sat up on the edge of her bed, looking around first- as if expecting someone in the room. Dressing in a simple fitting shirt and loose pants. Deciding to loosely tie her lekku back with a length of leather cord. Distracted for a time in the mirror hung above the desk. Her attention only broke by familiarly heavy footsteps approached her door. Practically bolting to the door and opening it even before Laphisto Laphisto could reach it. "Commander! G-Good morning..." she offered as she stepped out of her room.

As the two walked- and with the landing jitters mostly gone; she actually took in the ship. She quickly noticed how she stood out. In that she was the only Twi'lek- or even only woman. She was the only one dressed casually. Because of her circumstance of joining the Order, and the current issue of rushed training; Rali lacked the most basics. Presented with her new 'outfit' she hesitated. First brushing a hand across the breastplate, then lifting a gauntlet. Seeing no sense in complaining- she did request the Commander after all. After a bit longer then one would hope it would take a soldier to get ready, she stepped out rather ridged. "I..." she hesitated, half worried about the response she would get. "Was never given a real... Saber." Once more feeling rather silly for requesting Commander Laphisto by name.

frowned at her admission, though gave a chuckle at the way she seemed... unused to wearing armor. He had a feeling this would be the norm for this batch of recruits. especially considering the circumstances, and the thought of seeing Sergeant Dornahan losing his lid was humorous enough to cause him to chuckle audibly before shaking his head, " That thats alright, you will get used to the armor." he leaned in, racking his knuckle against her brestplate letting the metal vibrate," made of Kov'dra. our sacred metal. If you know anything about the Mandalorians, then consider this our Beskar."

When she mentioned she had no saber, he smiled at that. No saber? That meant he could take her to the forge and teach his favorite subject. blacksmithing. gesturing to a wall laphisto looked at her smaller frame, his hand hovering over the LO-20D in its standard rifle configuration. before grabbing something.. smaller. It was the same weapon most of the soldiers were using, yes. But it was configured as an SMG hambered in .45 " if you don't have a saber, then we need to head to the foundry next so you can make it." As he spoke, he racked teh slide of the weapon before handing it to her, his other hand grabbing a smaller LO-12S for her sidearm. doing the same thing he did with the rifle, ensuring she knew it was safe to handle

Selvrali Selvrali .

She offered a slight giggle as his knuckled clanked off her new armor. Getting a closer look at the LO emblems on his shoulder- then looking to her own for it. Thinking for a moment, before being shown the wall rack of weapons. She had trained with them all- not that she enjoyed it. But she guessed it was better then what could have been- had Laphisto Laphisto and his squad came across that slave ship. A slight smile showed she was somewhat happy he gave her the smaller smg version of the primary gun. She remmebered the full size hurting her shoulder. Mag-holstering it, and the 12S as she was handed them.

Finally thinking to ask a question she had not really gotten an answer to yet. "Commander- The Lilaste Order. Its a military power... But also a civilian body?" One of the last things she though she would be during her time a slave was a soldiers. He could sense a fair deal of doubt in herself still. Training drills and target practice was one thing.
