- Links: N/A
- Holocron Name: The Miserable Wretch
- Alignment: Dark Side
- Origin: Zhuvea Opatcosh
- Affiliation: Carisma Rostu
- Gatekeeper: The gatekeeper of the holocron is an image of an individual, short in stature, clad in dark robes and a black mask, hiding any exposure of flesh. The voice, when it speaks, is in speech synthesis form with the built-in speech synthesizer disguising the gender of the voice, which speaks cryptically. The personality of this individual is indeterminable, as it speaks only in absolutes, but the image is lacking fluidity; seemingly leading to one to believe the image is artificial in nature, and not a real image of any one particular person.
- Description: The holocron serves as a learning tool, a Beginner's Guide to those seeking knowledge on the contents contained within the red-cubed device.
- Accessibility: All around the holocron are etched hieroglyphic symbols, each symbol intricately crafted and holding a specific purpose, serving as a puzzle box. In order to open the holocron, one must solve the puzzle by deciphering which symbols are used, and which are purely decorative. From those utilized symbols, a pattern must be discovered as each symbol represents a specific letter that once all the letters are exposed, will provide a single word that must be spoken aloud. The trick, however, is knowing which language is being used, which again can be discovered in the symbols, if one has mastery of symbology.
- Security: The holocron, outside its built-in puzzle system, holds no real security system.
CONTENT INFORMATION
The topics, chronologically ordered as shown in the formatted outline below, is the compiled list from Zhuvea Opatcosh pertaining to a few important subjects she took a deep interest in, subject matter to quell her thirst for knowledge and wisdom. Each subject discussed can be used as a learning guide, a Beginners Guide for those whose own curiosities have already been touched or overly eager to learn history.
- Sith Alchemy
- Sith Magic
- Languages and Their Origins
- Sith Language and Symbols
- The Ruusan Ghost Crystal
The third and fourth topics are immersed in languages, origins, and the history of how some of the languages came to be or evolved from through the years along with the explaining and meaning of symbols related to both the Sith species and Orders. Here, she teaches the ancient tongue of the Sith, a language she believed romantic in nature.
The fifth installment and holding the most controversial and debatable of one of the most secretive secrets among those that knew or assumed they knew, was the existence and location of the Ruusan Ghost Crystals. Here, Zhuvea Opatcosh eludes on several occasions during the mentioning of the crystal's lore and the separation of fact from fiction surrounding the many theories that manifested over the years that she does indeed know the location personally, and quite possibly the last survivor of this holy grail knowledge.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Zhuvea Opatcosh's holocron, dubbed The Miserable Wretch in reference to an old acquaintance, was created by her toward the end of her life, where she wanted to leave behind some sort of legacy since she never once took on a student or an Apprentice. The artifact was designed with the sole purpose of aiding young inquisitive minds who sought the knowledge of Sith Alchemy, Sith Magic, and the language and symbols associated with the Sith species. An added bonus was the cryptic mentions surrounding the location and mystery of the Ruusan Ghost Crystal.
Upon her death, the holocron was lost, believed destroyed or simply hidden away by those that conspired against her. In truth, the exact location of the holocron was only known to Zhuvea, a secret she kept with her the grave and the bound imprisonment of her Force Ghost to a decrepit skull. It wasn't until the skull was found by Carisma Rostu, and a bond formed between the living and a ghost, that she guided the young Sith to the location of her hidden holocron. After aiding the girl in breaking through the puzzle, did Carisma understand there was a far grander picture than simply being a basic Sith.
It was through this holocron that Carisma, after travelling to the planet Ruusan, found the cavern that housed the Ruusan Ghost Crystals, and from there obtained one for herself.
