Location: Central Centax Memorial, Coruscant | Image Source

Affiliation: One Sith, specifically their 5th Army: 769th, 770th, 771st, 772nd and Corps. With the 6th Armies 773rd Corps, occasionally supervising.

Population Estimate: Military: Including Civilian Militia 25,000 | Civilian: 60,000 | Total: 85,000 Across all Levels and related cityscape.

Usual Troops Found here:
  • 769th Coruscants Own Stormtrooper Corps, 2nd Division, have roughly 8,000 stormtroopers based here, half of the corps.
  • 770th Loyal Sons and Daughters usually have their 4th Battlegroup here. 4,000 stormtroopers and mixed heavy infantry or armor.
  • 771st Faceless First, have a regiment of some 2,000 personnel here operating the facility, sending data where it needs to go and scouting ahead.
  • Elements of the 772nd Durasteel Dogs and 773rd can usually be found here in smaller numbers. Company sized numbers (128) from the 773rd, or squadrons of armor from the 772nd inside the facilities walls or patrolling its surrounding areas.
  • Elements of the Sithwatch Militia are directly nearby, some 5,000 or so in civilian clothes.
Defenses: This is a high military OS command and control facility on their capital world, and one of the main nerve centers of 5th Army Operations. Its defenses are extensive, and it is one of the most secure locations on the planet. Most of the operational aspects of the facility are underground, while troops, walls, turrets, militia and civilians exist above.

Weapons:
External, across many levels.
Internal, inside the bunker levels.

Defenses:
  • Main Shields: 20 x OS-FPHS Across Several Levels.
  • Hidden Bunkers and Ambush Points, Razor Wire, GNN Broadcasting Points, Arms Caches (Above and Below)
  • Trenches, Hidden Foxhole Positions, Basic Detonite Anti vehicle and Anti Infantry mines (Below)
  • Smaller Backup Deflector Field Generators: Internally protecting the C&C, armory, barracks, generators, bunker and main doors.
  • 1x Durasteel, Tank Height Outer Wall
  • 1x Duravlex, Walker Sized Inner Wall and Gates, Heavily Braced.
  • Turadium Blast Door Shield to Completely Close the facility in in case of collapse from above, from the inner wall, while this is well braced for a collapse, it is not all that thick, and won't stop fire directed at its surface for long.
  • 4 Shuttle and Starfighter Hangers. 1x Wing (6 x Squadrons) and 30 Shuttles Present. Taken from the standard Sith Fighter Squadrons.

Points of Interest:
Underground Bunker Complex with most of the operational staff and facilities.
At the very center: The Memorial Wall for the 769th Dead.
Large Central Generator Below Ground. 3x Backup Generators. 2 Underground, 1 Above

Club Starlight, a popular major nightclub and tourist attraction above.

Description:
Above ground the facility is large, Grey, Black and Imposing, shaped as the fortress it truly is, it might make bastion take note! This is exclusively a One Sith Command and Control Facility in the heartlands of their empire. It is large, heavily fortified, bristling with weapons inside and out, garrisoned well, and like most structures on Coruscant has several levels to it, some connected, some not.

Above the Facility
With Commercial, Business, and Entertainment Zones, above it, there are many thousands of regular civilians going about their daily lives, elite of the military OS command making home among them in luxury, while below much of the surrounding space below was cleared when the Galactic Alliance destroyed central centax. The rest of the rubble was since removed or bulldozed to leave a wide 5km firing zone around the ground of facility. Above this is not the case, with 1km at most of room to shoot, making any attack on the facility from above perhaps advised. What is above, are nestled turrets, and missile launchers, with their own shield generators, often hidden in the structures themselves. That is the real danger here for anyone approaching, the angles you can be shot from in such an urbanized area, as well as any militia present that will be in civilian clothes to surprise you with either homemade devices, weapons or their cheap carbines. Fallback points such as low walls or designated rooms have been established, laid out to make street fighting a long laborious process, and give the weak militia plenty of opportunity to retreat to a better position to regroup.

The Sithwatch militia
Making full use of the sithwatch militia and the recently deployed militia carbines on mass, the local GNN network has once again been tapped to rally the people against any invading oppressors! Things like playing the propaganda of the GA destroying centax and the bloody aftermath that followed, burials and ceremonies, but also the republic clones stamping down upon their family name and executing the GNN reporter at Balmorra. Any battle where members of the 769th local heroes have died, such as Dulvoyinn is used to rally support from the masses with often embellished truth, sonic speakers carrying the message far and wide. It is very true the OS are the OS, but here most of all that support from the population is there, often somewhat fanatically so given their history.

The barbarians at the gates theme is often stirring up local pride at Centax whenever the facility is likely to be targeted, word is passed, and civilians feel anger, their chance for revenge. Local celebrities brought in, paid or hired goons of the One Sith, businessmen and other local figures that can be bought or are fanatical themselves. What do you have, you have the militia and quite possibly some civilians defending their homes if pressed! There are many harden structures usually single rooms above, or clever positions dotted around that contain arms caches of these cheap carbine rifles, with firing holes, for the militia and civilians to fire on anyone invading their homeland. Usually locked, militia commanders unlock them when the time comes via signal commands.

On the Ground Levels

Two layers of walls at differing heights exist outside, each mounted with turrets, sonic dampeners to drown out the potential of explosions threatening to disturb the troops concentration. While outside there are perimeter scouts from the 771st scout infantry, as well as militia and sensors to report any trouble, you'll find walkers and tanks on patrol at regular intervals the closer you come. Patrol routes designed to maximize the cover of the facility and the potential kill zones for their opponents to walk into.

For the 770th, smaller harden bunkers made out of durasteel are below at the perimeter, rigged with common detonite explosives under their floor if they are hit too hard or overrun. Manned by clones who will selflessly give up their lives if the order is given, likely to charge their opponent as they do so! Stray fire is quite likely to set these off if they are pounded hard enough, but it denies anyone taking the bunker themselves for cover in many cases. Basic Detonite AV and AI mines are spaced around the distant 5km ground perimeter, nothing special just frag, but leaving additional hazards. Razor wire and a multi tier trench system all the way through to the front gates has been laid, with soft bunker arms caches, food and medical supplies underground readying troops for an extended fight. This trench system is covered of course by the cityscape above from orbital bombardment, Sith Commnader thinking.

Underground Bunker and defenses from above.
As any forward thinking sith or other commander driven to ruthless extremes may consider, simply dropping all that civilian infrastructure may seem the most expedient way of ending our facility below it! Though the civilian lives lost would be devastating once more, and local anger boil over, it would silence many of the guns. In an effort to combat this there are three things in play. The first is the bulk of the operational part of the facility is underground, the second is there are several shield generators to cushion falling impacts, and the third is a large Turadium Blast Door Shield to be placed over the facility if all else fails, but this will merely bury it. Steps have been taken to make sure their signal is strong enough to get through the rubble to their troops if it happens, planning well ahead for this eventuality. The blast doors use man sized bolts to lock support beams in place when erected, as well as extendable beams across the domed circumference and along the middle, this circular shield means that rubble will often slide down the sides to spread the weight.

In an effort to keep the command and control elements of the sith intact due to a collapse, the vast majority of the facility is underground, as deep as 2000 meters inside at the lowest point for the C&C room, with most of it being between 500 and 1000 meters. Having supplies for three months stored for those inside, three central elevator shafts lead downward, along with two staircases, and these are by far the most heavily defended choke points internally. Inside the bunker there are many tight corridors, security check points, scanners, and at least four layers or grades of security with higher level keycards needed for each, it isn't simply one elevator or flight of stairs down and that's it! Getting in an out the proper way takes time, even for a sith lord, as everyone is well checked before they can enter the Command and Control heart of the facility.

Memorial Wall
Perhaps the most significant part of the facility to those above, in its center, is the memorial wall, which you can see from the C&C room directly. A large black and golden holoslab of all the 769th's dead. Those present can scroll along the many thousand names, faces and the conflicts they have been apart of. It too is heavily shielded, with room for ceremonial purposes to add more names as they come. The 769th are not clones, they are taken from the surrounding population, the only corps from the 5th army to do so. As such the 769th prize this memorial as sacred above all else, and will lay down every single life to protect its memory. There is still a slab above in memory of those that died, but with the facility largely a bunker now, most of the memorial and ceremony taking place occurs below.

History:
Central Centax was originally a bustling metropolis of some density, like the rest of the planet, it had beautiful views of the Coruscant moons it was named after. Above you had the elite of the Sith Navy, and below them the many workers, average joes who keep a city alive, going about their day to day lives. One tragic day, it became the site of the Galactic Alliances's orbital fire, when one of their number fell unconscious at the controls, during their skirmish on Coruscant. This tragedy created the true fighting spirit of the 769th, being one of the few regular corps now to exclusively use non clones, not just for their officers or specialised roles. The individualists as they are known, are fanatic in their defense of their homes and loved ones, in this historic place most especially of all.

Later during wargames and the formal founding of the 5th Army the facility was improved, fitted with the latest tech. While the 5th army itself was developed, and its command structure put into place, Centax became one of their main nerve centers of operation, seizing the benefit such a symbol brought to the 769th stationed there and its location deep in the heart of a an urbanized cityscape, who themselves are likely to give their lives to protect it.

Intent: Coruscant Command and Control, and for the upcoming invasion by the galactic alliance.

Good application so far, there's just a few things:

  • Due to massive size, and amount of defenses and features this building has, I'm going to require a 20 post development thread. There is other options if you do not wish to write twenty as well if the amount of defenses/weapons and such are cut down, the dev will be cut down as well.

Population: Varies depending on needs elsewhere.
  • I understand numbers will fluctuate with your location but I need you to give me an estimated amount of people that will be here.

Done and Done.
Dev thread listed in the links. *Both my characters
I didn't want to estimate the pop but i've had a go at what would be in a coruscant cityscape, let me know what you think.

As there is an issue with the eros i've been told, I have removed the concern here, and replaced the firepower with homing missiles, and more of the heavy turbo lasers.

There was a rework, of the design due to the change. No more AOE concerns from the eros and the reduction of its firepower + tactical options significantly (from the rounds I was hoping for), meant I put more of that effort into the trenches, and the civilian population angle. Sorry for you having to reread. It achieves the same effect with a different medium.

I do not like solo dev threads, not for larger projects anyway. However, the posts are well composed and written and fulfil the requirement.

I will approve this, but remember to use this with fairness and balance in the upcoming invasion. I know you will do the right thing.
