- Phrik construction grants resistance to lightsabers.
- Slightly Alchemized gold band in the hilt grants the khopesh Cinematic Mode™. When Cinematic Mode™ is active, weapon emits classic movie sword sound effects.
- Phrik: Strong, lightweight, highly resistant to lightsabers.
- Unusual Design: The khopesh is not a weapon that sees wide use. Though the unusual shape of the blade takes some practice to use effectively in battle, it can potentially throw off opponents who aren't used to dealing with the design. Of particular note is the hook on the backside of the blade, which can be used to grab shields, loose bits of armor, or anything else that'll oblige.
- Cinematic Mode™: Weapons these days lack a sense of the theatric. Though Rusty is unable to use the Force, his contacts in the weapons industry sent him a slightly alchemized gold band for use in the hilt. When the wielder channels the faintest trickle of Force energy into the band, Cinematic Mode™ is activated. Once activated, the sword makes all the standard movie sound effects, replicated in crystal clear HD perfection. It dramatically swooshes through the air. It hums with audible sharpness, and clangs like a hammer on an anvil when it strikes something. It even makes that weird SHWING sound when drawn from its scabbard.
- Stealth: Though Cinematic Mode™ must be consciously activated by the user in most circumstances, areas with high latent Force energy can automatically trigger it.
- Vulnerable: Furthermore, like most alchemized items, the effect is diminished or eliminated altogether by voidstone or ysalamir.
- Unwieldy: The unusual proportions of the blade mean that it won't handle like most anything else on the battlefield. Without proper training, it will be clumsy and unwieldy in the hands of the owner.
[member="The Matador"] can tell a really good dad joke, so Rusty rewarded him with a weapon. Save for its phrik construction and the slightly alchemized gold band that provides Cinematic Mode and nothing else, it is a completely standard khopesh. In skilled hands, it is an excellent weapon for use in close quarters combat, though getting the skill into those hands will take some work.
