Earlier...

Arianna was a Sith Lady.

Sure, she loved her daughter, and yes, she was more laid back in her approach, but Arianna was a definite Sith, and that meant occasionally showing the young woman some tough love.

The Witch had advised and outright Dark Side approach to her daughter's recent injuries, making her use her anger and pain to help her with focusing the Force, because there was no getting around it: recent events had simply made it all but impossible for Laertia to use the Force in the manner Darth Themis advocated. She simply wasn't emotionally capable of it right now, shaken and rattled by her losses at Tython, at the struggles of having to rebuild and keep her faction from fragmenting. At the more recent and devastating injuries dealt to her by Darth Strelok in vengeance for Laertia's attack on the Silver Rest, with the naked threat to kill her if she ever tried anything like that ever again.

Laertia had decreed the woman formerly known as Maple Harte was not to be punished.

Strangely, the Personality that was actually in control of Arianna, Vivian, had decided to not fight the surface personality's decision to advise this.

She had been deep within for weeks now, having not emerged in all that time to come up for air. But after seeing what Tython had done to her poor daughter, how it had driven her over the edge. Her anger and Arianna's anger were one in the same, and it was in that distress that they had begun to...merge.

It was only on that point...but it was enough to worry Vivian after her latest training session, which had mirrored the first training session Laertia had with Arianna all those years ago at Golbah.

The pale fleshed Countess had not been feeling well after arriving at her private estate on Khemost, but mainly that was because Vivian was struggling to surface.

Arianna paid it no mind, musing that perhaps she was merely dehydrated. But the feeling persisted as she stumbled through the lavish rooms, flesh shuddering everywhere on her body, warping and bubbling as Vivian strained mightily, trying to put Arianna back in the cage. Slowly, Arianna's mind collapsed in on itself, warping and reconfiguring to that of Vivian, as did the flesh. An elderly but beautiful red headed woman stood in her place, gasping for air.

It was becoming more and more difficult to escape Arianna. Vivian felt Arianna's anger and hatred at the current situation as though it was her own, which, in a sense, it was.

She started seeing things more from Arianna's point of view, and knew she absolutely needed a few days of being herself. She had almost failed. No Force Spawn was ever meant to channel a False Persona for so long without the risk of it becoming the true one.

Vivian at last reached her private suite and found her creator and master, Darth Themis Darth Themis , waiting, lounging in a seat, clutching a lightsaber spear.

Vivian was instantly on one knee. Themis had seen this moment, likely weeks in advance, now doubt, and had timed it perfectly.

'What is thy bidding, my master?" Vivian asked, frustrated that just as she had gotten free, she was being sent back to work.

"You must go to the Bogano system, Creation." Themis instructed. "There you shall find a vault, and an ally."

"What is in the vault?" Vivian asked, keeping the irritation out of her voice.

"The Epistle of Darth Dynamis."

Vivian's eyes went wide.

"It can't be. I thought the Jedi burned all the last remaining copies." Vivian said.

"The time for the Serpents to make our presence in the Galaxy known once again is drawing near. The Jedi cannot see beyond all their little wars. Their vision is clouded. But be warned...you are not the only one who has caught wind of it. However, if you take advantage of the situation at hand...he could be a powerful ally."

"I shall leave at once. Will Arianna be needed for this?"

"No. Too high profile. Go as yourself."

Herself. The last resort.

Vivian had all but bent over backwards to help build this faction. Her will had powered Arianna.

And still she was the last resort.

"As you wish..." was all Vivian said in reply...

Present.

Vivian had arrived at the lush yet rocky world of Bogano aboard a Dynamic Class Freighter built for her by her troubled, rattled, broken daughter. Bogano was a world touched by the long extinct Zeffo, and the ancient Vault once explored by Kal Cestis could still be seen as she flew over the world, to the coordinates provided,
a group of Archeologists had uncovered the cache only days before, so it was essential she arrived before they realized what they had found and summoned the authorities or worse, Jedi.

But Vivian had a Light Side Aura and was confidant all it would take was to pass herself off as a Jedi, quietly take the Epistle and leave as quietly and as suddenly as she came.

But no plan survives the reality of a situation. and as Vivian headed to the excavation site, she sensed a great power on the horizon and grew intrigued.

"Seems I might have a chance to prove I don't need Arianna after all..." Vivian mused as she landed the ship, stepping onto Bogano soil and walking along a dirt path towards a set of overgrown ruins to the north...
