The marriage of Gherron Vael and Nefertari Sovint

Chapel foyer, 0912 hours.
Gherron paced back and forth in his back room, a mixture of happiness, nervousness, excitement and anxious flooding his thoughts. It was only minutes now until the ceremony, and guests had begun to fill the large room already, some he knew, others he didn't. He smiled at a man walking over to congratulate him, and breathed in and out deeply. He wondered how his bride-to-be, [member="Nefertari Sovint"], was doing off in her own little room, getting ready for the biggest day of their life. Looking in the mirror, he slicked his hair back for the thirtieth time and readjusted his bow-tie for the fiftieth. It had taken a while to organize this event, and he wanted it to be the best day it could be. He'd gone to the length of finding his two most trusted friends to help with everything, [member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] and [member="Xander Carrick"]. One was his best man, while the other would be marrying him and his fiance. There was no way this could go wrong, he told himself. This was their day.

This is a public thread, open to anyone and everyone. However, it is asked that it is kept violence-free. There will be cake and wine. Lots of both.

Chapel Entrance 0930 Hours
Benedict approached the Chapel dressed in a grey Tuxedo and matching pants. Today would be a big day, two star crossed lovers would be united in holy matrimony. But he was here for something more too, he was a new banker who'd recently opened up in Mandalore and Yavin. Perhaps during the festivities he could encourage some of the guests to do business with him. However, he wouldn't push it since it wasn't his day. He paced around the halls and waited for the ceremony to start.

Sadran Simitri

Guest
Sadran figited in her dress as she walked up the steps to the chapel, twice she almost tripped. It wasn't everyday that she donned formal wear, but today wasn't like every other day. Sadran had just returned from a mission that almost cost her life. She had been so eager for a job that she took the first one offered to her, and it turned out to be a lot more than she bargained for. When she returned home she was exaughsted, injured, and broke. Sadran needed a change of scenery after that, so she did what any rational person would do, she decided to crash a wedding. Much to her disbelief, it wasn't actually all that difficult to find a wedding.

So now here she was, walking into a chapel to watch two people she didn't know get married. Maybe she could find some happiness from watching them, she definitely needed more of that in her life. And maybe they would have alcohol, lots of alcohol.

Sadran took a seat towards the back of the hall and surveyed her surroundings as she waited for the program to start.

Klesta

Klesta, having met [member="Nefertari Sovint"] on Christophsis, also attended the wedding of the countess. He liked the more intellectual allure of the woman, which reminded him of a certain Jessica, who also was a woman loaded with knowledge to his eyes. He was a Jawa, all right, and he was accustomed, for years, to be among the higher echelons of society, especially since he was a senator. But he knew that this woman was different from the being he called Jessica. Last he talked about Jessica, she was the mascot of the Confederacy. Probably still is, too. But there was no secret that, given the high status of the bride, the wedding had to be opulent on some level. On that count, he wasn't disappointed. And so he was seated among the hundreds of attendees to the wedding ceremony, while it was almost going to begin, just waiting on the bride to arrive. He couldn't say when she was going to arrive...

Stanly arrived at the wedding dresses in a tuxedo and sunglasses with a smile on his wrinkly face as he walked up to greet the groom [member="Gherron Vael"]

"Congratulations on the wedding good sir!!!...." He said with a smile

He then walked off into the crowds to mingle still smiling. He admired the elegant chapel and scratched the back of his head

"What a nice wedding this is!!!....." He said before disappearing into the crowds

Today was finally the day. Nefertari could hardly believe this was all real, that she was finally marrying [member="Gherron Vael"]

It had been a long time since she'd fallen into his arms on Ilum, or even since they'd reunited in the netherworld. She was nervous, as this was the biggest day of her life so far.
She checked her dress and makeup yet again, wondering what would become of herself and her husband to be. Children, living arrangements, and a multitude of other topics flashed through her mind. She finally snapped back to the matter at hand when she sensed not only her love's anxiety, but a fair number of familiar presences as well.
This was a happy occasion, and Nefertari was ready as she would ever be.

Azu found his child-sized tuxedo rather binding compared to the robes he'd grown accustomed to. He'd wear it for his sister's wedding, but it would be right back to his usual getup afterwards. There were many more guests than he'd imagined; even Azu knew that [member="Nefertari Sovint"] kept a few really good friends, and [member="Gherron Vael"]'s social life was pretty much non-existent. While waiting for things to start, he took a seat next to [member="Klesta"]

With [member="Azu Sovint"] next to Klesta, the Jawa still wondered what was the relationship between him and either of the soon-to-be-wed people. [member="Gherron Vael"] and [member="Nefertari Sovint"], respectively. Also, [member="Stanly"], [member="Sadran Simitri"] and [member="Benedict Rotadaria"] were somewhere in the chapel. He hoped that such social functions would not prove to be too unpleasant. Hopefully the program would soon start, music notwithstanding. Because all there is to the current setup is music. Alcohol, cake and whatnot will have to wait until later. If his information is correct, one of the two will throw a bouquet of flowers once the rings have been exchanged and their vows are consumed. But vows will be consumed first, and then they will kiss each other. Perhaps the program is different for them than it has been for Jessica when she had it - last time he met Jessica, it was on Geonosis. But Jessica's wedding was somewhere in the Sith Inquisitor, a tabloid that described her marriage as the gold standard for everyone championing same-sex marriage across human/Near-Human species to adhere to.

A hand would fall on the shoulder of [member="Gherron Vael"] who had apparently gotten his act together enough to return to his actual name and stop being silly long enough to go get married. The hand was larger, the muscular creases told of a warrior's life, and when Gherron would look back, his former Master would smile upon him and nod his head gently.

"You're nervous."

Josh could tell it easily. Not by some precognitive sense, but because it was written all over Gherron's face. It was a wedding, so no surprise, but he couldn't imagine how Gherron was feeling being the groom himself. It wasn't a feeling Josh was accustomed to. He'd never been married himself. Maybe one day, right? He knew [member="Shmi Labooda"] was around, maybe he'd crack a joke about her grabbing the bouquet.

Eh, who knows?

Regardless, he wanted to help his former pupil, and best friend, to the best of his abilities. But what could he say in this instance? This wasn't something he was experienced in. For once, Gherron knew more about the matter then his former Master. But he could at least give advice on nerves.

"Breathe. You don't want to grow a new set of wrinkles before you even get out there and make your fiance change her mind, no?"

A smirk followed the joke. He supposed all he could do was be himself.

Public marriage ceremonies in her opinion were dangerous because people were terrible. As the Nameless one was walking she had a small look on her face od disapproval as she found marriage a violation of the jedi code and had several datapads with rules and regulations from the order to support its dangers throughout the centuries that it had been around. Her blue purple hair was back in a tight ponytail and the cloak she was wearing over the bodysuit presented itself quite nice with her lightsaber on her hip while she was moving with a few other ideas. Her one tome of jedi knowledge and lore was there along with the lifeblood enhancement. Given her knowledge she had been asked to try it out and see about the synthetic substance before long. "So this should be interesting."

An older gentleman walked in for a moment to greet Gherron, congragulating him on this new part of his life, and he smiled in his thanks. However, his smile would only widen when he felt the warm hand of his friend and heard his voice. Where in the galaxy would he be without [member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]? He'd taken him in when he was but a teenager, and now here he was, best man at his wedding. "You're right, i'm very nervous. I'm terrified." He looked at himself in the mirror once again, then at the reflection of the other blonde behind him. Sighing, he turned to face the man. "How is it that I can face off against the blights and criminals of the galaxy without breaking a sweat, yet when it comes to affairs like this, what one would call 'normal', I freeze up?" He took a moment to survey the increasing number of guests in the main foyer mingling. Some he thought he recognized, others were new faces to him entirely; a jawa wandered about, and even a rodian. Last he checked, he'd never even met a rodian before. First for everything, right? Suddenly, he began to wonder where [member="Xander Carrick"] was. It was unlike the man to ever be late for a gathering like this, especially when there was any kind of drink involved.

Well, to be frank, Josh didn't give a damn about the restrictions of an order long dead. What he cared about was the Order now, and the Order now allowed marriage. So Gherron was fine to get married. He would chuckle then as Gherron would admit to his nerves. Well, that wasn't obvious at all.

"I'd probably be terrified in your position. I've killed Sith Lords, Gherron, but I'd be jittery as all hell if Shmi and I got married" Josh would joke, laughing in turn.

"At least you got rid of that ridiculous fake name before your wedding."
