OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create a kind of Sith Spawn that can take up a support role in space combat
  • Image Credit: Siren by E-Soulu

  • Links: Starweird

GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: The Lost Daughters
  • Designation: Sentient
  • Homeworld: Katarr
  • Language: Basic, Sith
  • Average Lifespan: 45
  • Estimated Population: Rare
  • Description: Even on first sight, the heritage of the Lost Daughters becomes apparent. Their shape and eyes are reminiscent of the Starweird, while the skin, hair and face show their partly human blood. Generally they look like pale, thin human woman, with glowing yellow eyes, that seem to be almost translucent. While they lack the more beastly features of the Starweird, their frame and limps still seems oddly long and distorted.

PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Breathes: Vaccumbreather
  • Average height of adults: 1,75
  • Average length of adults: N/A
  • Skin color: Pale
  • Hair color: White
  • Distinctions: None, besides a few slight diffrences in heigth and face, the Lost Daughters all look roughly the same.
  • Races: None
  • Strengths:

-Siren's Song: Instead of the twisted shrieks and screams of the Starweird, the Lost Daughters call upon a wicked song. Instead of fear they call upon a seductive whisper, a song of desire sung into the minds of all those willing to listen. Those caught in the endless symphony will suddenly feel a strong love and care for the Siren's around their ship, some going so far as to leaving the safety of their vessel without protection against the deadly vacuum of space.

-Starweird: While the Daughters don't share all of the powers of their forerunners, some parts remain the same. Like the Starweird the Daughters have no need to breath, and like them they are untouched by the forces of gravity, floating weightlessly even within the borders of a spaceship. They also share their strong sense for telepathy and a basic connection to the force.

-Phase Shift: The marriage of Starweird and human essence robbed the Daughters of their ancestors inoperable nature. Yet they are not entirely solid like a being born from nothing bit flesh, and by offering a considerable amount of energy they can still traverse through solid matter for a handful of seconds.

-Unassuming: Those that see the Daughters will most likely believe them to be lost and afraid. To humans and near humans it is even likely that they will have a exotic attractiveness.
  • Weaknesses:

-Frail: Other then the Starweird, the Daughters are frail beings. While matter still affects them slightly less then a human being, most kinds of even the most basic energy weapons can lead to their quick death.

-Force Light: Born from the dark side, the Daughters natrually fear the light. Due to their nature that isn't as entrily dark as that of most Sithspawn, they do not die on first contact, but a hit of force light is still more then enough to knock them out.

-Madness: Whenever a Daughters comes to new life, there is a chance they fall mad. The unholy marriage between humanity and the Starweird is a burden that weights heavily on their mind, and they lack to the strenght to withstand it. Not only can the Daughters randomly abandond their task out of some twisted reason, they also lack the mental strenght to withstand fear and mental attacks.

-Consumtion: The Daughters need to consum the essence of living beings to survive. While they can show almost human behaviour when they recently feed, their more primal insticts grow stronger when not, leading to wild, and uncontrollable beings.

CULTURE
  • Diet: Essence
  • Communication: Telepathy
  • Technology level: N/A
  • Religion/Beliefs: The Daughters generally believe in the Force. Most go further and put their faith in the dark side, but in rare cases there are those among them that walk the path of the twilight, and even the light. Those that call upon the light are outsiders that fleed the chains of their creator, yet their tales normally end with either death or darkness once they fail to further consume.
  • General behavior: The Daughters, with only 32 living Individuals, are a closed of community that keeps to themselves. While they are bound by blood and magic to their creator Darth Abyss, almost none, besides the most deranged, of them has any love or loyalty for their hollow lord. Instead they place their priority on their own survival, a task that to their displeasure is linked to the being that shaped them to existence. Normally the Daughters dance through space, quietly hungering until a ship crosses their path. Then they begin their eldritch song, whispering lies of love and waiting happiness into Spacer ears. Those that fall victim to their seductive chorus become the essence on which the Daughter nourish.

When they are not currently hunting for more essence to devour, the Daughters try their best to make a normal life for themselves, at least within the limitations of their state of being. Chained into space by their Starweird heritage, some try their luck to escape into the distant corners of the galaxy. There most of them find that their hunger controlls them more then they would like to believe, forcing them to hunt through primal instincts. They often return after learning that they are little more then a scourge upon the galaxy, and better of living with their kin.

Yet if one would free a Daughter and offer her a way to consume without the need to kill living beings, it would be possible for them to live a life outside the darkness that commands them.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

The Starweird were always a kind of being in which Darth Abyss was highly interested. Not only did the hollow lord design spells for the sole purpose of commanding them, but he even forged a familiar out of a twisted mix of their essence and his won. Yet even that was not satisfying enough for the broken desires of the deranged sith. The unique properties of the Starweird made them formidable foes, but their wild, animalistic minds made them almost impossible to control. What he required was a new version of them, shaped to once again marry his own essence with them.

The Lost Daughters aren't merely Starweird deformed by arcane means, but an entirely new creation. Born from magic and alchemy, several components are forced to form one: Imprisoned Starweird are the core, but they are baptized in the blood of the Mindeater's human victims, and a few drops of his own blood. They are all his daughters in the most horrific sense of the word, chained to his command by their fragile minds as much as by their shared blood.

Among the Daughters there are only a handful few that are faithful towards their Father. These rare loyalists are kept away from the toxic minds of their kin, and further indoctrinated into believing that eternal service to the Prophet is the only chance they have to ever be more then lost beings never meant to be.

[member="Jairus Starvald"] Yeah I considered that, but the whole "phasing through walls" thing was one of the key Starweird traits I wanted to keep lol. Instead I intended to throw out their extreme resilience and advanced offensive capabilities in return to balance things out. Yet if you think that needs changing I will obviously do that.

I would be okay with it being a timed thing as a compromise.

They can trigger their phase for x amount of seconds, but it drains them a lot. That way you can still have it for flavor and story- while also making sense with the process you are using here.

That good for you?

[member="Jairus Starvald"] yeah. Changed the strength and added one specifically for that phase shift. Also edited their "frail" weakness to reflect that they are affected by physical weapons, even if slightly less then a normal human. An other things that need changing?

[member="Darth Abyss"]

So, this Sithspawn is increasingly rare, can be killed easily with energy weapons, can be hurt with conventional physical weapons, the Lightside hurts it per standard. In return they don't inspire fear, but instead obsession through their song.

Sounds like a reasonable Sithspawn based on the Starweirds.

I am okay with this, pending secondary approval!
