The Kinetic Hand

[Kixi Rajki]

It was just another day, another day and another battle. The war against the ferocious and unforgiving Xendaj. The Xendaj themselves were a large green reptilian type creature. Humanoid in shape, but were much stronger, and on average larger than the all human inhabitants of the worlds comprising the volatile Sajnen Confederate. The humans in general were more technologically advanced, yet they lacked unity and the numbers. The Xendaj on the other hand were slightly less advanced, but made up for it with their sheer numbers and the fact that they were loyal and served a single ruler without hesitation. They unlike the humans would give up their lives for him in a single heart beat.

In the office off General Xiz'Takhan, the tall and broadly built man stood as he faced the singje window that looked out to where he could see the men and women he commended going about their business. Just then a knock on the already open door could be heard as Züncålazin and First Prime of Sunrider Kixi Rajki stepped in.

"You called for mr General." The very young Kixi would firmly announce herself to the general who still had his back faced to her.

Slowly he turned around. The general was a tall black haired man with a moustache and a small goatee under his chin. His face was scared all over. The man had clearly seen one too many battles in his long military career.

"First Prime Rajki, we have a problem that can no longer be ignored. The Züncålazin. As you know there are two types. The Force Sensitive ones like yourself, and the non Force Sensitive ones. We need to compensate for the lack of Force abilities of the non Force Sensitive Züncålazin. Like always this is where technology takes its role."

Kixi stood there in silence as she listened attentively to the general giving him the occasional nods of acknowledgement.

"You can for example with the Force push someone back, or a group of people or even objects back with your hand. Our scientists are developing a glove type device which we have dubbed the Kinetic Hand to allow the non Force Sensitive Züncålazin do that, plus more on the battlefield just like people like yourself do it using the Force. First Prime Rajki, I would like it for you to be involved in its testing to see how well it can operate compared to an actual adapt Force user such as yourself. Would you like to see it?"

Kixi's face lit up as the general had come to expect after his offer and invitation was said.

"Yes General Xiz'Takhan, I would be delighted in actual fact."

The General had come to expect nothing less from the young woman. After all he knew of her keenness in participating in the development in advanced technologies and weapons. Although not the greatest of pilots, her piloting skills were still exceptional and well above the average. It hadn't been all that long ago since she had successfully tested a hibridium cloaking device on a prototype fighter. That had in the end proven to be a test of her elite piloting skills plus adeptness using the Force, as a complete engine shut down during a battle with the Xendaj had resulted in a death plunge in which she narrowly had recovered from, saving herself, her co-pilot Braj'tec, and of course the prototype fighter and its hibridium cloaking technology.

General Xiz'Takhan eyed the young Kixi momentarily as Kixi did the same to him. Historically he wasn't too fond of her family, one of several noble and powerful houses that had power in the government of their planet and in the overall coalition known as the Sajnen Condederate. Hers was the House of Rajki, and in particular the general didn't think too highly of Kixi's father Hajkon. Yet his younger daughter who stood before him, gleaming in the uniform of the House of Sunrider, serving as the right hand of its ruler, Lord Xiz'Jhan was something else entirely.

Kixi had recently been ejected from her own house by her father. Kixi was a biological scientist as well as a Züncålazin. Yet her father had opposed the use of biological weapons. Despite him not being able to stop the use of them by the other houses, notably that of Sunrider, he refused to take any part in the use of such horrid weapons. When however he had learnt that his own daughter had actually been working on such horrors behind his back, and had infact been the one who had solely developed a biological weapon used against the Xendaj, he without further hesitation ejected her from his house disowning her. Lord Xiz'Jhan from the rival house who had funded her project had been so impressed by her overall abilities, that he had made her his right hand, also known as a first prime of his own house.

"Okay First Prime Rajki, follow me. We're going for a walk to one of our secret labs, it's in a large underground bunker not far from here."

Kixi nodded as she followed the older man out.

"Sir General, just so you know, unless it's anything formal, you can just call me Kixi." Kixi said in a soft girly voice behind him, making it ever so apparent just how young she really was.

"And likewise Kixi, I don't mind you calling me by my first name Jhan either, in the same circumstances of course."

The two would then chat quietly to one another as they slowly made their way to the lab.

It didn't take them long to finally reach the bunker. It was however in a quite secluded spot. Kixi and the General arrived at a turbolift shaft. The turbolift would take them a good 100 metres underground. At this point neither Kixi or the General uttered a word. Finally however they wound arrive.

"Welcome Kixi, as you can see before you is a research lab." Jhan would state the obvious as Kixi curiously looked around her observing several scientists at work. "But come, follow me down stairs please."

Downstairs? Isn't this the bottom most level? Kixi thought to herself. As they walked past all the busy scientist who paid little or no attention to the two warriors. The two made their way to the opposite side of the some what larger research lab. There, there were several windows, with computers, terminals and consoles aligned along the underneath part of the windows. And then she saw it. From there there were stairs that lead to a very large arena. The windows above where they were coming from was infact a viewing area.

"After you Kixi". Jhan motioned for Kixi to walk downstairs. They then walked down at least three flights of stairs. Now they were surely at the very bottom of the bunker. At least a good 150 metres down Kixi estimated.

Another very tall black haired woman then approached.

"Ah there you are." Jhan enthusiastically called out. "First Prime Kixi Rajki, this is Lieutenant Commander Kajtia Xiz'injhürek. Lieutenant Commander, this is Lord Xiz'Jhan's First Prime." The General was quick to introduce the 2 women to each other. Kajtia was also a Züncålazin, just like Kixi, but in this case unlike Kixi, a non Force Sensitive one. Kajtia was only 5 years older than Kixi, however given Kixi was only 18, the fact that Kajtia was already 23 and long past the transition from teenager to full adult, the difference was apparent at least as far as composure and the sternness of each one's voice was concerned.

The two women simply looked at one another until Jhan once again broke the silence.

"For starters I would like for the both of you to shake hands. You'll be working together. Well actually you'll be fighting each other. Of course in the test environment of this area. You will both have your body force field shields on, both will have stun guns and training sabres, and lastly, Kixi you will use the Force in this contest and you Kajtia will wear the Kinetic Glove prototype and use it against Kixi in this fight."

The two women shook hands, surprisingly neither was reluctant to do so and took a liking to one another. To the content of the General. Just then 2 scientists appeared wheeling in some equipment which included the Kinetic Hand glove.

"Good, you two are off to a good start, just what I want to see. Hopefully you'll finish off like that too after this test is over. Ah the glove. Now before we initiate this, it's now time to explain just what this thing does and how it works." Jhan commented picking up the glove and all its wires from the trolley the 2 scientists had just wheeled in.

General Xiz'Takhan lifted the glove to show both women.

"This my good comrades is the next generation of kinetic weapons. Instead of having to hold a pistol like weapon, such as the already common sonic pistol, we have incorporated the design and technology of such pistols into this glove, or better said due to its size and weight, a gauntlet."

The General then showed some of the cables attached to it.

"These wires if you want to call them that are more than that. They're quite advanced technology. When the glove is worn, they wrap around tightly to your skin, then they tether to your body joining to your nervous system. With that you'll be able to operate the glove using your thoughts, just like a Force user does with the Force. Of course such things require training and getting used to, but Kajtia has already done that, so we can very much get on with this test in moment."

The General still had one last thing he wanted to demonstrate.

"At close range the glove has another use too. It is also a stun gauntlet. Again using your thoughts, if you wrap your hand into a fist and punch your opponent, you can as you make contact release a discharge of electricity to stun, cripple or possible even kill your opponent. Of course for the purpose of this exercise, the energy levels have been set to low, so there will be no chance that any fatalities can accidently occur as a result of.......being over enthusiastic." He finished lifting an eyebrow at Kajtia who would be fighting Kixi with the gauntlet in a moment's time.

Jhan then handed the gauntlet to Kajtia where she slowly put it on.

"Oh and one last thing. I've changed my mind regarding the use of body force shields. They won't yield the best results. Instead you will both use light body armour."

The 2 scientists who had brought in the glove returned with the armour. Basically it was very light and would offer only minimum protection. It included a helmet, padding for the neck area, torso, shoulders, the lower back and upper thighs. That was it. It was likely that both women would receive some bruising and injuries as a result, but nonetheless both were still keen to proceed as they geared up and readied themselves for the ultimate test of the Force versus advanced technology.

[Kixi Rajki]

The two women were all geared up and ready for combat. Several of the scientist could be seen observing high above them from the observatory windows.

"I'll watch from just outside the entrance to this arena from up there. Feel free to start your mortal combat as soon as I've made my way up". Jhan advised the two women as he made his way back to the top of the same flight of stairs they had come down from.

"Well who goes first. Like um who should initiate the attack, you, me, you?" Kixi jokingly said out to the other woman as soon as General Xiz'Takhan had moved out of harms way.

Kajtia would reply half smiling with a smirk on her face. "Sure child I'll go first, take this for size!" Kajtia would then push out with her right arm and hand, the one with the kinetic gauntlet and fire an invisible sonic waive at Kixi.

Kixi who only had a split second to react, put out her own hand to stop the push coming at her with the Force. Her own Force push countered Kajtia's kinetic push. Boom! The two women staggered back a bit in opposite directions. And then it was on. Both retrieved their shinai and bolted for each other. The clashing of training swords had began as the two struck at each other at incredible speeds. From time to time, both would get hit, yet it didn't hinder either combatant. Then the two got very close, locking shinai, so close infact that Kajtia was able to punch Kixi using her glove and sent a jolt of electricity through her. Kixi naturally flew backward in the air and hit the ground hard dropping her shinai in the process.

"Ouch!" She exclaimed, but it was far from over. As Kixi got up, Kajtia pushed her hard onto the wall using the kinetic energy from her glove. A loud almost crunching noise could be heard as Kixi hit the wall back first with the back of her head following. And before she could fall to the ground, Kajtia had once again fired another sonic waive at her from her glove virtually pinning Lord Xiz'Jhan's first prime onto the wall.

Just as it looked like it would be over to the observing general and scientist watching from above, Kixi fought back. Using the Force she sent an push to counter Kajtia's push on her. Then it became a struggle. The two pushed into one another with an invisible push. One using the Force, and the other the glove. The struggle from both women could be heard from well inside the lab above them. The energy both were exerting was tremendous. Both continued to push at each other. If Kixi won, she would break free from Kajtia's locking push on her. From there she was confident that she could beat the older woman as with the Force she still had other abilities in which her opponent would not be able to replicate with her glove. However if she failed and lost, Kajtia wound surely smash her into the wall with an even stronger impact than before, something she knew would take her out and end the contest with her loss, extensive injuries and embarrassment.

[Kixi Rajki]

Kixi struggled against the force of the invisible push that was being created by the energy of Kajtia’s glove. Yet she resisted, held on as she used the Force to counter the push on her back. It had reached a point to where the two women were grid locked. Separated by an invisible field that was pushing against them. Then suddenly the push on Kixi began to weaken. Now Kixi began pushing Kajtia back and suddenly it was Kajtia who was resisting Kixi’s push on her. And then Kixi felt as if she were making progress in advancing on the older woman. Yet it wasn’t Kixi who had suddenly found more strength through the Force. Instead it was Kajtia’s high piece of technology that was losing power.

Kajtia could feel the tug move against her suddenly and the drop of power in her gauntlet. Realising that in any moment Kixi would have her thrown hard against the opposite wall, she decided to withdraw momentarily as her high tech gauntlet device needed some quick recharging, has it had had most of its energy drained but not depleted. Kajtia disengaged her push on Kixi and rolled to one side while producing her stun gun. As she came to face Kixi, she began firing at her. Kixi however was quick, as she too moved to the side to evade the blaster fire. Then stretching out with her hand, she yanked the blaster right out of Kajtia’s hands.

“Ha, your glove can’t do that, using the Force is still much superior in all aspects!”

But Kajtia had already improvised on the fact that she had had her gun yanked right out of her hand and that Kixi was now about to shoot her with her own stun gun. Kajtia bolted straight for Kixi and before Kixi could even take aim to shoot, Kajtia had thrown her whole body at her, grabbed her and performed the take down. Of course it was all short lived as Kixi would roll out of it and spring back to her feet in a Force assisted move. This time Kixi fired the shot at Kajtia, however only for it to deflect off Kajtia’s shoulder armour as she kinked herself slightly to one side before punching Kixi in the gut with her once again charged up Kinetic Hand. Releasing electricity as she hit Kixi, it sent her flying back several metres.

“Like I’ve already proven baby face, I don’t need the Force to beat you!”

Yet as Kajtia paused for just a fraction to assess the situation, Kixi got up in a flash and pushed Kajtia back using the Force. It sent Kajtia hurling back and hit the wall behind her. But it wasn’t over. Kajtia recovered instantly and using the glove pushed Kixi back who as a result hit the wall behind her. And then it would repeat several times, the two trading blow after blow, pushing one another to the wall behind them every time one got up with either the Force or the Kinetic Hand. It had become by this stage more of an entertainment for the observing General and the team of scientists watching from above.

Then after almost 10 minutes of fighting by using the kinetic energy of the glove to constantly throw Kixi towards the wall behind her, Kajtia’s gauntlet finally would deplete itself of all energy. Yet Kixi’s own energy to use the Force had also been depleted. She had exerted to much energy of her own,and the sonic pulses that had been constantly been hitting her were hurting her more than the actual impact she was getting from hitting the walls and ground.

The two then sprinted towards one another. In the process both picked up their Shinai that were still laying on the floor. As they reached each other, the clash of training swords was on once more. Despite the two being drained, the duel would continue for another 5 or so minutes. Fast and quick, the two would trade blow after blow or block or defend from each other’s blows. Finally fatigue would settle into both women, that neither could any longer raise their weapons.

Simultaneously both dropped their Shinai . The fight was over and without a doubt it had ended in a draw. Despite that, the test of the Kinetic Hand prototype had proven to be a success. Both women slowly removed their helmets and as they did, Kixi clutched her hand on her gut. She had received a beating and now that the fight was over, she could feel her body aching. Kajtia’s situation naturally wasn’t much better as she too had received her fair share of a beating. Kixi was then about to drop to one knee given the pain she was in, but Kajtia quickly took her hand to help her up and then held her gently in her arms to help her remain upright.

“That was a good fight Kixi, naturally we’re both frakked as a result.”

“You’re not wrong Kajtia, oh and thanks for helping me stay on my feet right now.” Kixi said coughing yet giggling at the same time. "I like you Kajtia".

"Me too Kixi, but hey don't get too comfy." Kajtia laughed back in return.

Just then General Xiz’Takhan had returned. “How charming to see the two of you get along so well after that gruesome fight. You should both be proud, proud that you proved the glove’s effectiveness in a battle. Well done.”

Later that afternoon, back in the local infirmary, both Kixi and Kajtia received a thorough checkup. To no surprise of the medics, both had received their fair share of bruising and fractures. Surprisingly however, the fractures were very minor and with rest or work that wasn't too physical, the doctors advised that they should heal within a couple of weeks or so, that also including the majority of the 2 women's bruises.

Given the fact that both Kixi and Kajtia were elite warriors within their ranks, and for their ages, very high up, the General Jhan Xiz'Takhan had found it some what of a surprise that the 2 had gotten along so well and so quickly, rather than hate one another's guts. A bonus no doubt he thought to himself as he found the 2 women chatting amongst themselves as he entered the ward the 2 were in. By that stage both were dressed in normal clothing and had just been discharged by the local doctor.

"How are you both doing?" The General would ask and too his surprise neither of the 2 made any complaints.

"The test was a success. Now it just needs some minor tweaks, but thanks to everyone's hard work, and the final contribution of the both of you, it's almost ready for mass production and deployment.

The two acknowledged the General and after a brief wrap up conversation Kixi would request something from him.

"Sir, I realise that as Lord Xiz'Jhan's First Prime that I actually have authority over you, however I prefer to ask politely for things. If it's okay with both yourself, and of course Kajtia, I would like to request that she be transferred to my elite unit. She is formidable and as demonstrated during the test of the Kinetic Hand, an equal to me even without the Force. I would like her to be my right hand officer sir." Kixi finished off turning and facing Kajtia who was surprised of Kixi's request, but at the same time flattered.

"Well Kixi, I can't really decline your request if it's what what you desire, and I won't."

"Kajtia she did ask if you were alright with this so I guess we'll leave it up to you."

"Why I'll be honoured to be a part of your team Kixi. The ansawer is a definite yes. Yes I will accept your offer." Kajtia enthusiastically responded.

"Good then, that is all settled. I take it you'll fill in the paperwork for her transfer later Kixi." The General said as he headed for the door. "Oh and one last thing, I'll need to see you both in about a week regarding the deployment and training of warriors who will use the Kinetic Hand. I will advise of the exact date and time once it's is a certainty. Until then you both know where to find me if you need me."

Later that night, Kixi and Kajtia decided that they would spend the evening and night together. They had only met each other that same day, in the most unusual of situations, and the two instantly had geled with one another. The 2 had returned to the capital and largest city of Terra IV, Bendenlink Sanryder or simply Sunrider City in Confederate Basic. By the time they had gotten there it was nightfall, yet the huge mega metropolis that consisted of hundreds of tall skyscrapers spanning in all directions helped light up the sky. That plus all the fast moving air traffic moving in all different directions and altitudes. Many gangways and platforms interconnected many of the huge skyscrapers giving anyone walking along such structures an impressive view of the city. Yet the city was still small when compared to the super structures and metropolis of the confederate's capital, Hedstaden Sajna or simply Sajnen Capitol on Terra Prime, which took up two thirds of that planet's surface.

The night air was fresh as the wind blew gently on both Kixi's and Kajtia's hair as they walked along one of the huge gangways between several skyscrapers, easily a good kilometre from the surface.

"I love looking at all the buildings, the lights, the moving traffic, it's a man made marvel. For some reason it relaxes me Kajtia." Kixi would place her hand gently on the other woman's shoulder as they spoke and came to a complete stop to observe and admire the spectacular scenery before them.

"I'm glad to have met you today. I foresee that we will have many good times together. Just so you know I've already taken care of the paperwork for your transfer to my division. The timing couldn't be better. That's in both meeting you and successfully testing that gauntlet. In a week's time we'll be going on a small mission. One that involves a ground assault on an orbiting Xendaj outpost. We can't use bio weapons on this one, so close range combat is what it's all going to be about. Obviously the mass produced Kinetic Hands won't be ready by then, however General Xiz'Takhan has agreed to allow you to use the same prototype version of the glove that you used today in our test fight. It will be a good opportunity to gain real life data on the weapon, and for us to work together in the field for the first time."

As the two kept watching the busy night scene, relaxing, Kajtia would express her sincere gratitude towards Kixi. That Kixi appreciated deeply as in recent times she had lost much and something about Kajtia made her feel a sense of warmth and comfort on the inside. Then they just talked about other things, the hours passed until finally they left and called it a night. They would spend the next few days together where they would get to know each other better, undertaking many activities together, some professional and some just recreational. Then on the fourth day they would get the call from the General who would be requesting their presence on an important and urgent matter.

The meeting the next day with General Jhan Xiz'Takhan was quick and brief. A mission. But not what Kixi has been expecting all along. This one would be different. Espionage and infiltration to steal some technical data.

"Okay General, I get it. We're not going to invade the place with a force. It's just Kajtia and I going in and Captain Jhason. We sneak in, we get what we want, we deal with any resistance and then we get out correct."

"That is very much it Kixi. And Kajtia will be wearing the Kinetic Hand. Jhason like Kajtia is non Force Sensitive, however he will be fine with his armoury of weapons, plus he will also have one of the other identical prototype Kinetic Hands."

From then on, the General and the 3 Züncålazin discussed the plan in full detail. The orbital station was small and not highly defended. The 3 would enter it by docking with it in a stolen Xendaj vessel. Given the low security on the station, it would be determined that by the time the small number of Xendaj on board the station realised what was happening, it would be too late. Their mission was to get the data and then destroy the station from the inside by setting off detonators at key points.

As planned Kixi, Kajtia and Jhason arrived at the orbital station. The planet it was orbiting however did have a high presence of Xendaj forces. If the 3 were to be discovered prematurely, the mission would be doomed along with the 3 Züncålazin. Yet the charade and deception worked as planned. The stolen ship was cleared to dock with the small station, and then allowed to pass through the security ships that were also patrolling the same planet the station was orbiting.

"We are good so far team. Now let's get ready to storm the place." Kixi said out to the others confidently as she turned on her lightsabre. Kajtia despite being non sensitive also had a lightsabre in her right hand, whilst wearing the Kinetic Hand on her left hand. Jhason who also was equipped with the Kinetic Hand chose to use a high powered rail gun rifle as his main weapon instead of the laser swords the 2 women had chosen.

The 3 stormed out of their ship's exit ramp catching the small amount of Xendaj in the hangar bay by surprise. Kixi pulled one in using the Force and sliced him in half at the torso with her lightsabre. Kajtia on the other hand used her glove to push another two towards a nearby wall, full impacting them. She quickly ran and leaped at the fallen Xendaj, stabbing the two with her lightsabre and killing them. Jhason wasn't shy either. He opened fire with his high powered gun and vapourised the remaining 2 Xendaj. The 3 would then run towards the station's command centre killing Xendaj after Xendaj who were caught by surprise by their lethal presence. Kixi would constantly use the Force to either push them into walls crushing them, or pulling then into her and cutting them with her lightsabre. Kajtia and Jhason would use mostly theor Kinetic Hand glove to crush the incoming Xendaj onto nearby walls or off to the side and cause them to fall several metres to their deaths. Of course there was also the return fire from the unprepared Xendaj, but the body force field shields of he 3 Züncålazin were protecting them. Lightsabres would continue to strike them down as would Jhason's high powered gun. Finally they would reach the command centre.

"Okay its locked. I'm gonna cut through it with my lghtsabre. Watch my back you two". Kixi would say already initilising the cutting.

Cutting through the door was relatively easy as the 3 stormed in to find a sole older Xendaj stand there.

"You have come here for the technical data of this planet's defence. No doubt you human scumbags wish to kill more of our children. Well I'm not giving it to you. If you want it you are going to have to kill me and my whole family with your bare hands!"

Just then the man's wife and very young boy entered from what was the man's personal quarters.

"They both contain part of the data disc locked onto their necks. If they do not voluntarily take their braces off, the only way you are going to get them is to murder them in cold blood. But you first prime, I know who you are, you don't have the heart to do it, do you?"

Kixi eyed the man and then pointed her lightsabre straight to his throat. "You really want to bet on that?"

"Yes I do daughter of Hajkon!"

Kixi then froze at the man's mention of her father as she knew damn well that he was right. Despite what she had become, deep down she was still a good person. However she needed the data.

"Please don't make me do this. I must get that data. You're right, I do not want to kill them, bit if you give me no choice I will."

"Yeah, then do it because I am not yielding to you tyrant!"

"Again I ask you, in the name of your family, don't force me to do it."

"I'm not forcing you to so anything, you are the one pointing your weapon at me and have me and my family at your mercy."

Just then Jhason would intervene. "Enough of this, kill them now before the others out there realise what has happened and then we're all dead."

"No wait Jhason, there has to be another way, you can't expect me to just slay his entire family."

"Yeah why not. They are Xendaj, they are the enemy, they wouldn't hesitate to kill us in a heart beat."

"No, this is wrong. I can't."

"Oh frak me Kixi, I knew it. You are nothing but a typical Rajki weakling. Just like your pitiful father. I can't believe Lord Xiz'Jhan who absolutely hates your father and your family made you his first prime. But don't worry, I will kill these Xendaj and then report your failure to him personally."

Jhason then pushed Kajtia who stood in between then out of the way to kill the male Xendaj first, only to be stopped by Kixi who using the Force first held him in his place, and then by inflicting some level of pain again using the Force made him drop his gun.

"You will do nothing of the kind. We are soldiers and not monsters."

"You, you, treacherous b#%ch you. You slaughtered thousands upon thousands with your biological weapons and now you wish to save these animals."

Yet Kixi just ignored Jhason and with her lightsabre cleanly cut off his left arm which had been wearing his Kinetic Hand. Jason screamed in agony but was powerless to even move as Kixi held him firm with her Force hold.

"Yeah I did that in the defence of our people, it wasn't murder in cold blood. But you know what, if I could go back in time, I would change what I did. I regret ever doing that. I despise my actions everyday for what I did, everyday!"

"You are a frakken Rajki little b$$ch, Kajtia why are you standing there, put an end to this insanity, kill her!"

However Kajtia didn't move or flinch. Jhason again yelled at Kajtia as he pleaded for her help, but again got the same response. Instead she would look Kixi straight in the eye. Unsure exactly of what to do, somehow she trusted in Kixi, and Kixi knew it.

"Kajtia." Kixi then said cranking her neck to the side.

"The final test of that Kinetic Hand can be done here and now. Hit him with it and electrocute him by having it set to pull power."

Kajtia paused a moment almost not believing what she was hearing, however she then proceeded to carry out her orders.

"Noooo, you, you are insane. You have both lost your frakken minds!"

Kajtia looked at Kixi one more time as she readied to strike Jhason down with her gauntlet of death. Kixi simply nodded the go ahead and Kajtia then complied striking Jason with with her gauntlet with a fist in which she held at his face for a good 10 seconds, in which time she totally fried him and thus killing him.

"Well done. As we all have witnessed, the Kinetic Hand works perfectly well in a real live scenario. All parts of it. Weather the sonic kinetic blasts, or the close range electrocutions. Our mission is done once he hands over those data discs."

The Xendaj man looked at Kixi once more defiantly.

"You expect me to just give it to you because you showed me some mercy. If you really want to show mercy, then let us go. If you take that data, your Lord Xiz'Jhan will command his forces to kill many of my people. This planet is not a threat to you humans and your confederate worlds. You damn well know that, search your feelings First Prime, you know it is true!"

Kixi then turned off her lightsabre and holstered it and commanded Kajtia to do the same.

"You are correct. You and you family may leave. Go now, and since I am sparring your life and that of your family, do not report us to the others out there. Give us time to set detonators to this station and destroy it. It is more than a fair deal for your life and that of your family don't you think?"

The Xendaj man nodded as he agreed to Kixi's terms and then took his family and ran.

"Our work is done here. As far as the Kinetic Hand is concerned, its a success."

"Yes Kixi but what will you tell Lord Xiz'Jhan regarding the data?"

"I will lie what do you think. I will tell him they managed to escape with the data before we got to him and that Jhason was killed in battle. No one will know but us, and the 3 Xendaj we sparred of course. He will be happy all the same to know that his little toy, that gauntlet that you wear now is a total success."

Kixi took Kajtia's other hand, the one not wearing the gauntlet.

"Kajtia, yes they are the enemy, but the reason why I stopped Jhason today and the reason why you supported me is because you and I have a conscious. There has to be a limit somewhere. War is war, but war is not crime. Killing for no reason is a crime. That is why I could not make myself kill that very brave Xenday and is family.

Kajtia didn't doubt Kixi, not even for a second as the two setup thermal charges at key points in the station and then got back to their ship. They could see the station explode just as they entered hyperspace completely unchallenged.

[Kixi Rajki]

Several days later, Lord Xiz'Jhan himself summoned both his First Prime Rajki and Lieutenant Commander Xiz'injhürek to his private chambers deep within his highly secure palace. The General Xiz'Takhan was also present.

"My child, I'm impressed at the successful results from the deployment of the Kinetic Hand. It will greatly assist those unlike you and I not sensitive in the Force in ground combat, as you my child have helped demonstrate. My congratulations extend to you too Lieutenant Commander for actually being able to use the weapon in battle with sheer precision and efficiency."

Then a slight pause would follow as everyone in the room remained silent.

"However the fact that you failed to retrieve the valuable data we needed does not please me, nor does the death of another elite Züncålazin, Captain Jhason Jhenserer. I would like for you to explain to me how you failed in this important objective. Your failure Kixi Rajki means that our invasion of that planet will be delayed at least 6 months to a year."

Kixi looked at the powerful dark Jedi, but managed not to flinch and keep a straight face.

"We were overpowered, we got to the control centre of the station, but as we got there, their main man, not sure of his rank or position who had the data had escaped and managed to erase all records from their computers. We tried to catchup to him, but he had already escaped on his ship."

Kixi was obviously lying to him and didn't even mention the fact that the man's family had also been present.

"Also we had encountered overwhelming resistance. Jhason was killed fighting and we only just managed to escape ourselves."

"I see. Lieutenant Commander, do you support her account on these events?"

"Yes my Lord, I do. It's precisely how First Prime Rajki describes in terms of what happened."

A slight pause and quietness again would settle in.

"Very well then. I thank you both for your report. You are now both dismissed."

Both Kixi and Kajtia would then leave the dark Lord's chambers as Lorf Xiz'Jhan turned to the Geneal.

"She lied, both of them."

"My Lord I don't understand?"

"She, Kixi Rajki allowed him and his family to escape and Kajtia killed Jason on Kixi's orders. How I know this is not your concern General, all that is of concern is that it is a matter of fact."

"I see My Lord. What would you like me to do?"

Lord Xiz'Jhan simply then gave the general a wicked smile as he laughed.

"Do nothing as all is going according to plan. This is nothing but a small part to a bigger plan. Plans for greatness and conquest lay ahead for us. Kixi Rajki like her whole pitiful family will play no part of my glorious plans in the end. Kixi is but a pawn in my game of conquest. Once she had served her purpose, she will meet the same fate I have in store for her family. Oh and as for her loyal friend, Xiz'injhürek, I have plans for her to let's say..... Re-program her so in future she will be more compliant. All in good time general, all in good time."

Within several weeks the Kinetic Hand had fully passed the testing phase and had been readied for mass production by one of House Sunrider's biggest companies, Tentik Qlb Zentik, or simply Shadow Research Industries in Basic. Within a month it had been deployed to all non Force Sensitive Züncålazin, whom would greatly benefit from this technology in the battles that would lay ahead.
