We are a people borne not from some blind crusade to conquer, but from a desire to learn, to grow, to understand the universe we were born into

The Je'daii were founded with the core principles of balance, moderation, knowledge, and power.* They strive to understand the mysteries of the Force, and the Galaxy it forged, adhering to neither the Ashla (Light) or the Bogan (Dark) and instead finding a path of pure equilibrium they named the Bendu (Balance).

Unlike other Orders, the Je'daii seek primarily to study and observe the Force. They lay claim to no worlds, remain impartial to the sways of Galactic Politics, and answer solely to the Force itself. A Je'daii understands that they cannot stray too far to the Ashla or the Bogan, and falling too close to either results in long periods of meditation to restore their inner Balance.

All Je'daii are encouraged to keep an open mind. They understand that no path is set in stone, and are actively motivated to learn from all branches of their Order before settling down. Even then, no Je'daii is bound to their decision and may continue learning from whichever branch they desire after their Knighting.

There are nine branches to the Je'daii Order, referred to these days as Tho Yor after the original vessels which brought them together as an Order. Akar Kesh, the Temple of Balance. Anil Kesh, the Temple of Science. Bodhi, the Temple of the Arts. Kaleth, the Temple of Knowledge. Mahara Kesh, the Temple of Healing. Padawan Kesh, the Je'daii Academy. Qigong Kesh, the Temple of Force Skills. Stav Kesh, the Temple of Martial Arts. Vur Tepe, the Forge.

Between these a Je'daii can learn practically anything they could ever imagine, and are encouraged to do so.

The Je'daii are led by a Council of Masters, made up of the Temple Masters of each Tho Yor. While they do not interfere with the every day goings on in the Order, they will convene to make important decisions where necessary, and during times of difficulty they act as a unified guide for the Je'daii.

* Power, to the Je'daii, speaks of personal development and progression, relating to their Journey, not holding control over others.

Today we take our first steps toward a brighter future; one of knowledge, of balance... One of moderation, and power

Id7Qdu4.png

There is no ignorance, there is knowledge
There is no fear, there is power
I am the heart of the Force
I am the revealing fire of light
I am the mystery of darkness
In balance with chaos and harmony
Immortal in the Force

Our future lies in each student we bring into our fold, in each individual we aid throughout the worlds of this great Universe

Those who are brought to the Je'daii at a particularly young age fit into the category of Youngling.

At this stage in their learning a Je'daii is taught only the basics, from literacy and mathematical skills to meditation and light Force usage such as simple telekinesis.

All Je'daii Younglings are housed and raised at Padawan Kesh, where they are protected from the very real threats present in the Galaxy.

When a Youngling is deemed physically, mentally, and emotionally ready to take on the responsibility of an Apprenticeship they are raised to the rank of Padawan.

It is at this point in their learning that Je'daii-specific training can begin. Je'daii Padawans are taught the philosophy of Balance and Moderation, begin lessons in lightsaber combat, as well as more detailed Force instruction.

Most Padawans are taken on by a single Master, though some choose to go without and learn from the Order as a whole - preferring to lead their own path.

When they are deemed ready to begin their Great Journey, Padawans become Journeyers.

Je'daii Journeyers are expected to travel between the Je'daii Temple Masters and learn from them and their Tho Yor in order to gain knowledge and experience.

Je'daii Journeyers do not typically have a Master, though some retain close ties to the one they may have had as a Padawan, and are responsible for their own training.

While completing their Trials for each Temple Master, a Journeyer should be contemplating the path they wish to take.

Je'daii Rangers, though having completed their Trials, are still seen as having a ways to go in their training.

Typically they are entrusted with tasks that lay outside of the Temples, venturing into the Galaxy at large.

By the time they reach the rank of Ranger, a Je'daii should have chosen which Tho Yor they wish to become an adherent of. This does not limit them from learning things outside of their Tho Yor, however.

While they are able to take on students, many are discouraged from doing so until reaching Master. After all, their own journey has just begun.

Je'daii Masters are seen as having reached their peak. Many settle down within the Temple, where they take up students and pass down their wisdom to the younger generations.

Je'daii Masters are not really regarded any more highly than the other ranks, but most respect them for their experience.

More of an honorary title than a rank, it is the duty of Je'daii Stewards to watch over their specific Temple in the absence of the Temple Master - acting effectively as a second in command.

They are responsible for a lot of the hands on work and day to day running of their respective Temples. Je'daii Stewards can theoretically hold any rank within the Order.

Overseers of their relevant Tho Yor, Je'daii Temple Masters have a place upon the Je'daii Council and ensure that the Order is being run efficiently. Currently all Je'daii Temple Masters are NPCs.

[ Frequently Asked Questions ]

Q: What is the Je'daii Order?
We are a faction that focuses on character development and stories. The Je'daii Order provides a place for Force Users to grow and learn about the Force. We remain neutral in the galaxy, with no ties to any political groups or other governments. The journey of your character is our focus, not the destination.

Q: What alignment must my character be to join the Order?
Ideally, your character should be of neutral alignment. The view of the Je'daii Order is that the Force is neutral, with the Light and the Dark existing together. Balance is the key to everything. In the past, we have Jedi and Sith characters who joined us to understand more about the Force, as well as Force Users who wish to learn but not join the Je'daii Order. Whatever you pursue outside of the Je'daii Order which does not adhere to our neutrality values should not be done in our name.

Q: What is the training like?
All Je'daii will go through the Trials of the Je'daii, also known as The Great Journey. You can check out the Je'daii Mission Terminal to find roleplay ideas to write your character.

Q: Why are there Je'daii ranks? Do they affect my Force Powers?
We follow the same three tier rank system. The Je'daii ranks are for roleplaying purposes and do not tie to your character's Force ability. Instead, Je'daii ranks are used to track your character's growth while undergoing the Trials of the Je'daii. Simply put, a Jedi Knight or a Sith Lord who wish to join the Je'daii may both start off as a Je'daii Journeyer.
