Ramiel sat in the back of the luxury speeder, his lap covered by a leather bound notebook. On one side was a small printed list of names split into two columns, on the other was a diagram which had various bubbles written over various spots of Dantella IV. The majority of the bubbles centered around southern Steya, his home province, though there were a couple that diverted further west and another that went east. His eyes went from left to right; matching names to bubbles all while his forehead scrunched as he came across a name or two that he was unfamiliar with.

“It appears to be true.” Ramiel said.

“You’re certain?” A voice asked, originating from a phone which rested on the seat beside him.

“Yes. It appears that three other families ha e been moving into our territory without approval. They’re using distant relatives and extended family’s in the hope we did not make a connection.” Ramiel replied.

There was silence from the other end.

“I am not able to find the specific timeframe that the incursions began. For all I know these people could have been simple residents of ours who got sucked into the other families. Worst case is they were planted. I’ll need to dig into this more thoroughly when I am back home.” Ramiel said before his attention turned to the driver.

“This is concerning.” The voice replied.

House Daniels was world renowned for a multitude of reasons. They were fiercely loyal to one another. They knew each other’s direct family, their favorite colors, allergens, and even favorite movies. When it came to war they stood side by side. Unwavering in their conviction, Daniels would march right into the gates of hell to protect their own. That they did in the capitol when the Royal Family targeted one of their own. The aftermath saw that they ensured no one would ever come at them again. Both the magical and non-magical Daniels broke the spirits of some of the oldest families on their world, embarrassing them before their own kin while shattering the stability of several Houses. It would be centuries before these same Houses held their original political sway. During all of that; not one Daniels was lost. Yet a new challenge had arisen; determining just who these intruders were.

“It is. Any word from Jake or my nephews?” Ramiel asked.

“None. Last I heard Jake was heading to Tribunal Station and your nephews were heading back to Honoghr.”

Ramiels lip twitched with great irritation. He hated Honoghr. He hated the Noghri. He hated the family that had held sway over his brother for so long. Daniels needed to be on Dantella with their own, not living a life of apparent servitude.

“All things in heaven and hell, why I do hate most force users.” Ramiel snorted with a mumble.

His phone vibrated as the screen blinked twice with an envelope appearing.

“When this,” Ramiel glanced past the driver and through the front windshield were a beautiful vista came into view, “event is over.”

Looking back at the phone the message was a simple numerical code. As his driver pulled up to the vistas gates the back passenger window rolled down. Ramiel held the phone so the guard could check the code against some registry he had in his hands before motioning the speeder to continue. This was supposed to be a simple gathering, or so the invite said. A social event where representatives of some of the galaxy’s most unique magical families could come together and form alliances.

“Everything ok, Sir?” The Driver asked.

“Do me a favor and keep the vehicle running. In case I decide I want to leave early I don’t want to be held up.” Ramiel replied.

The Driver was not stupid. He may have been simple hired help but he knew the nuances of speech. Something was rubbing Ramiel Daniels wrong. Something made the otherwise impressively dressed man tense up. That in turn caused the driver to do the same.

Before the vehicle stopped, Ramiel pulled two small polished round stones from his briefcase. Sliding them both into his right front pocket, Ramiel set aside his papers and notebook before stepping out of the vehicle. The man was no fool; he may not have not liked nor used lightsabers and blasters but just because he had neither did not mean he lacked defensive capabilities.

Ramiel Daniels was not an idiot.

“Welcome, MiLord. Monsieur Adams welcomed you to his home and hopes your journey to Taanab was uneventful but enjoyable.” An Apparent escort said.

Ramiel gave the man a once over as he slid the phone into the inside of his suits pocket. He was dressed to the nines; crisp slacks with a crease that appeared as though it could cut, polished shoes which shined brightly, a midnight black tight and vest that matched the clacks and outer coat to perfection all contrasted by a egg-shell colored shirt. On his left breast pocket was a neatly folded handkerchief with an embroidered D on a corner.

“Right this way.” The escort said as he led Ramiel into the vista.

She had been away from home for far too long.

The Cataclysm that had shaken the Confederacy had been keeping the remaining Knights Obsidian on their toes. She had been traveling all over, fighting creatures that have escaped the Netherworld as she went. As was expected of those that wielded the Force.

The reprieve on Haruun Kal was much needed.

Yet, the Galaxy had other plans. As the Spellweaver was immersed in her father's books in the great Blackmoore library on the estate, her datapad chimed in a message received.
"Auria, surely you can switch that thing off. Surely. there are other Kinghts that can keep the Confederacy safe for a few weeks?" her father piped up from the arm chair next to the fireplace.
"There are. Yet this is an invitation to Taanab. Not Obsidian business at all." she answered, scrolling through the message.
"Invitation to what?"
"Some get together of magical families, it seems. Not much else. Just a when and where." she answered.
"Asking for representatives, most like. Go then. Keep our name high." Edward Blackmoore said.
"Naturally."

The Blackmoore Family Yacht touched down on the landing pad at her destination, where a guard was waiting with a register. Handing the protocol droid the datapad to hold out to the guard, she turned to the pilot, straightening her cream coloured jacket as she did so.
"Stay with the ship. I have no idea what this meeting is about. If I get bored, I want a quick exit. Got it?" she ordered him.
"Yes, ma'am."

With the guard's permission, she disembarked and marched over to the manor. Inside, she was greeted by some aide or other who had a 3 nautical mile long smile on his face.
"Mr Adams welcomes you to..." he began, but Auria waved him away.
"Just show me where I am to go. I'm not here for pleasantries." she clipped.
"Y-yes, ma'am. Right this way then." he said, before leading her into the manor to a great lounge area where some were already waiting on their host.
Not that Auria recognised any of them. She had been isolated from the magical circles for quite some time now.

None of them seemed hostile, yet the Force cloaked her in an uneasy feeling. Something was brewing. If only she knew what. She dared not attempt a scry here in the middle of the room, surrounded by unknown Force Users like herself.

<What have I gotten myself into this time?> the thought rang through her head.
