CONTENTS
The Holocron of Quan-Jang is one of the greatest collections of knowledge from the Je’daii Order, belonging to the Temple Master of Anil Kesh, the Temple of Science. It contains information on many Je’daii spiritual locations, objects and artifacts, as well as their teachings that the Je’daii Master was aware of, however some of these are very closely guarded secrets and thus the Guardian is not forthcoming with some of the darker mysteries surrounding the ancient, long dead Order.

It includes Quan-Jang’s rendition of the Je’daii Code and its tenants, as well as his opinions and accounts of the code. It contains his knowledge of Anil Kesh and the Chasm that it sat above, Ashla and Bogan, what it meant to find and achieve balance in the Force, and how the Force affected all living things differently.

Most interestingly it contains the concepts, notions, and basic information on Je’daii Alchemy for lack of a better term, the ancient precursor to Sith Alchemy. Much of the data is free-form and open to interpretation, the Guardian of the Holocron even explains this, that as life is always changing and adapting, so too does the art of its manipulation and alteration through the Force. The Guardian explicitly forbids the use of its skills on sentients, however it does include some examples of alchemical alterations being used on sentients within its databanks. It contains examples, such as Rancor Dragonshttp://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Rancor-dragon, alterations on sentient life such as those similar to the operations and techniques used to alter Tre Sana, and Alchemy of the Flesh, though it is highly lacking in actual recipes and instructions on their creation. The standard exercise for such an art was to grow and expand a brainless lump of living flesh, starting with one’s own biomatter and using Alchemy to keep it alive, grow it, and develop the mass throughout training, sometimes even beyond training. Instead it is primarily a data base of the concepts, in great detail of How the process of altering them works, rather than how to alter to achieve exact results. As a precursor to Sith Alchemy, it is similar, however there are some differences, first and foremost that it does not require the blood of the innocent in order to operate or function.

The Holocron does not only contain information on Biological alchemy, but also on Force Imbuement and other sciences studied at the temple. Again, while it contains a few examples and how those were created, much of its data is more focused on the concept of How and Why rather than simply instructions.

DESCRIPTION
The Holocron is small enough to be carried in one hand, crafted from white pontite, cased in ivory and bronze. Its pyramidal shape is reminiscent of a Sith Holocron, but is known to predate the Sith Order. It glows with a faint white light, visible in darkness but not bright enough to illuminate a room.

The guardian resembles Quan-Jang, a fairly tall, bald, dark-skinned human who wears goggles at all times. The Master Alchemist speaks to others with a quiet demeanor, and often resembles a mentor. He is a proponent of balance, having a distaste for heavy devotion to the Dark Side and mild displeasure with those that owe allegiance solely to the Light Side. He may be less forthcoming with information on Alchemy with individuals representing the stereotypical Jedi or Sith.

Strengths:
  • Alchemical Database: The Holocron is that owned by the Temple Master of Anil Kesh, containing much of his vast knowledge and experience with Je’daii Alchemy.
Weaknesses:
  • Lacking in Combat Skills: While Quan-Jang was a capable warrior and leader, the vast majority of knowledge he placed within the Holocron does not revolve around combat, lacking in explanations or instructions.
  • Few Recipes: The Holocron includes a few, but not many, mostly given as examples of how different ideas and concepts have flowed together to create things.
