Public The Heretic's Pilgrimage (Tython, GA Space)

latest

Location: Vur Tepe, Tython

The First Kiss landed on the external docks of Vur Tepe, then paid for a ticket to take skyfare onto the actual temple itself. It was strange to set foot on a Galactic Alliance world. Stranger still to be a vehicle ride away from his ship. It put Cord on edge, knowing he was entering the belly of the beast. Some things were worth it though. It didn't take long for the sky tram to make it to Vur Tepe. Stepping into the temple only furthered Cord's anxiety about the situation. It was as if the planet was trying to calm him down, yet there was a subtle voice underneath it all, reminding him of the planet's wars and skirmishes. Tython, like Cord's homeworld of Dromund Kass, had it's fair share of stories. In a little way Cord's trip was adding to that storied history.

"Business or pleasure?" A Twi'lek attendant with a name badge labeled 'Jenny' asked Cord as he checked into the temple.

"Pleasure." Cord replied. Jenny punched a card before popping her gum.

"Enjoy your stay hon."
Jenny replied and waved him along.

Cord walked farther and realized he was free, or at the very least not being detained. Letting out a deep breath Cord followed his gut, or perhaps the Force, attempting to find the legendary Forge within.

Cord's instincts were good. After making a few turns Cord managed to find a sign that directed to the the Great Anvil of Vur Tepe. Cord was not honestly not a swordsman, or even really a smith, but he was a craftsman. The Force didn't hurt either. The drifter made his way into the room containing the great anvil and noticed a tour of craftsman going through. They, like Cord, each had a touch of the Force in them. Unlike Cord, none of them were quite on his side.

This discrepancy in philosophy made for awkward looks and some confrontational personalities, but in general they chose to take the high road. Cord had no reason to fight, at least not yet. After hearing a Jedi, or Jedaii perhaps, mention an opportunity to use one of the other forges to make a force imbued blade Cord decided to stick with her. They of course, had to stop by the gift shop to pick up supplies first. Necessary components were Madog Steel and an Adegen Crystal.

Both were easy to find, but expensive. The crystal he expected to be expensive, but the steel was quite more expensive than he thought.

"What is this Madog Steel?" Cord asked as he purchased his ingot.

"Well, it's a unique blend of metals made by Them Madog, Temple Master of Vur Tepe some five millennia ago."

"But what is it? If it was made five millennia ago how do we know the alloy is made the same way?" He said as the staff member handed him his credit chit.

"The Jedi keep very good records." The staff member said. He sighed, and took a portable scanner to the ingot after he left. It was durasteel.

Seems even the Jedi weren't above stadium prices.
