SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Advanced heat sink design which not only absorbs energy, but also dissipates it outward in order to reduce recoil significantly.
  • Advanced diffusion unit which reduces recoil significantly.
  • Custom titanium moulding provides superior protection from damage.
  • Primary and secondary ammunition types toggled via switch.
  • Full automatic firing mode with extremely quick rate of fire.
  • Extreme damage output via Particle beam and advanced ammo types as secondary ammo options
  • Particle beam, which is primary ammo, explodes upon impact is highly effective against heavy armor and lightsabers.
STRENGTHS
  • Fast & Furious: The combination of its rapid rate of fire along with tremendous amounts of damage output make this weapon a true devastation to any enemy.
  • Hard-Hitting Ammo: Particle beam blasts explode upon impact, making it highly affective against advanced unit armor, armored vehicles, and Light sabers.
  • Fully Auto Frenzy: The fully automatic mode unleashes a steady stream of explosive ammunition, causing extreme amounts of damage in a short amount of time.
  • Low Recoil: While one would expect the high rate of fire and intense damage output to result in a nearly unwieldy weapon, the Harbinger boasts an impressively low recoil experience due to its highly advanced heat sink and diffusion design.
WEAKNESSES
  • Ammo Capacity: Due to the high calibre and stopping power of the ammunition used, ammo capacity is much smaller than a traditional EE-4 Carbine Rifle, causing the user to reload much more frequently.
  • Diffusion Cloud: While it is incredibly helpful in regards to reducing recoil, the intense amount of diffusion results in an orange energy mist that is constantly being released out the sides of the barrel and the side escape chamber. This can make it very challenging to effectively utilize the scope, not to mention it can give your position away pretty fast.
  • Very Loud: The Harbinger makes its presence known immediately upon firing with a distinct and harsh sound, followed by the hiss of diffusing energy chambers. There is no subtlety to be found when using this weapon.
  • Overheating: As much fun as this weapon is to fire, you might find yourself releasing the trigger quickly when the rear heat sink begins to glow hot with a bright orange color; the warning sign that the Harbinger is on the verge of bursting into flames in your hands.
DESCRIPTION
Traden (a Jedi Guardian in the Special forces of the GADF) was developing his own unique fighting style which was a blend of saber combat, martial arts, and ranged weapon tactics. He was having a difficult time finding a traditional blaster that fit perfectly with this style, so he began to have his EE-4 carbine rifle modified in an attempt to find exactly what he was looking for in a blaster. It took a couple of years of trial and error with a variety different engineers before he finally found the man who would achieve perfection; an infamous engineer named Troshi. Troshi took on the project with unique passion and vision, completely redesigning the EE-4 from the inside out with a revolutionary heat sink and diffusion design. As he was tested the design, Troshi found that he was able to safely increase the rate of fire far beyond any previous limitations caused by the original design. Traden was very happy with the progress, and pushed for higher calibre ammunition to be utilized. Troshi obliged, and exchanged the traditional powercells in favor of custom 'particle beam' powercells. He also added the ability for Traden to load in secondary ammunition, being able to switch between the types via a custom switch. The weapon was able to release the devistating rounds effectively after severe modifications, however the blaster was becoming unstable. In order to compensate for this, Troshi forged a custom Titanium molding to increase the durability of the weapon. He also continued to tweak the heat sink and diffusion design, adding an additional heat sink at the rear of the blaster that helped to absorb more energy during automatic fire. The final compromise was reducing the ammo capacity, which allowed for the final changes to the heat sink to fit inside the blaster, and Troshi felt that it was also for the sake of safety... to keep the weapon from being fired continually beyond the point of frame integrity.

The result was an absolute beast of a blaster that boasts an insanely fast rate of fire, extreme damage output, and very low recoil. It was a feat of engineering, according to Troshi. Traden nicknamed it "The Harbinger".

The Harbinger is attached to Traden's armor via straps, allowing for him to fire the weapon with one hand due to the tension against the straps which provide two more points of contact. This is viable due to the low recoil rate achieved by the advanced heatsink and diffusion design. The Harbinger is loud and mean, most commonly used in fully auto mode as it releases exploding particle beam blasts in a blur. The weapon packs a very hard punch and can be utilized against heavy infantry armor, armored vehicles, and even lightsabers. When fired, the blaster releases a distinct and harsh sound, followed by the hiss of diffusing energy chambers. The diffusion works by releasing energy out of the front barrel in the opposite direction from the releasing blast, which functions to significantly reduce the recoil experienced when firing. While this is very effective, it also produces an orange energy mist which can negatively affect sight and aiming in general. The weapon also has limited ammo capacity, resulting in frequent loading times. One must also be careful with extended use, as the weapon will begin to quickly overheat, symbolized by a bright orange glow at the rear of the blaster, which is one of the heat sinks. If pushed too hard, the internal heat sinks will burst, causing a release of pent-up energy and red hot metal, which could be deadly to the user, not to mention instantly incapacitate the blaster.
