HISTORY
A RISING STAR
Traden grew up in the house of Asherian, a prominent and highly respected family within the Jedi order. His father, Braam, was a Jedi Master of the highest calibre who sat on the Jedi council and garnished the praise and respect of his piers and compatriots. He was considered by many to be a standard in Jedi training, an embodiment of the future of the order. Braam was known for his incredible dedication to the traditions of the Jedi, as well as his profound detachment from all emotion and the eloquence and deep timbre of voice.
Young Traden was strong with the force, and he grew up desiring to become a Jedi Master just like his father. Braam, who felt a strong pride towards continuing the legacy of his name, pushed and trained Traden from a very young age in the ways of the Jedi. Because of this, Traden rose quickly above the skill and maturity of his fellow apprentices, becoming known as a rising star with much promise for his future. He excelled specifically in Saber combat, and followed in his fathers detachment philosophy.
A CONFLICT WITHIN
By the time Traden was 15, he was a symbol of maturity, and quickly became the new standard for all apprentice's to aspire to. He walked proudly by his fathers side, growing in experience and wisdom. Traden also began to develop his fathers sense of elitism and superiority over others, although it was always masked through false humility and detachment philosophy.
Traden often would hear his father and other Jedi speak one thing to a persons face, but then talk differently behind their backs. He saw that the Jedi could use subtle manipulation and eloquent speech in order to twist the will of others towards their own desired outcomes, which of coarse was always the "better" outcome. The Jedi were incredibly wise, after all, and so it was for the betterment of the galaxy for all to listen to them and to be "educated" in their enlightened point of view.
Traden was able to observe the hypocrisy of the Jedi he was around, and although he went along with it, there was a deep wrestle that was beginning to churn on the inside of the young man. This was probably due to the strong sympathy that he had inherited from his mother, who was always drawn towards the needs of others. It seemed like his father was always able to justify almost anything, and the politics with the Senate brought even more murkiness to what was right and wrong. It seemed that, if you had the right words, you could always be the one who was in the "right". And if all else failed, you could always fall back on the deaths of the innocent or inaction of the Jedi as being the "will of the force".
BOY MEETS GIRL
While on assignment with his father in a remote region of the Galactic Alliance, he met a girl named Reme. She was so much like his mother... a free spirit who found beauty and life in everything. And she was honest... sometimes brutally so. She could see right through his smooth talk and justifications, calling him out on his pride and indifference towards the needs of others. She exposed the true motives of his heart, and for the first time, Traden discovered with deafening clarity that he was a fraud... he was a fake.
He was selfish, indifferent, disconnected, haughty, arrogant, manipulative, and deceitful.
And so, at the age of 20, Traden, who had been paraded as the bright and shining future of the Jedi order, confronted his father. Braam took it upon himself to educate the young Jedi Knight, who had clearly been deceived. He had a defense for every accusation, and he had the perfect justifications and answers for every question and probing remark. Braam was an immovable force who was always right, always correct, and always righteous.
FALL FROM FAVOR
But Traden, who's eyes had been opened, could never go back to how things had been. He left his fathers side, to the horror of many of the Jedi council, and he joined the Galactic Alliance Defense Force as a Jedi Guardian. He was scolded and rebuked for this decision, as they had been grooming the young Traden to become the youngest Jedi Master in the history of the Jedi order, but Traden's resistance and resolve against their manipulations and their fluffed arguments grew stronger and stronger. He finally and officially revolted against his fathers philosophy of detachment, and he now fully rejected the political manipulation and wordplay of the Jedi order. According to many on the Jedi council, He had fallen from grace, and he was now a disgrace to the Jedi order.
The final rebellion against Jedi tradition occurred when Traden traveled back to that distant planet and married Reme openly. Many of the Jedi demanded that Traden's title of Jedi Knight should be removed. Traden was brought forth and examined by the Jedi council, and although he was undoubtedly unorthodox, the inquisition resulted in a clarity that he was undoubtedly loyal and committed to the spirit of the new Jedi order in every regard. The majority of the council voted in favor of Traden continuing as a Jedi Knight, much to his fathers disapproval.
THE WAR HOGS
Traden climbed steadily through the ranks of the Galactic Alliance Defense Force, Being trained in Special Forces and Black Ops training and fighting styles, which he used to develop his own unique fighting style which combined Jedi martial arts with blaster combat. Eventually he joined an elite commando unit called "The War Hogs", which could operate outside the boundaries of traditional military units. He excelled and continued to thrive, eventually becoming known as one of the most deadly warriors in the Defense Force.
In the midst of everything that had transpired with the Jedi order, he remained loyal to the force, and he actually discovered a deeper level of connectedness to the force as he rejected the deceitful elements of his upbringing from his father. He found the force to flow more freely in the midst of unbridled honesty and pure transparency.
A NEW MAN
And so, Traden set out and forged his own path... abandoning ancient traditions and facade in favor of raw transparency and true compassion. Although still shunned by some in the New Jedi Order due to his unorthodox approach, There are many who deeply respect what he has pioneered, and some even consider him to be a trailblazer and representative of what the New Jedi Order could one day represent.
