STRENGTHS
- The Juggernaut: The Hammer of Bastion boasts a vast arsenal of weapon emplacements that make it an incredibly dangerous warship.
- Iron Wall: Complete with redundant shielding, a reinforced hull and other extensive onboard defense systems makes the ship a daunting challenge to anyone approaching it.
- Command Center: The Hammer of Bastion's secondary bridge deeper in the ship was completely overhauled in similar fashion to the Sith Lord's previous flagship the Immortal-Class Dreadnaught Harbinger. Darth Prazutis can coordinate military forces as well as manage the Sith Empire as the Shadow Hand from this location.
WEAKNESSES
- Rear Blind Spot: Like many warships of the angular Imperial design, the Hammer of Bastion cannot fire on any ship directly behind it.
- The Bridge: A weakness attributed to many star destroyers sharing the dagger design, the Hammer of Bastion's bridge serves as a target for enemy vessels.
- Slow Mover: While powerful, the Hammer of Bastion is a lumbering giant that will be outpaced by nearly all other ships on the battlefield.
DESCRIPTION
The Darr Itah-Class Grand Battlecruiser was to be a mighty symbol of the greatness the One Sith Empire had achieved. But it's greatness wasn't truly realized as only eleven had been successfully built before the great Empire collapsed into ruin. These ships became primary targets for looters at this time but fortunately two successfully made it into Sith hands. These ships remained carefully hidden by the Sith.
When Bastion had been successfully taken and the former Sith Ascendancy rose to power under the then Warmaster Darth Carnifex the Darr Itah's were called into service these ships were retrofitted with the latest developing technology. While the anointed Blade of Fate became the prime flagship for the Warmaster the Hammer of Bastion would for a length of time remain anchored at the capital.
This changed when the Ascendancy was reborn into the Sith Empire united through the vision of its Dark Lord Darth Carnifex. Darth Prazutis was named the Shadow Hand of the Dark Lord and with the capital thoroughly secure he was gifted the Hammer of Bastion to be his personal flagship. The Sith Lord retrofitted the secondary bridge in the image of his previous flagship an iconic immortal. In his new role as Shadow Hand he needed a command center to not only coordinate military operations but to also manage the Empire as a whole.
