Onrai Onrai

In a strange twist, reality now felt like a dream, while a dream felt more like reality. It was only here, in this moment captured in frame that the world felt a little more comforting to her. Skeletal forms writhed and squirmed, a squealing and angry god-child wrapped firmly within her talons ripe with gluttony. Ashes rained eternally from a glaring red sky, from the devastation raked across the land of Kinoss, the heat in the air kissing her throat and branding her eyes. Her instincts crooned lovingly in her ear in a deafening hymn, her tendrils wrapping tighter around the surviving victim, her heart burning burning BURNING!

"Your kind never seem to learn, do they?" A warm, strange voice mused from behind her helm. The bizarre, strange accent of the creature rather heavy and unrefined as the tendril gripping the god-worshipper clenched ever-so tighter. "Be still mouse, Dima will have what she needs soon enough." The alien hissed, another tendril leaning towards the back of the squirming humanoids skull as they were squeezed tightly by that coiling tail.

The thrill of the hunt still felt heavy to her, even now. It had left behind a terrible itching in her very bones, a bleeding fissure in her heart that threatened to spread with each heaving breath as those sharp, alien pupils dilated tightly from behind the visor of her mandalorian helmet. Suddenly, the sharp, crystal bone ejected from the opening talons, the tendrils lashing tongues spilling out alongside it as the exotic lifeform suddenly jammed the blade directly into the base of her victims skull. Tongues pushing into the wound to directly link Dimas mind and consciousness with the now paralyzed and convulsing humanoid trapped within her coiling death grip.

In the end, the pendulum still swung, and time continued to move on. It was inexorable. It would not pause for her. It would not go back or reset and return things back to the way they'd once been, to the way she'd like it. She had to be strong now. She had to look forward. There was no going back now, the only path that was left for her now was straight ahead. She wasn't doing this for herself, after all. And if you wanted to shape the world around you you had to get your hands dirty, right?

And as the link was established, Dimas mind shimmered and shifted as the creature searched the memories and experiences of her victim, the collection of dismembered corpses scattering the earth at her feet and the smoke from the burning temple filling her lungs as the poor lifeform was devoured and assimilated by the alien Mandalorian. Seeking key information that would aid the mysterious lifeform in its pursuits while possibly seeing something that would, to some, be best left unseen.

Getting ever closer~

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
There were several things people were not supposed to do on the world of Kinoss, things even the unusual intermediary sorts of people had chosen to follow, and one of them was to cause any harm to infrastructure or the lives of the citizens of Kinoss, whether they were devoted servants of Onrai or not. And someone had just violated that in a wide variety of ways.

The reaction would be rather swift.

Through a hole in the temple roof courtesy of the damage caused by Dima, a massive multibillion volt strike of lightning arced down, seeking to strike the inhuman humanoid directly as she was the most conductive object in the room. Even if it failed to hit her, being a mere meter or two away from a lightning strike would likely shake up the entity in question.

When the flash of the lightning strike dissipated, Onrai was there, shadowed form with far more distinct physical features than she normally possessed. Milky white eyes looked out from black sockets that very much had more distinct features like angered brows, a nose somewhat wrinkled in frustration, and lips curled in hatred and disgust. There was no shadows slithering from the darkness, no stepping in through a rift - she was not there, and now she was here.

And she was pissed.

“You come to my planet. You don’t even have the courtesy to announce your arrival. And you choose to slaughter my worshippers. I don’t know what exactly it is that you are, or what your reasons are for coming, but this will not be tolerated. The wrath of Onrai has come upon you.” She said.

Screaming, screaming ever louder, ever growing and swelling as schizoid madness and overwhelming tragedy seemed to rile and coil the xenos mind as the cultist in her grip had its consciousness assimilated and completely absorbed as the armored alien stood there quietly, chittering lowly as the process took its course and her main senses dulled and faded to static, the Xeno tending to be rather vulnerable during this strange process as dark clouds formed in the skies overhead the now ruined temple.

And suddenly, like a sword slashing through the sky to smite its enemies a flash of light vaporized the air directly beside the feet of the alien as electrical energy traveled through her entire core and the blast separated the victim from her grip as the Mandalorian was tossed into the air and smashed into the ground harshly while rolling and tumbling several feet and slamming onto her chest with the visor of her helm slamming directly into the floor. Static rippling across the metal of her armor and absorbing some of the electrical voltage sent rippling through the air in the sudden blast.

"You come to my planet. You don't even have the courtesy to announce your arrival. And you choose to slaughter my worshippers. I don't know what exactly it is that you are, or what your reasons are for coming, but this will not be tolerated. The wrath of Onrai has come upon you." A warbled, fuzzy voice filled the air.

The dazed, stunned xeno laid on the floor almost lifelessly, her eyes all swirling and her core rebooting as the lightning strike to her core during assimilation had struck the lifeform in one of the rare moments where it was vulnerable, the process of absorbing another creature delicate and being interrupted having rather adverse effects as the first sign of reactivation came from Dimas tail. Going from locked up and squirming from the strike to suddenly regaining function, lifting into the air almost like a sentient creature the pointed, barbed end swayed and aimed like a serpent if its head was a scorpions tail. The next to recover were her tendrils, those massive limbs all stomping into the floor and flexing with a newfound strength as the electrical voltage began passing through her body and energizing her muscles as Dima was lifted into the air, dangling there and bringing her stirring eyes to focus on the screaming creature.

"Mmnf, oohhhhh, owwwww Dimas head!" She complained, lifting a hand and touching her helm, shaking her head free of the fuzz and looking up at the open sky the lightning had come from before looking back at the strange, ethereal creature before her. "Oh, its just another godling. Your magic tricks will never fail to amuse Dima~" She mused, flexing her claws and regaining what all she was just doing before she was so rudely interrupted. "Why did you strike Dima when she was eating! Not very honorable of you~" Dima asked, rather seriously in fact. Completely missing the whole dramatic entrance and what the entity had even said, only knowing when she looked up there was a rather scary looking ghost looking very angry with the Xeno.

"Mmm...you don't look like a godling Dima can devour~" The netherchild stated, noticing that the godling, while there, did not appear to have any physical anatomy that the Xeno could detect with her multi visioned eyes.
"How disappointing..."

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
Onrai raised an eyebrow. Another godling? So this creature had encountered others like her before? Perhaps she was one of the monstrosities released from the damage Solipsis had done to the boundaries of reality. If that were the case, it meant she was incredibly dangerous to the entire planet and needed to be destroyed or incapacitated as quickly as possible. Whatever she was, she was very clearly a physical entity of some sort, even if her Force-dead nature made her difficult to detect. Onrai's hands reached within her figure and withdrew a rad-rifle, which was quickly aimed at Dima's head and fired with no comments or other dialogue given.

Maybe a little bit of radiation would change the circumstances.

The xenos collection of eyes shifted and scanned as the mysterious godling withdrew what the alien clearly perceived to be a blaster of sorts, the muscles in her tendrils quickly reaching and aiming themselves off to the side as the entity took aim and quickly went for a shot towards Dimas head. Immediately, the body of the mandalorian was yanked through the air at the frighteningly blinding pace, those alien tendrils carried her out of the line of fire and in a jerky, serpentine motion back and forth, up and down against the walls and back onto the floor again as Dimas wits came back to her.

The memories assimilated from the cultist now painting a vivid picture of their god, who at the moment appeared to be attempting to shoot the creature with some nonsensical weapon meant for the flimsy and frail fleshlings. The xeno chittered, those tendrils talons extending their reach and aiming itself at the rifle shooting and the tendrils choked and spat up a heavy threaded net of cerulean silk directly at the weapon to not only catch the blast that were shot, the silk having extremely exotic properties of its own much like the biology of Dima herself, the silk would hopefully attach itself to the weapon, clinging to it and jamming its functions and clogging its barrel.

And after the net was shot, the tendril that had done so went back to latching onto walls and the ceiling to maneuver the xeno throughout the temple at frightening speeds. Another tendril choking up hardened, crystallized threads of silk as sharp, piercing crystals that suddenly and violently ejected from her tendrils at an extremely high velocity like natural produced crystal needle slugs spat in a collection like a shotguns spread directly at the entity who had struck her with lightning.

Audible, alien hissing and chittering could be heard from the helms filter, the eldritch lifeform suddenly moving from the floor and walls up and higher onto the ceiling and those tendrils spitting nets and threads of silk all over the temple around them randomly for no rhyme of reason, only to suddenly start using the spun silk to travel between and latch onto like a spider waiting in its vast web as dima let out a loud, feral screech at the forceborn entity.

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
Onrai's response to the expulsion of the silk towards the weapon was to simply strike it with the buttstock of the weapon, causing the silk to wrap around it as opposed to clogging the barrel of the gun. The sticky weapon disappeared back within the essence of the goddess as her presence grew more shadowed, the crystals striking the ground in question. Onrai audibly laughed in response as she withdrew a cluster of ball bearings, holding them in her hand.

And another Onrai did.

And another.

More avatars began to coalesce from the shadows of the ruined temple, handfuls of ball bearings in their hands. At a signal, they threw a cloud of the ball bearings up almost in unison before a potent wave of energy flung the swarm of ball bearings at the Mandalorian abomination at breakneck speed.

She needed to start breaking down the armor.
