Description:
Outwardly the Glove, or technically gauntlet, is a simple black Mandalorian Crushgaunt, made famous for being the right hand of Darth Vader. It was used for iconography of the ancient 501st Legion and a long standing symbol of fear and power during the reign of the Galactic Empire under Emperor Palpatine.
The Crushgaunt is however unique in its construction. Where or how Emperor Palpatine had access to a Beskar Smith, the history books are unsure of, but the fact remains they were most likely crafted either just before or during the Fall of the Old Republic. The crushgaunt was constructed around one of the ancient, supposedly indestructible, Sith Amulets made by former Dark Lord of the Sith, Skere Kaan. While nothing is truly indestructible, this item did survive the blast from the destruction of the Death Star, seemingly unmarked.
This particular amulet is embedded in the back of the glove and enhances defensive skills, such as Tutaminis and Deflection, allowing the user to easily swat aside Blaster Bolts and deflect Lightsaber strikes through the use of the Glove. As displayed by the Dark Lord of the time, he was able to effortlessly deflect and dissipate blaster bolts on several occasions using its defensive properties. With normal Crushgaunts able to catch lightsaber blades for a short time, this glove will survive unmarked from the blade, the wearer’s hand however may not. While this is useful, it does require some knowledge of those skills in order to be effective.
The Grip-Augmentation Circuitry is used, making the aspects of the crushgaunts offensive abilities even more powerful. With Crushgaunts being known to shatter bones, metal, and duracrete with relative ease, the Grip-Augmentation incorporated in this unique glove enhances this quality noticeably.
