INTERNAL DEFENSES
The Gauntlet's Off possess a number of anti-boarding procedures:
- Twenty recessing immobile twin-mounted Hyperion Squad Automatic Weapon and ACS-202 Vanquisher Light Repeating Blaster turrets in the ceilings of major corridors (such as the executive suite and bridge), programmed with Mandal Hypernautics Automated Gun Platform.
- High-density duranium blast doors with reinforced bulkheads
- Twenty TA4 Ultra Battle Droids outfitted with Icon-class personal Energy Shields, on stand-by mode in alcoves throughout the ship, such as the reactor, bridge, or executive suite, and activated when the defense turrets are triggered.
- Room-dedicated ray shields with individual power generators
There is an Executive Suite that consists of three main rooms, a personal refresher, and a recreation room. The main rooms holds a variety of comforts, with a foyer with various domestic furnishings, and a bedroom attached to the full sized luxury refresher, complete with a relax-bed. The last of the main rooms serves as an office, with a communications suite, desk, and data-terminal. The recreation room features a concealable jetstream meditation pool, a billiards table, as well as various games acquired to Triam's taste. Four Luxury Protocol Droids roam these rooms to act as servants to Triam and her family aboard her vessel, for a maximum of comfort protocols.
However, there is also one other particularly interesting point of interest on the ship, and that is the junction that connects to Triam's other vessel. That other vessel of course is the Junk'd Up Ship, an old YT-1300 Light Freighter she has been caring around her entire adult life and career. The small freighter is almost literally joined at the hip with the Corvette, hitching a ride on the luxury escape vessel like an old dried up leech. Inside however, it carriers one extra member of Triam Akovin's crew, Rigsy, a manufacturing assembly plant all on the droids lonesome self, which has been deactivated into low power mode for years... until Triam saw to it that she found herself right back into the mess of things in the big ol' galaxy. Firing up her old snarky droid, the lights are beginning to be turned back on in this old messy workshop of hers, littered with a thousand scrapped pieces of projects she has worked on over the years.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
For years Triam only has one ship, the Junk'd Up Ship. Named so for her horrendous piloting skills scarring the old bird more times than she had hands to count with, and that's including her current crewmates hands. Then one day she sold a great deal of valuable and rare ores at an auction house, and was pleasantly surprised by the showering of rewards she received from her buyers, one of which was of course the ship that would become The Gauntlet's Off. Not one to let go of old things however, Triam never parted with her old ship despite the much better and more relaxing corvette (even as far as deliberately choosing her old ship for nostalgic comfort, than the luxuries afforded by the glorified yacht). Inevitably, as Triam became more and more recluse due to her motherhood, she docked her old freighter to her new Corvette... and it became almost as a permanent fixture on the outside of the ships hull, only undocking to transport the family to worlds they stopped by for supplies and fuel.
Now, the two ships may as well be the same ship, serving the same purpose as the mobile headquarters of Triam's new workshop business, looking for any custom orders and almost completely ignoring the calls of mass production. That sort of competition was for young tech titans trying to claw to the top. Triam already knew she was the top, and didn't feel like clawing for it, so she'd settle for the more personal niche of fulfilling individual desires... individuals she could read, judge, and trust more than selling to anyone anonymously through a corporate face.
For the first time in a long time, Triam would feel at home in her own ship, in total control of her skills and talents as she traveled her route across the galaxy.
