Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
Mira Rekali

Establishment of the temple of Onrai on Nathema was nearly complete. Soon, Vanessa would be more than capable of effectively receiving the worship of and granting the requests of her supplicants, as any true deity would be able to do. For now, however, she remained on board the Nathema Orbital Complex. Her disappointment with @Dea’s willingness to aid those individuals who had sought to steal her Star Destroyer was immeasurably disappointing, but such a discussion would happen later. For now, she had only to focus on recovering from the massive drain of raw life force energy she had exuded. She had at least somewhat recovered through the consumption of residual energy contained within the Nathema obelisk she had been responsible for constructing, but needed to find a means of more effectively feeding that would not potentially risk the lives of her supplicants.

Perhaps she could give those of the Cult of the Void precisely what it was they deserved and desired: death. After all, the Charon had been responsible for eliminating almost all traces of the species the primordial entities had created from the void of Otherspace. They populated it innumerably and Vanessa had no issues with their demise given the threat they generated were they to ever successfully enter realspace in larger numbers.

For now, though, there were other things to think of. Perhaps someone needed her assistance - she had provided aid to so many, after all. What would another do?

Her lust for the hunt was not sated by being disconnected from the Force, one could say that her current state actually exacerbated it. Mira had gone through the files of her grandfather, and discovered a name - Vanessa Vantai. She was rumoured to be unorthodox, and was a very well known practitioner of the dark side of the Force. There was a connection between her and the thing that suppressed Mira from the Force. The grinding of her armor plates echoed through the empty corridor, a dim ray of light would cast a glint off her darkened armor as she strode into the open room, calling out into the darkness beyond.

“Vantai, make yourself known!” She yelled loudly, her voice being amplified by the microphone in her buy’ce.

The night vision filter flickered on and off as Mira reached up and tapped the side of her helmet, ceasing the back and forth. Her crimson eyes blinked softly, as she waited for the Sith Lord to make her appearance. Despite for their hatred of the Sith, there were some which were useful - in essence, desperate times called for desperate measures.

A sigh seemed to resonate through the void of the room Mira stood in as the shadows of the room seemed to coalesce within it, wrapping around one another until the corrupted form of the Sith Lord turned goddess arose from the center of the room. She raised an eyebrow at the woman who stood upon her complex, deciding to call her out. It was rather obvious the woman was a Mandalorian, and judging from the hatred in her voice, Vanessa presumed she was one of the Mandalorians that had been betrayed by the Sith Empire. That said, she did not recall Mira as having been one of the Mandalorians in question.

Curious.

"Oh, what have we here? A Mandalorian? And you've gotten bold enough to come to my home and demand I appear before you." Her fingers crackled. "What can Onrai do for you, miss..." She was unsure of the woman's name.

“No, Mandalore and it’s people abandoned me in my time of need. I am Mira Rekali, daughter of Aaralyn Rekali and granddaughter to Ember Rekali.” She gestured towards Vanessa. “I am most certain you know Ember.” Mira retracted her armored hand before gazing about the room once more, trying to get an understanding of what lay beyond in the darkness. A sigh escaped her lips as she gently removed her buy’ce and turned back to the entity.

“I come here seeking your assistance…” Mira took a knee before the woman-like figure. “And for your help, I pledge to aid you, when you need it most.” She was not ignorant to the fact that Vanessa might be powerful, but there will come a time when she needs the assistance of Mira, or the Rekali family.

That was most certain.

"As expected." She said. "Loyalty means so little to many people within the galaxy, even those who claim to pursue it with honor. I, on the other hand, am not one to so quickly forget loyalty and devotion." The woman's explanation of her identity certainly clarified things. It had been over thirty years since she had last seen Ember, who she recalled as dead given she had heard stories of his spirit's presence in the Netherworld. "You would be correct in that I knew Ember. Though we hadn't seen each other for thirty years, likely more, by now." She thought for a bit. "You want my assistance with a problem. An ailment of some sort, presumably physical. Tell me more - I'm more a supporter of a favor than a simple pledge of aid - there is much I already have."

Perhaps Mira could be persuaded to join the cult of Onrai.
