PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: Helfast Steelworks
  • Affiliation: Roan Helfast
  • Market Status: Open-Market
  • Model: MURA
  • Modularity: The scabbard's ceramic discs are meant to be changed out after a month of regular use. A number of gas canister formats can be loaded into the scabbard.
  • Production: Semi-Unique
  • Material: CP90 Durasteel, Mirrsteel, sonic generator, mineral sands and organic material (to aid in alloying), concussion rifle components, magnetic lock, ceramic sharpening dics.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Vibrosword
  • Size: Average
  • Weight: Very Heavy (Sword & Scabbard) Heavy (Sword Only)
  • Ammunition: Gas canister, ceramic buff disc.

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Mirrsteel Alloy: Due to the inclusion of this famous construction metal in the blade, this sword can withstand an enormous amount of shearing force.

STRENGTHS
  • Lessons of Masters: This sword was forged using the secret metallurgy techniques of the Helfast family. Its alloy contains more than simply steel...
  • Labor of Diligence: Forged by hand over several days, this sword is not a product of mass-construction. The craftsmanship is meticulous, every iota inspected for error.
  • Best of Two Steels: A combination of lighter CP90 and denser Mirrsteel, this sword could quite literally survive an orbital bombardment.... with a little luck. Nigh indestructible.
  • Quickdraw: The complimentary Staccato scabbard is powered by a gas canister, and can accelerate the sword out of the scabbard with tremendous force and speed.
WEAKNESSES
  • A Death by Sound: The Mirrsteel in this sword's alloy will only briefly protect it from a direct sonic attack while the sonic generator is active. After 15 seconds at most, the sword is history.
  • Hang on Tight: The accelerating scabbard packs quite a punch, and even an experienced swordsman who's never used it would likely be caught off guard. The learning curve for safely using the Quickdraw mechanism is exceedingly high.
  • A Heavy Heart....: While greatly increasing the blade's hardness, the Forzano's use of Mirrsteel also means the sword is a good deal heavier than one might expect. Coupled with the hefty oversized Staccato scabbard and magnetic security lock, this package is much heftier than your average longsword.
  • and Brittle Bones: Due to the Forzano's incredible hardness, the sword does not hold an edge very well. The Staccato scabbard combats this problem using 5 ceramic sharpeners which activate every time the Forzano is stored away. Replacing these discs every month or so, while not expensive or difficult, is time-consuming and annoying.

DESCRIPTION
The Forzano is a sword made to do one thing: fly from its scabbard, delivering death on the first strike. It was the idea of a lightning-fast longsword quickdraw that first inspired the idea behind this high-skill weapon. Time and again while crafting the first of these weapons, Roan questioned whether any of the added effort was worth fulfilling his dream. The bulky Staccato scabbard needed perfectly balanced and seated flywheels that would eject the blade with 100% reliability. The scabbard also required a reinforced suspended sheath to withstand the sword's sonic generator running while the sword was still inside.

And then there was the sword itself! A blade of sturdy enough construction to survive the launch force of the scabbard over and over? Forget the actual blade, the sword's sonic generator and assembly would also be bearing the weight of each launch! And when the boy had finally perfected an alloy that suited these needs, the resulting sword was so brittle that the entire scabbard had to be stripped down to a concept in order to incorporate automatic (and modular!) ceramic sharpeners.

Destiny is often mistaken to be the time and place where one would be in perfect harmony as they are. But nothing could be further from the truth. Destiny is where one is meant to be, regardless of how that location suits their current needs and intricacies. It can be frustrating when one's pursuit of a dream they saw so clearly seems to be fraught with nothing but slime pits and gundarks. But in the end, the path we take towards our dreams shapes us, molds us, fires us in the hellish forge only to quench us in the freezing torrent until we're certain our lungs will burst. And at the end of it all, we find that we are not only where we were always meant to be, but we are who was always meant to stand there.

Nearly 2 standard years after the original drafts for the Forzano-Staccato were drawn up, Roan Helfast performed a sword-cut so fast that his entire family of trained keen-eyed warriors could not follow the movement of his arm. He sheered a block of solid plasteel in half with one perfect swing, looked up and the sky, and screamed in triumph.

Issues.

Link the bio please.

  • A Student's Pride: Serving as an early proof of concept, these swords were made by Roan Helfast in his adolescence. Some may be more perfect in their make and form than others.
  • A Rare Discovery: The Forzano swords and their scabbards were made by hand, one at a time, by a student smith. Fewer than 10 were ever made. Finding one now would be a challenge.
These are not weaknesses, these just need to be put in the description. Remove them.

Add also the sonic generator please in the Special Features.

Let me know when you do these.

The Forzano-Staccato's classification is "Vibrosword." All vibroweapons must feature a device (called a sonic generator or vibro-generator) that actually causes the ultrasonic vibrations in the blade. Given that this is a standard and necessary component for any weapon of its type, I am unsure of why it would be included in Special Features. Please advise. Reference.
