Strengths:
Highly Fast: The Mantis Star Fighter is incredibly fast.
Emergency Protocols: The Mantis Star Fighter can still work even if the main computer is disabled, Ultimatum takes control.
Weaknesses:
Slicers: Slicers could take control of the droid brain, and override the Fighter. Forcing Ultimatum to override the system.
EMPs: Emps could disable the droid brain and most of the circuitry. Ultimatum would then have to move to repair the ship.
Firepower: It isn't the most heavily armed fighter out there.
Description:
The "Mantis" Star Fighter was produced by Warren in an attempt to make some credits. This comes with a biometric locking mechanism that evaluates 6 traits of the person piloting it, and scans for them or other authorized individuals, such as technicians, or backup pilots. A droid brain has been built in that acts as a sort of auto pilot system should the pilot be disabled, or drunk. To ascertain if the pilot was drunk, or injured too badly to fly, a medical scanner has been built into the fighter. On the outside, the weapons, and what not are all based off of a Y-Wing. An override app has been built in that can make the fighter fly back to the owner's ship and get in and then shut down, temporarily. The Mantis Star Fighter also comes with a hidden explosive in it that can be activated, should the override app be disabled, and it is powerful enough to explode the ship.
After Ultimatum bought the design from Warren the droid planned for the creation of his own ship. Until recently, this was little more than a wistful dream. After taking over Mustafar more resources were open to him and he was able to work with locals to have the ship built. He had slight alterations to the basic design to make it more usable for himself. He had a small compartment built on the top of the ship and slightly back of the cockpit. This compartment was specifically built for Ultimatum's body and was meant to house it and allow him to connect to the droid brain that controlled the ship. The cockpit was left in case Ultimatum decided to take a passenger. Also the explosive hidden within the ship was removed for safety reasons. Ultimatum had a connection built so that he could control the ship in the case of the droid being shut down. He also switched around the priority of who commands the ship, so that the droid brain normally controls and that a pilot in the cockpit only gets control if Ultimatum allows or is unable to command the vessel.
