Public The Foreign Legion Needs You!

The Golden Covenant Needs You!

Are you a soldier, grunt, or officer with Imperial aspirations? Are you a warrior at heart, sick of idle guard duty or playing the role of a glorified babysitter?
Make your life and your legacy count, and enlist in the Imperial Foreign Legion today!

We are seasoned warriors, veterans, and battle-hardened professionals drawn from every corner of the Galaxy. And why, you might wonder? To heed the summons of Lord Nwul, the Steward of the Darkside. His summons: to unify Sith and non-Sith, force-sensitive and non-force-sensitive alike. To stand shoulder to shoulder, as equals. To witness a new Empire rise from the ashes. In the words of our esteemed founder:

The Covenant is a promise. It is a pact between the Sith Lords and the people of the Empire. The Empire will restore its culture, solidify its values, and spread its borders once more across the galaxy.
~ Lord Nwul, Steward of the Darkside
The Imperial Foreign Legion was established by General Muss Noren as a means for outsiders to align themselves with the Golden Covenant, and to field a Legion of battle-hardened light infantry to further the Covenant's Imperial objectives. Tens of thousands of veterans answered the call of Lord Nwul and Muss Noren, converging on Thule, each one bringing with them every available piece of equipment, armor, and weapon, provided it wasn't welded to the floor. While they may lack the resources for ornate armor or the glamour and prestige of more established units, but this ragtag unit makes up for it in sheer determination and brutal efficiency They strive to demonstrate to both the Sith and the Covenant that they belong just as much as anyone else.

-- This rough around the edges unit needs you! --

We need more characters to fill out the various roles in the Legion. With the upcoming military campaign planned, the Legion will be spearheading the Covenant's ground forces and will have heaps of epic story arc and roleplay potential. I'm looking for characters to plot with to make the Legion the pride of Lord Nwul and the Empire.

I'm always down to hear people's ideas, but here are some suggestions to spark your imagination:

Foreign Legion Special Forces - 'The Devil's Own'

Someone had the idea of assembling the boldest, meanest, toughest, and most merciless soldiers under one banner: thus, 'The Devil's Own' came into being. They're sent where no sane soldier would go, to accomplish what no sane soldier would try. When the Golden Covenant calls for a 'Hail Mary,' it's these relentless individuals that the Legion deploys. Currently, there's little in the way of formal structure, just an appointed leader and a handful of battle-hungry zealots eager to distinguish themselves on the battlefield.

Military Commanders and Staff Officers
The Legion needs experienced ambitious Officers. Everything from Generals to command Divisions to Captains and Lieutenants to lead platoons and companies. I'm in the process of creating the organizational structure so this is totally open for you to create your own ragtag unit. There will be both military and political RP possibilities as the senior officers navigate the turbulent ever-changing environment of the Golden Covenant.

Spies and Assassins for the Legion's Military Intelligence Unit
It wasn't only soldiers that answered General Noren's call. Intelligence Operators were amongst those who arrive in Thule. Seeing that the Golden Covenant lacked an organised and loyal Intelligence agency, he formed a small unit to conduct espionage operations. The Legion might be loyal to Lord Nwul and the Covenant's aims, that doesn't mean everyone else is. Lots of opportunities for spies and assassins as the Covenant seeks to establish itself as the ruling faction within the Sith.

Dark Jedi and Sith Attaché's
Lord Nwul's vision is to see both force users and non-force users fighting side by side. The Legion wants to foster that sentiment by allowing force users to join units to better coordinate and facilitate cooperation. One of the key tenets of the Legion is merit-based promotion, so no Sith will hold a position that it did not earn. However, General Noren has invited and encouraged force users to join the ranks holding positions within units to foster these bonds.

Note: This is totally open for people to add their own touches. Basically, I've just thrown some ideas together. Here's the link to the Legion's Codex page.

So, where would time-displaced ancient Korribani Academy battlemasters fit into this?

A Sith Pureblood, Nwul would be overjoyed to even meet her, he based the Golden Covenant on many aspects of the Sith Pureblood period's empire.

All sorts of plot opportunities within either the Legion or the Golden Covenant itself. Don't want to take away from Muss Noren Muss Noren 's legion recruitment thread, but here are some thoughts.

The Foreign Legion is likely in need of soldiers and warriors to support the growing force and become officers and the like.
As a part of the Golden Covenant, joining the legion may get you access to meeting some of the upper echelons of the Political Bloc, including the leader, Prophet Nwul, Darth Xyrah Darth Xyrah , Darth Malum of House Marr Darth Malum of House Marr , etc. Nwul is forming an order of imperial knights kind of like a royal guard as well as simply helping expand the groups influence within the Sith Order as a whole. You could be a trainer for Sith, A Lord eventually in your own right, or a warrior reveling on the battlefield.

HMU on discord! I'm 'Webby' on the main SWRP channel.

You're welcome to join the legion if your interested in leading and fighting alongside the ground forces. Or if that's not your sort of thing then the Imperial Knights might be a better fit.
