Maneuverability: 3

Speed Rating: 3

Hyperdrive Class: .6

Strengths:
  • Speed: Like most light freighters the Firebrand is strong in outrunning anything bigger than a medium freighter, since Lok sometimes does smuggling jobs.
  • Stealth: The nightshadow, the transponder falsifier, and the low probability of intercept radar components are used to bypass sensors and screw around with them.
Weaknesses:
  • Armaments: In comparison of its class the freighter carries less weapons than it should have. There must also be gunners manning the turret cannons of the ship, otherwise they are pretty useless.
  • Uniqueness: It's a one of a kind model and while it does screw up sensors it doesn't mean that people won't forget its looks.
  • Engines: The engines are the weak point of the freighter and enough fire concentration can destroy/disable them.
Description: Searching around the marketplace for a caliber ship of his liking Lok asked his adoptive father, Vilaz, to place a custom order for him. As the boy was in love with speedy freighters he made sure that his personal vessel was fast enough to outrun blockades and some similar freighters of its class with an armament that is very low-grade (in quantity, not quality) in order to optimize the velocity of it.

While the speed of the Firebrand gives its personality some of the internal systems and components make it stealthy, another great factor of it. Thanks to the nightshadow-coat, the transponder falsifier, and the low probability of intercept radar it can bypass most radars and sensors while smuggling illegal goods. The rest of the internal is like any other modern freighter is suppose to have: med bay, advanced shield generators, a standard life support system, communications array, holonet, etc. It also has a landing claw which can grapple and land on big ships and big objects.

While speed and stealth is the game of this ship, fighting isn't. The armaments do help to fend off a squadron of fighters, but it will, most likely, be overwhelmed when face 2-3 squadrons unless allies are around to help out against overwhelming odds.

Cargo capacity: 100 metric tons

Passenger capacity: 6

*The defense and armament rating system is a new thing for me, so I'm not sure if this is the accurate number for the defense and armament systems the ship has.

All right, here's what I'm seeing.
  • This sucker is really fast.
  • That's such a mild stealth suite I don't even see it as a stealth suite at all. Sensor-blocking smuggling compartments, LPIR, and false telesponders? Zero problems here.
  • Your 'Cannons' weakness only really counts if there's an actual time penalty attached.
  • Your 'Armaments' weakness...ehh, a rating of 8 isn't really a major weakness.
  • Your 'Uniqueness' weakness is nice, but it's not enough to balance out engines that good, not without dev.
Adjust the whole picture as you see fit, tag me, and then we'll revisit whether dev's needed or not.
