The Final Thread of Iella E'ron

Hello everyone.

As you can imagine this is a strange post for me to write. Iella was my first character on these boards and I love her dearly. However, it is time for her story to finish. In a couple more posts in this thread: http://starwarsrp.net/topic/49514-and-the-white-dragon-roared-kaine/

She will be dead. No easy way to say it. However, that is not necessarily the end of her entirely. She has the ability to come back as she has learn the lessons from the Priestesses after going through the test of the Five. But I will only RP her very little.

This is for those that wish to sense her death when the time comes. Kaine has been brilliant throughout all this, we have discussed this thread over months actually, and he a very fun writer.

So, that leads me into another topic. We will need a new Grand Master and leader of the Silvers. I have been in discussion with the other faction admins to decide the best way to do this. The conclusion is that we will allow the faction to vote on the new GM.

It will work by you nominating a Master of the Order, here in this thread. Please give the name and short paragraph as to why you think they would be the best for the role. After we have the names, I will put up a poll to the faction to vote.

I want to thank you all for being with the SJs through the entire time of its inception. Some of you are new here but that means little by way of considering you a very important part of us.

Well. Clearly I have one person who I feel will do Grandmaster of the Silver Jedi justice in mind:

Working beside her for years in the Silver Jedi, she has thrown herself into danger to protect others and maintain the survival of the Order. I've known her the longest and can only stand by her, because without Coci, Connor would lose more than he dare admit. While she is soon due to welcome a family of her own, this only means that she knows the importance of family; something the Silver Jedi is and needs to be seen as, and Coci Sinopi has the determination, the strength and the resolve to be Grandmaster and use her inimitable personality for others to stand behind.

However, I should have put this in my post but Coci will not be allow to run for GM. I don't believe she is ready for such an office and besides I think it is time for someone else to have the fun of running a faction.

The man who pulled me back from god knows what sort of life years ago, and has been a rock to not just me but probably every other lost Silver in times of need. Selfless, righteous, caring and brave. Makes me queasy actually how decent this warrior is. And in that respect, who better to care for a family not just of his own, but also that of loveable rogues and fool-hardy Jedi such as us.

I would like to nominate [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] as Grand Master.

In one form or another I have role played with Thurion for a fair time now. Firstly with Iella and of course Coci. He is what I would consider a Jedi to be. Selfless, forgiving, strong in will to do only good and one hell of a guy. Thurion is played in my opinion as the pinnacle of what it is to be Jedi. He is a true defender in all senses of the word, and a guardian of the lightside.

I would suggest in real time. Meaning as it happens, now or in soon haha. I don't think we need to back date it even though this thread has been going for a little while. The event has thrown out thread across the place I think it would be easier for everyone if it is sensed, by the end of the thread. Because in essence she is not dead yet.

I'm sorry to hear that I'ella is going to die, death of a long time character is heart wrenching.

I will say one thing though, in all the times I have contacted Thurion as an Admin he has always been helpful and patient with me.

Though seriously, they both are good leaders in their own right. And its no doubt you can trust them with taking over what you left them and bringing nothing but positivity to it.

I have already said my nomination. I want you in charge still if anything you are more respected ooc wise then me and that goes a lot more then anything. Matsu or Saki taking over would have everyone treating the faction like a joke.

then I don't know because Rasu is gone, Sochi went back to the republic, Aika is busy and I just plain don't want to endanger any progress we have because of ooc bs. Thurion most likely could but he is running the Sanctum I believe plus an admin, Connor would be the next best thing maybe.

I never returned to the Republic. I just aided in the invasion. Though i'm on good terms with everyone.

Though I agree, Thurion does have quite a bit on his hands at the moment. Connor would be the next best thing, seeing as how even if I were up for nomination Ru won't be around long enough to lead.

I have spoken to [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] about this. I shall let him speak on this himself. If he is willing to take on the responsibility I don't see the problem.

I had also mentioned that a rank of Master of the Order be instated, for this reason. A 2IC to help out.

I wish to extend a big thank you to everyone and your kind words. I will try my best at picking up the mantle of our former leader and mother of our organisation. She will be missed dearly.

I have never been in a leadership position of this magnitude before, despite what my Administrator title might suggest. Site maintenance is a whole other thing compared to being a leader both OOC and IC, especially for a major faction. [member="Iella E'ron"] pulled it off to the letter, keeping us going in the right direction rather than exercise authority. I will take her teachings to heart and can only hope I'll do a good job doing it.

Thank you all, again. I will post the official announcement soon enough, at which point I will officially take over as Grand Master of the Order of the Silver Jedi.
