Katherine Holt
"Hmph," Del muttered when Katherine confirmed she was a warrior. It made perfect sense. She couldn't imagine this winged woman sitting through a dry committee meeting, though on a planet like Naboo, royalty seemed to turn up in the most unexpected places.
When Katherine suggested a mind could be just as formidable as a blade, Del's eyebrows furrowed. She considered her own intellect, which usually left her peers far behind in the classroom.
"I suppose that is true in a library," Del admitted. "My mind is quite formidable against the other Padawans during study, but it doesn't help me much when I am in a spar against a Trandoshan Padawan." She looked at Katherine's powerful frame again and felt that familiar feeling of longing. "I am envious. I wish I could be as strong as you seem."
The invitation to walk and talk sent a surge of relief through Del. She wasn't being dismissed. "Oh yes! Let's walk," she said, immediately falling into step. She had to move with a slight hop, taking twice as many steps just to keep pace with Katherine's longer stride.
When Katherine mentioned not having a home for a long time, Del looked up at her with genuine confusion. "You have to have a home. Somewhere you feel safe."
The topic of At Attin, however, brought the light back into Del's eyes. She practically glowed with pride as they moved through the exhibition. "At Attin is where I feel safe and seen. It is beautiful, and we prioritize education. We believe in being the best version of ourselves."
She slowed her pace slightly, her expression turning uncharacteristically soft. "I miss it sometimes, but I want to challenge myself as a Jedi. I want to help people."
She looked up at the warrior beside her, her blunt curiosity returning. "Do you help people?"
