GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Organization Name: The Eriaduan Authority
  • Classification: Political State
  • Loyalties: Lord Admiral Verrin Traske
  • Organization Symbol: Here
  • Description: The Eriaduan Authority serves as the government body of the planet Eriadu and its namesake system. As the Sith Empire enacted their endgame upon the Galactic Alliance and the Core Worlds, Eriadu broke away and under the leadership of its new Lord Admiral, chose to take its own path as a now fiercely-independent state. While the state currently recovers from the leadership vacuum and struggle which took place in the aftermath of the Galactic Alliance's fall and the disappearance of its heir-apparent, Aryn Teth, it has begun to make itself known once more in galactic politics. Led by the new Lord Admiral Verrin Traske, the Eriaduan Authority works to develop its naval and ship-building capabilities, while still struggling to curb and silence unrest within its borders surrounding the efforts of the new Lord Admiral to consolidate power.

SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Hierarchy:
    Lord Admiral
  • Royal Family
  • The Ruling Houses

[*]Membership: By law, Eriaduan citizenship is only granted to those born on planets in the Eriadu system, or those who marry into an Eriaduan family. There are numerous restrictions on any others vising Eriaduan worlds, and those looking to move to Eriadu or to other worlds in the system must have the express permission and sponsorship of the head of one of the four ruling houses of Eriadu.
[*]Influence: The Eriaduan Authority has limited political power outside of the Eriadu system, but it is able to project at least some degree of its power throughout the Seswenna sector, as a result of its significant naval strength. With the decimation of major shipyards around Kuat and Fondor, the Eriaduan Authority has gone to great efforts to develop and increase its influence as a shipbuilder, furthering its position as a naval state.
[*]Climate: The Eriaduan people carry themselves with pride and dignity. A people of strong principles, the Eriaduan people are known to hold a grudge, and much of their society revolves around a strong hatred of the former Galactic Empire and other Imperial states for previous assaults on its territory and the government it once held allegiance towards. The Eriaduans carry themselves with resolve and experience, though often carry with them a deep-seated anxiety over the place of their home in this new galaxy of Imperial dominance.
[*]Reputation: Despite their strong distaste for Empires, Eriadu's people are often seen as among the closest people can get to Imperials outside of the First Order or the Sith Empire. The Eriaduan people value discipline and strength above all, and have a strong sense of honour which can seem odd to other peoples of the galaxy.
[*]Rules: The rules and laws of the Eriaduan Authority are outlined by the Lord Admiral and the Royal Family. National service in the navy is a requirement for all Eriaduans for a minimum of two years.
[*]Doctrines: Eriaduan culture and traditions revolve strongly around the navy and space travel. All Eriaduans are encouraged to learn piloting and naval-oriented skills. To an Eriaduan, the greatest aspirations one can have are either to serve on a naval ship, or design and construct them. Hard work and service to the nation are paramount among the Eriaduan people, and holding ones' self accountable for their actions is held highly. Eriaduans carry a strong sense of honour, especially in combat, and it is not uncommon for disputes to be resolved with duels using blastswords, mostly these are not to the death, but members of the ruling houses have been known to fight to the death over major issues.
[*]Goals: The current major goals of the Eriaduan Authority are to build up the naval power of the state, and develop Eriadu's reputation as a shipbuilding state. The Eriaduan Authority aims to become an innovator in naval development and holds itself currently to its own fierce independence, and holds its sovereignty paramount among its strategic goals.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

The Eriaduan Authority existed for many years as one of the many proxy governments that existed under the umbrella of the Galactic Alliance. Ruled primarily by the Teth family since its acceptance into the Alliance in the early days of the galactic government, a power vacuum caused chaos in the government after the Imperial assault on the world claimed the lives of its leaders, and the heir-apparent, Aryn Teth, disappeared in the aftermath of the Sith Endgame.

Using the chaos to his advantage, Verrin Traske of the Traske family used his military strength and allies to seize control of the government for himself and his family, pronouncing himself as the new Lord Admiral and spreading propaganda which vilified Aryn Teth, while placing new individuals at the head of House Teth as puppets for his own rule. Despite internal struggles and occasional conflicts between the ruling houses, the Eriaduan Authority continues to rule as it had under the umbrella of the Galactic Alliance, only it now does so as a fiercely independent government.

Note: Locations and NPCs to be submitted to the Codex at a later date.
