STRENGTHS
  • Command Ship - The Ereneda was designed as a Flagship as much as it was designed to be a literal castle among the stars. Its systems include the means to project sensor and scanner data in a blend of visual and electronic information, making it easier for a Flag Officer to command a larger armada of Capital Ships.
  • Systems Carrier - Large sections of the vessel have been allocated for the housing, repair and maintenance, and launching of Starfighters and Support Craft resulting in a larger hangar capacity.
  • Planetary Assault Carrier - Housed within the Ereneda is the means to secure a beachhead or consolidate gains depending upon what is needed at the time. The vessel is capable of launching up to ten squadrons of Support Craft often utilized to assist in this means, as well as being able to support up to two divisions of troopers alongside multiple modular garrisons.
  • Atmospheric Flight - The design of the Ereneda includes multiple Repulsorlift Engines located throughout the primary spire-like superstructure as well as the various other arm-like structures that emanate from the central structure. These Repulsorlift Engines allow the vessel to enter a planet's atmosphere and remain stationary without crashing into the surface of the planet.
  • Control Towers - These structures are located throughout the vessel and are often utilized to assist in deploying and tracking the various Starfighter or Support Craft squadrons launched by the vessel. They can also be utilized to pilot a Starfighter in the event its emergency override is activated, safely guiding the craft back into the nearest hangar bay.
  • Habitation Dome - Located at the heart of the Ereneda is a large habitation dome that has a replica of the Fountain Palace as well as various other buildings and structures that are designed in the standard Hapan Architecture as seen on the planet of Hapes. The structures are protected by a large dome of Crystasteel which is reinforced and held together with molecular shield generators. The vessel is thus capable of acting as a secondary residence of the Hapan Queen Mother, the Royal Family, and the Royal Court as well as a Diplomatic vessel.
WEAKNESSES
  • Sublight Drive System - Largely inspired by the Hapan aesthetic seen in other vessels and the love of beauty held by the Hapan people, the craft has a similar drawback in that the primary drive system that propels the vessel at Sublight Speeds is easily located and accessible. Damage to this critical system has the potential of crippling the vessel and preventing it from continued operation.
  • Control Towers - In the event that one of these structures were damaged or destroyed, it would hinder the ability to easily deploy and track the Starfighters and Support Craft squadrons of the vessel. Additionally, the loss of this vital structure would also hinder the ability to recover damaged Starfighters or assist those pilots experiencing an emergency during their landing attempt.
  • Habitation Dome - Located at the heart of the vessel, this section is heavily defended, however, it is nonetheless a tantalizing target for an enemy. Damage to or destruction of the protective dome would result in a catastrophic loss of life as it would expose the interior of the Habitation Dome to the vacuum of space.
  • Superstructures - The arm-like structures that extend from the central body of the vessel house the majority of weapons, defense systems, and hangar bays of The Ereneda. Thus, sufficient damage to these sections has the potential of sheering them off from the vessel, depleting its ability to attack an enemy, defend itself, or launch and recover Starfighter squadrons.
  • Atmospheric Flight - Though capable of entering a planet's atmosphere the vessel is otherwise incapable of fully landing on the surface of the planet without a specialized docking construct being present. Additionally, if multiple Repulsorlift Engines were damaged or destroyed, it would cripple the ability of the craft to remain stationary in the atmosphere, potentially leading to the vessel crashing into the surface of the planet.
  • Lack of Maneuverability - The Ereneda was designed to serve more as an imposing figure than it was to rush headlong into a battle and being able to maneuver the vessel was not given much second thought, resulting in a total incapability of maneuvering the craft or performing tactical combat maneuvers.
  • Sluggish - The design and size of the vessel as well as the inclusion of multiple weapon systems and heavier defensive capabilities has greatly reduced the overall speed of the vessel, resulting in slower acceleration and overall Sublight speeds.
  • Megamasers - Unique weapons developed by the Chiss that utilized both kinetic and laser energy to damage a target have found their way installed onto another Hapan vessel. The capacitors that were utilized to power these weapons often require a longer cycling phase to recharge before they can be fired again, resulting in a lower rate of fire compared to the other standard weapon systems onboard the vessel.
DESCRIPTION
The original Star Home was a vessel that had been constructed shortly after the conclusion of the Mandalorian Wars and is thought to have served as the personal transport of the Hapan rules until the time of the Galactic Alliance approximately Twenty-Eight Years After the Battle of Yavin. Built as a showpiece to reveal the splendors of the Hapes Cluster and allegedly housing the Royal Treasury consisting of a luxurious and legendary collection of priceless objects and artifacts, it conveyed the Hapan Queen Mother throughout the Hapes Cluster and served as a secondary residence to the Royal Family. It is unknown if the original still exists, was destroyed, or perhaps lost to the Transitory Mists and march of History, what is known, is that with the Hapes Consortium joining with the Galactic Alliance, a new vessel of splendor and lavish luxury was revealed to the Galaxy alongside the vast armada of Hapan vessels that slipped out from their moorings within the Transitory Mists.

The Ereneda - Hapan for "She who has no equal" - is a vast ship whose construction was oriented around a central Habitation Sphere that houses a replica of the Fountain Palace, the Royal Residence, and the Royal Seat on Hapes. From this centralized location are multiple spires that jut out and form the bulk of the structure which is the Ereneda, with each of these structures housing the multiple hangar bays, weapon systems, and defensive systems of the vessel. Many of these large arm-like superstructures are the reason why the vessel is capable of housing multiple squadrons of Starfighters and Support Craft, owing to its vast hangar capacity. These structures are also known to house the barracks and training centers that also allow the vessel to act as a Planetary Assault Carrier, capable of deploying two full Divisions along with up to eight Modular Garrisons to secure a beachhead or otherwise consolidate gains and secure a region from further turmoil. However, the vessel is not intended to be sent headlong into an engagement, and as such, though the Habitation Sphere is protected, damage to this section would result in a catastrophic loss of life as it would be exposed to the vacuum of space.

Due to an extreme focus on the defensive capabilities of the vessel and ensuring the safety of the Queen Mother and its occupants, additional heavier armor plating was added throughout the vessel. Further defensive systems were installed as well, with the majority of these additions resulting in an overall lack of speed as the Ereneda has been noted to have a lower acceleration and overall speed at Sublight. Likewise, its design was not fully intended for combat, and as such, it lacks the maneuverability and means to enact military maneuvers as seen in other Battlecruisers, resulting in a total incapability to maneuver the craft. These drawbacks though are acceptable considering that the Ereneda is capable, unlike the Ancestral Star Home, of entering a planet's atmosphere and remaining stationary thanks to the addition of multiple Repulsorlift Engines. This ability further secures its role as a Planetary Assault Carrier, making it easier to deploy its passengers and their associated vehicles and equipment. It should be noted, however, that the Ereneda is otherwise incapable of fully landing on a planet without the proper specialized docking support; and damage to multiple Repulsorlift Engines has the potential of causing the vessel to crash into the surface of the planet.

With the design of the vessel centered around the Hapan Architecture and the Hapan people's love of beauty, it follows similar designs that have been seen across the other Hapan vessels that have begun to be seen in the galaxy. Part of this design is the unfortunate drawback centered around its Sublight Drive System, the location of which is easily accessible; sufficient damage to this system has the potential to cripple the vessel and prevent it from further movement. Overall, the Ereneda is a fitting successor to its predecessor and provides the current Hapan Queen Mother with both a Flagship from which to command the vast Hapan Royal Navy as well as serve as a fitting Diplomatic Vessel as they are conveyed throughout the Galaxy and the territory of the Galactic Alliance.
