Kay-Larr
Sphaera Tea Company Owner
It was a race. A race to get back to Zakuul. Days earlier [member="Darth Tacitus"] had given Kay an ultimatum, one that she was quick to reject. That ultimatum consisted of her and others in her government to surrender themselves to the Dark Lord and denounce the Eternal Empire that they were trying to rise in power.
Unfortunately Tacitus wasn't her only enemy. [member="Loreena Arenais"] had left her a message about the First Order. They wished to retake the area surrounding Zakuul as well as the planet itself. They believed themselves to be the most stable of anyone else staking a claim on the planet. In some respects, Kay was starting to believe that too.
But she needed to get there first.
The Free Lady could only go so fast. The little freighter could only hold so much fuel, and the distance that was needed to cover was vast. Did Tacitus anticipate her stubborness? Was he already on his way? Was he accompanied with a number of fleets? Her own army and navy weren't quite up to bar in dealing with a full invasion. But she knew that they'd die trying anyways.
Kay was drinking her tea in her quarters when the freighter shuddered and came to a stop. That seemed early. Or did she just lose track of time? After setting the cup down, she got up and headed to one of the small windows. A sense of deja-vu accompanied the dread within her gut as she saw the Star Destroyers nearby.
The Captain of the Free Lady sounded the alarm, his voice heard over the ship's comms. ~We've been pulled out of hyperspace. Shields are up in case they open fire, but it won't be long before they have us surrounded. Should I hail them?~
Kay shook her head, her eyes not leaving the window. "If it is any of those that I think it could be, they'll hail us. Just be ready to try to get us out of here." They might not be able to use the hyperdrive, but they could use evasive maneuvers. Being small, they had that advantage.
