The Emerald Flight

The Green Jedi had always been an important part of the Corellian Identity. Through all of its bids for independence from whatever Republic or Alliance it was a part of, the Green Jedi always stood by the Corellian people and did them right. They were the Guardians of Light in the Corellian Sector and did so with distinction and honor. Quin's brother had been a Green Jedi and had long since perished at the Battle of Coruscant and so he felt like he had a special sort of connection with those Jedi who protected his homeworld. It had been many years since he'd been to Corellia, not since before the world had been merged with another through some perversion of the Force had he been back. To return to his homeworld and see it as active, healthy, and vibrant as he remembered it on this day...It nearly brought a tear to his eye.

The Emerald Promise's first flight.

He'd heard about it months earlier from one of the Green Jedi that had known his family since he was a child. She was also a Mirialan and had been his brother's padawan and they were about the same age.

"You have to come back! Its going to be grand!" Grand was one way to put it as he passed through the crowd of cheering Corellians at Freedom Park as he walked with his mother and father to the starport in a grand procession of Green Jedi, temple volunteers, and family of Green Jedi both past and present. They were headed to the Emerald Promise, the massive Jedi Praxeum ship fresh out of the shipyards and he couldn't be more proud.

Hundreds of select press, tourists, and Jedi from the Jedi Academy Network were arriving at the Starport or directly at the battlecruiser-sized vessel. There were plenty of things to do on the planet as well. Green Jedi padawans and learners were giving tours of the Floating Temple and down in the streets of Coronet there was a small celebration around the starport.

When he exited the ship and entered the hangar he felt his breath escape him as all around him volunteers, Jedi, astromechs and other aid droids hurried around completing their tasks even on this momentous day. As a scholar of the Force he felt incredibly privileged to be there.

"Most police work isn't that glamorous, they don't call it the grind for no reason. Nothing worse than a spectacle, the overtime alone is a killer. You'd think this kinda legwork would be below my paygrade by now, but when the department runs low on uniforms who do you think gets the call? Handling security for a Jedi parade, might as well hand me an orange vest and make me a traffic cop..."
Mykas Venture Memlogs, 856 ABY
Myk lit another cigarra, eyes drifting back and forth across the massive crowd with uncanny quickness.

He was in the thick of it, posted just outside the Emerald Flight herself. Unaffected by so many gathered people, the praxeum ship on the other hand had certainly been a sight. Now she was just another part of the scenery, and the CorSec inspector had other things on his mind. Corellia's ascendance to galactic prominence had only made his job more difficult, New Coronet was still mostly a safe place to live now that the Sith were gone, but it was also a booming capital city and the galactic underworld was the strongest it had been since the days of the Red Ravens. A wiser man than him had once said, 'in times of war the law falls silent'.

Not in Myk's town.

"Move it along big green," he stubbed the half-finished tabac leaf out under his shoe, singling [member="Quinvee Dogen"] out for briefly loitering to take in the view.

He wasn't worried about cartels and religious crusades today, though. This was a day where his fears were much better spent on punk kids and belligerent drunks, that is if a Jedi didn't come along and resolve any conflict with a snap of their fingers. It was a neat trick, but Myk was fairly sure it couldn't possibly feel as good as dropping some mook with a stun bolt. What he wouldn't give for a nice murder.

Stretched out hands over head, Nakbin yawned as he took a sharp intake of air to keep himself upright. Even with the heart pumping blood a tad quicker he could barely keep himself awake even walking towards the celebration of the Emerald Promise's maiden voyage. While he himself took no part with the ship's construction, he had family that had so he was here to support them as much as he was here to enjoy some time outside of his den.

Even with his profession of shipbuilder and engineer, these titles still hardly allowed him much access outside of his den past only being allowed to be ferried to the shipyards and back down to his den. Well at least I can enjoy some topside air. Nakbin though could not shake off his two escorts, two of his many sisters that stood ready to guard and defend their little brother from any danger. Unfortunately they cannot defend me against my utter boredom from the den.

Nakbin though held no ill will to any of them, they had their duty and job and he held his own, even if it was a tad constrictive, Nakbin had to admit to himself that at least he was given much more freedom than either of his sisters and even among his brother. "Take what life gives me," Nakbin spoke dryly to himself. His whiskers fidgeted as his nose turned up as more smells of the topside filled his senses, another thing neither of my sisters can defend me from, the smell.

"R-right," the large man stammered, "Sorry." He gave the CorSec agent a sheepish smile and moved on from the hangar. Thankfully the man didn't recognize him. The beard, long hair, and glasses seemed to disguise him better and better every day and despite having played for the Corellian Juggernauts he was slowly melting back into society. His parents had gone off already without him, which was alright. He was a grown man and could handle himself. Besides, he already knew where he wanted to go. The Holo Library.

While not as extensive as the one at the Green Jedi's main temple he'd heard that some holocrons had been brought on board the ship as well. Despite the Sith's best efforts the teachings of the Jedi had survived the tide of darkness in the Core and several had been recovered by the Green Jedi and the large man couldn't wait to get his hands on them. He'd need a Jedi's help to get them open and usable but they were on a Praxeum ship. How hard could that be?

The ceilings in the library were tall, and very temple-like. The room was dead quiet and despite the festivities in the gardens and lecture halls and dojos the library had more people in it than he expected. He clenched the shoulder bag strap with his large hands and took a tentative step towards a Jedi and put on his friendliest face.

"Excuse me, would you mind helping me with some research?"

"Coronet's a big place, you'd be surprised at the type of crazy just my department has to deal with on the regular. People have romantic ideas about us Corellians as lovable rogues but the folks born on this planet are capable of just as much ugly as everywhere else. Bloodstripes aren't a birthright, they have to be earned..."
Mykas Venture Memlogs, 856 ABY

Myk grunted, deftly sliding another cigarra from its pack and striking a match. He wasn't an avid sports fan these days, so the identity of the world famous smashball champion he had just admonished was lost on him. There had been a time when he had followed shockboxing closely, or at least the original Mykas Venture had, but all of his quotable statistics were at least a half century out of date. It seemed like too much work for nothing to catch up on it all now, not to mention displays of athleticism didn't strike quite the same visceral chord with him that they had with his 'predecessor'.

"Corellia for the Corellians! Don't be afraid brothers and sisters! The time has come for all true Sons of Corellia to rise up!"

Inspector Venture sighed. Cries of 'Corellia First!' echoed among the assembled crowd. These days it seemed like there was hardly a public gathering anywhere in Coronet without some kind of demonstration from the so called Sons of Corellia. It was the same sort of populist, pro-human pseudo authoritarian mentality that had become so popular when the Sith Empire occupied the Core. Despite their fanatical claims to patriotism, many among their movement supported joining with this new Imperial Confederation on Coruscant. So far there were no signs of violence, but with escalating rhetoric and non-human hate crimes on the rise Myk knew it was only a matter of time before that changed.

Corellian or Imperial Confederacy, decisions like those were way above a simple city sleuth. All he could do was make sure the streets didn't run as red as his stripes over it. He noticed [member="Nakbin"] and the other Selonians nearby immediately, and started pushing through the crowd to keep a closer eye on them. Selonians had as much right to the system as anyone else, but the Sons of Corellia tended to adopt a more humanocentric mentality. Emotions ran high at these protests, and spontaneous attacks were not unheard of.

There were always Starchasers on Corellia. It was one of those things. Even when the Jedi Lords ruled the galaxy, and the Starchasers took their role within the Wardens to a new level, with a small fleetrunning rescue operations, a Starchaser sept was always sitting near Tyrene. And today, that was Jared. His father was out leading the charge to help defend the galaxy, and his sister was off doing her Warden of the Sky bit in the Outer Rim Coalitions territory. That left Jared, a pilot, Chiss raised and Corellian patriot, to help watch over the green world.

Until his father could return. If that was in the cards.

Working between CorSec and the Green Jedi, Jared was placed promptly in the Reconnaissance Unit of CorSec, with times and postings to the Interdiction and Interception unit. Mostly, he’d be running around on Corvettes in the Corellian suburbs. Having landed his dark green painted Clawcraft at the new Praxeum ship, he pulled his green cloak over his black flight suit, making his way inside from the hangar.

Corellia.

Sabetha had mixed feelings about this place.

Somewhere, in the back reaches of her memory, there was a little girl that called Corellia home. A child that settled chubby, grubby little hand into a larger, warmer hand. A memory of laughter and love.

But there was also the older child, that memory keener. Of growing up on the streets of Coronet City. Of cold winters and too thin clothes and not enough to eat. Of trying to go to sleep as early as possible after managing something to eat in an evening- because if she did that, the hunger wouldn't keep her awake. Instead it would wake her up. Small differences but keen.

Even there, though, there had been someone that cared about her. Mother traded (taken) for an adopted sister.

Corellia held the best and the worst of memories for Sabetha.

Home.

Kark that.

She hadn't been back in years. Not since she'd gone and sought out the Silver Jedi. That had gone... far differently than she ever could have expected. No camaraderie there. No sense of belonging. And now?

Home wasn't a place. Home was the people you surrounded yourself with.

So why was she here now?

Curiosity. As simple as that. How long had it been since Corellia had held the reins of her own fate? Too long, controlled by this power or that, never caring about what this place was or what it meant.

Sabetha could pretend that Corellia meant nothing to her, or worse. But in her heart of hearts this place was the genesis of herself. The very kernel of what made Sabetha Sabetha. She could dismiss it. Pretend she did care. But the moment the news had reached her, she'd had to see for herself.

Just what freedom meant.

If not for her, then for some half forgotten memory of a woman with green eyes and a bright smile.

Absently, she rubbed at the coin on a chain beneath her shirt. She hadn't worn that in years either. Not since she'd left the Jedi. Put it away, along with those ideals. They'd brought her nothing but grief. But something about coming back here, to where it had all started, well. She'd put it on again, maybe just one more time. Nostalgia? Some emotion she wasn't particularly keen to pick at or tug up into the light. Not now. Later, maybe.

"So what do you think? Nicer than it use to be," she grinned at [member="Hira Mitsae"]. She'd intended to make this trip alone, but when Hira had waltzed right onto the ship behind her, well.

She was kind of hard to say no to.

[member="Sabetha Tag"]

When was the last time that Hira had been on Corellia?

A decade? More? Not recent anyway. It kept changing hands for the past few years. From Imperial occupiers to (allegedly) well-meaning democratic idiots. Always something. But this was the first time that Corellia was truly free in years! Exciting!

Probably.

Sabetha had been off since Humbarine. Family did that to a person. The least Hira could do was have her back here. "Girl, we been here for two minutes." She muttered, while gray eyes scanned the crowd like a storm in a bottle.

Finally settling on the redhead.

"If this be freedom, I can tell ya it still stinks tho." The unwashed whalm of the crowd had hit them in the face the moment they left the ship.

That is one thing Hira noticed. The spaceport was absolutely packed. People were definitely taking advantage here. Freedom. For now no more stifling tariffs and regulations. But who knew how long that would last.

"Grab a beer and explore a bit?"

Already setting a course through the crowd.

Leaving people annoyed in her wake. She was like a dagger cutting straight through them.

Today was an exciting day for all Corellians everywhere, but especially the green Jedi. The temple was open for select tours, the streets were full of a parade, and the new training ship was ready. For Kyle it was a grand day, but not as much for any of those reasons. Kyle has recently be united with his long time friends Andrik and Elsie Perris. Rik, it turned out had been part of the Green Jedi as well. Once reuniting the two were near inseparable. They had started to train together and spar together, most of the time Kyle needled Rik about his sister. They had run into each other, quite literally, when they met again after five years. For Kyle he could not get over the fact Elsie no longer looked like a kid. They all had grown, but the scrangly little girl that had followed them around was now a young woman, an attractive young woman.

Kyle and Rik were waiting for Elsie in the city streets waiting for her to arrive. They wanted her to see the floating temples, where they lived, and trained. Kyle wasn't going to be happy until the got on the ship however. His eyes were set on getting into space, the young Jedi was already training as a fighter pilot. It was a rigorous regimen, but the teenage padawan was ready to see what the stars had to offer. A silly grin was plastered all over his face as he purchased some roasted peanuts from a street vendor. There were three bags for the each of them.

Eyes scanned the crowd looking for any sign of the Perris sister, maybe his mannerisms were a bit too telling and anxious, but Kyle did not care.

"She is coming right," Kyle said to Rik. "I mean the temple and ship won't be open to everyone all that often and it isn't like we've all be able to hang all that much lately. You're busy, I'm busy, she has school... it's like we hardly see each other." Except Kyle and Rik saw each other all the time. It just wasn't the same without Elsie and not just because of Kyle's blatant crush on the girl.

That was when he spotted her coming from the direction of the school.

"Elsie!!! Hey over here... I got peanuts!!!"

The Emerald Promise
Corellia

For all of her connections, for all the time spent helming this ship, that ship, or patrolling the spacelanes alone, Lia had never taken the time to see Corellia. The green planet held a somewhat special place in her thoughts, as the world from which some of those closest to her had emerged, none of which she had seen in... longer than she liked, and the advent of the world taking back its independence and freedom was a heady thing to be around for. Corellia, even after being broken as it was years prior, still turned a beautiful face; the world was made only more beautiful by the way it was changed and put back together, despite that she had only seen it in holos and photos until now. The floating mountains were especially interesting, and she considered heading up to the temple there, later.

And the Emerald Promise? Well, it wasn't every day a praxeum ship launched for the first time, and she had never been on one before. Were there pilots and navigators, or was it all automated? As a pilot and navigator herself, she was curious, but knowing the information was readily available, she delayed finding out, instead taking in the rest of what the ship, or 'Prax' as she heard some of its to-be residents calling it, had to offer. She thought about visiting the dojo to test her hand-to-hand, or maybe the medbay to maybe catch another healer at work: her own education in that art by her late first master had been little more than the basic measures - enough to care for herself, but barely enough to be of much help to others.

Being 'on' more often than not took its toll, and grabbing peace where she could wasn't always easy; the Meditative Gardens had a decompressing effect on her tensions, which made sense given the general belief that nature was the most ready conduit of the Force to draw upon. She sat on a bench in one of the four gardens, thinking about how she would fit in amongst the Corellisi if she lived planetside, here. CorSec would be an obvious choice for the transferability of her skills, but her status as a Warden and all that entailed didn't lend her to remaining near the dirt for long, and giving that up when it meshed so well with every other facet of her identity would be a hard sell. Not that she was really thinking of making any such changes, but that was the funny thing about life and the Force - you never know where you'll end up. The past several years weren't where she thought she'd end up going, even if the time was valuable for various reasons.

Lia raked a slender-fingered hand through her firey mane, took a deep breath, and let it out slow. The best laid plans, indeed.

The Twon Ketee mercenary towered over his two companions as they patrolled the halls. A platoon of Jackal Company's best soldiers had been assigned to the temple ship for its maiden voyage -- accessories, really, simply to exemplify the newfound might of the Confederation. The Green Jedi would be perfectly fine on their own, so Krek felt rather useless wandering the halls of the shining new vessel.

He had nothing to report to the two heavily-armed mercenaries that walked alongside him, but eventually they began to get bored. His scans continued to update. He knew when they were going to talk before they did.

"Hey, Krek, think you could take on patrol on your own? Janus and I are pretty hungry, we're gonna head to the mess," the smaller man to his left said. As if Krek needed help patrolling. They were simply asking for their own sake, Krek knew they knew he could do just about anything on his own.

"It would be wise to do so now," Krek commented. "By tomorrow there will be no food; these Jedi have not accounted for my appetite." His metallic voice was rather neutral, a small red light flickering on his rather small head as the vocabulator produced the words translated from the quiet growling his real mouth produced. Twon Ketee was an odd language.

The two soldiers chuckled, nodding to the massive red-skinned war machine. They quickly moved off, leaving Krek to his own rather minimalist thoughts. The cybernetics in his head reminded him to replace the batteries in his legs soon. He scanned the halls, making sure to keep his massive blaster rifle lowered -- wouldn't want to scare the crew of the ship any more. His other set of arms hung at his sides, his leathery red fingers flexing occasionally, making sure he was ready for anything... anything at all.

Lately, Kyle… like-a-brother Kyle, go-getter Kyle, had turned into something that could make Rik’s eyes roll to the back of his head, if not out of his head entirely. He was insufferable, smitten, and it was all over no-one other than one of his sisters, which made the whole thing… worse? He wasn’t sure how he felt. On the one hand, she was his little sister, but on the other, five years had made her somewhat the stranger, and then there was everything else on top of that. Everything before. He wasn’t sure where he stood when it came to Elsie, but none of that stopped the sharp elbow Rik sent into his best friend’s arm, when the other padawan quipped that they hardly saw each other. While it wasn’t true between the two of them, it was blatantly obvious what Kyle meant. They had both had crushes and had needled each other about them over the years, there was no denying that, but this was infinitely more intolerable because of the proximity. And it wasn’t just because Elsie was his sister.

“For Force sakes, man…” he hissed, “...it’s been a week. Rik refolded his arms over his chest. “Stop drooling over her before you drool on her.”

Somehow, Rik thought, this was going to get them both killed if his bro didn’t get ahold of himself, and it wouldn’t be his father doing it. Tadel Perris wasn’t that kind of man, and that was another facet of Rik’s complex feelings about this - it was how he was raised. After five years it was in some ways hard to see Elsie as a sibling, and he could, kind of, see what Kyle was on about: his eldest baby sister was becoming a beautiful young woman.

“Gimme one of those peanuts,” he said, idly putting out a hand to the side to receive one of the packets, while his eyes trained on the object of Kyle’s delirium as she approached, “please,” coming as a bit of an afterthought.

Still. It was proving to be distracting for his friend and ‘brother-in-arms’ so to speak, even though they were still just padawans, and would be for at least another couple years, but it was still too early to really intervene. He had to trust Kyle would let reality in on his own… more or less. Rik bit back a sigh, a grimace, at Kyle’s exuberant greeting, and lifted his own arm to wave to the girl.

“Hey, Ells!” He shouted, “Not only does he have peanuts, but he is nuts!”

Rik flashed a shet-eating grin, and jabbed Kyle with another sharp elbow.

Elsabetta was excited to get out of school, and when it was finally over she made a B-line to the designated meeting area with Andrik and Kyle. It hadn’t taken her long to reach them, and finding them wasn't a problem at all. Both were shouting to draw her attention, Kyle waving frantically and exclaiming that he had nuts, while Rik gave him a good jab to the ribs.

The purple-haired girl bounded on her feet through the crowd with the same energy she'd been exhibiting since the first day that she’d returned home. Finally free from having to live with her head constantly down and being accepted into the Junior Officers program, not to mention reuniting with her family and childhood friend, Kyle; had felt like nothing short of a dream come true.

The teen knew she had a lot to be thankful for.

With a smile and an embrace she greeted Andrik, but hesitated when it came to Kyle, opting for a...hand shake? Cause that wasn’t awkward or anything. She wasn't really sure how to react to this version of Kyle, he wasn't the same boy she remembered. It made her feel like slugging him in the arm like she would a sibling, for being such a droyk and making things awkward. But at the same time, she cared about whether or not that would make him like her less, and refrained from the impulse.

“He’s Corellian isn’t he? Let’s face it, we’re all a bit nuts.” she grinned at the simple jest and looped about Kyle, pulling up between him and Andrik. Hooking her arms into theirs, she pulled them along without waiting, walking between them. “The Jedi Temple is this way, right?” She looked inquisitively to her older brother, a sculpted brow arched, but kept moving without waiting for an answer.

There had been a time when Elsabetta was little that she went to Andrik for everything. The big questions, security. Whenever she was scared of the cracian and floozams in the dark, Andrik was always there to reassure her. For a long time, they’d had a connection like none else.

Of course, that’d changed after an accident during some of their rough and tumble play, taking a toll on their relationship. What had happened then was constantly in the back of her mind when she saw him, but she tried very hard to hide the negative feelings. It never seemed to work very well, but she did her best to smile whenever he looked at her, and Andrik never tried to needle her for the truth.

True, they were in a strange place because of it all but, they were still family. Hopefully between the planned excursion to see the Jedi Temple, and spending some good quality time together, would put them on the path to eventually being in a better spot.

"Hey man... watch it..." Kyle said after getting elbowed in the ribs by his best friend. "It's awkward and not cool, I got it okay... but I can't help it if your sister is hot okay."

Kyle had majorly overcompensated in the way behaved when Elsie was around or even mentioned. He simply didn't know how to handle the fact she was like a sister to him, and also the most beautiful girl he had ever laid eyes on. It was a fairly simple reality, but the way it worked out was anything but. While Kyle was wrestling with his attraction to Elsie, they were all dealing with their friendship. Truth be told, they were trying to pick up where they had all left off, but the fact of the incident between Elsie and Rik remained. There was an uneasy and unspoken thing between the two that none of them talked about, but Kyle could not help but pick up on it being a Jedi. It was something that made his awkward attraction to Elsie seem less an issue in his mind, though he was never going to say so.

"Look man, when you find a girl you really like and start acting like a bantha in heat... just remember this day and how I promised to get even."

His smile went wide as Elsie approached and chimed in about all of them being nuts because they were Corellian. The handshake was awkward, but things had been a little since the day they rant into each other. He wanted to hug her, but at the same time that felt weird because the motivation wasn't out of some friendly or sibling like attachment, not completely anyway.

"It is definitely this way," he said as Elsie split the two boys and linked arms with them. He was genuinely excited for her to see the floating temple, not just from a distance, but also get the tour. It was something they all needed. Maybe seeing where they lived and what they did would make them all understand each other better. After all, it had been five years, and they all had changed. Despite all of that they were still close, and this was only going to make them closer. "Right so here we go!"

Holocrons or no, the library aboard the Emerald Promise was magnificent. His trip there would have been more magnificent if he had been allowed access to the Jedi Holocron he'd spied but he counted his blessings when the Archive Keeper instead dumped several volumes of books, both holo and physical into his massive arms and told him to read in the garden.

The doors hissed open as he stumped awkwardly into the hall, his stack of books and nearly ran into a wall. Or what he thought was a wall.

"Oh, s-sorry. Excuse me I...didn't...see..." his words trailed off as the mass of muscle and cybernetics entered his vision. It wasn't often he had to look up, but this creature before him, this alien he'd never seen before was easily two maybe three feet taller than he was. The stammering continued as books began to fall from the pile stacked in the crook of his left arm.

"Uh-I-um-er-Sorry-Oh by the stars!" he stammered, his glasses falling down his nose a little bit before he realized he'd dropped the books.

"Sithspit!" He groaned and knelt down to start picking up the books, tilting his gaze up occasionally to make sure he hadn't angered the red beast before him.

Funny how they would call this one big.

Krek was stoic as ever, the grey-armored mercenary watching as this green humanoid nonsensically dropped his books. He shifted the black blaster rifle into his back right hand, and used the others to quickly stem the flow of paper that was spilling from the poor Mirialan's hands.

With that done, one of his left arms quickly began scooping up the fallen books, the wide leathery-red hand grabbing several and placing them on the stack the humanoid held. Each movement was accurate and deliberate, perhaps giving the impression like that of a droid. Krek was an odd being -- most cyborgs were.

"You should be careful. I use my scanners to avoid crashing into others," the metallic voice stated, a small red light flickering on the Twon Ketee's face. Krek had actually stopped to avoid the Mirialan, but it obviously hadn't worked. He shifted his rifle back into his front two hands, his head rising slightly to look further down the hall. The green being had lost his interest.

As a Starchaser he felt he needed to do something, to live up to his father’s name and reputation. But his father was working on a cosmic scale. The galaxy was his playground. Jared tried to do that, but felt like he was getting lost. The galaxy was a big place and he wasn’t exactly a traditional citizen of the galaxy. Starfighter pilot, sniper, Force user, he was used to serving on a ship that went with its own purpose. Now he was taking that ship and doing what it did best, protecting the homeworld.

Most of the service men and women were from Corellia, and were Corellian families, stealing a ship and going rogue decades prior when the government had taken a dark turn. His father tried to fight against it, but thing had gone awry. As a result, Jared and his sister Kaia had been raised by what became their cousins, but they knew of their father’s accolades, and each responded in their own way. Jared sought to serve. And with Corellia taking their own government in their hands, he had returned to the homeworld.

The wings folded and Jared spoke to the ship’s on-board droid brain to go into storage mode for a bit. Wings closing and the ship repulsoring to get into a rack for the fighters, keeping it off the ground. The cloak over his flightsuit was pulled closer. He could feel Lia in the Force and made his way for the gardens. As he entered, he smiled.

“Been here long?”

"Y-your scanners?" Quin took another look at the large creature before him and noticed for the first time the huge amount of cybernetics implanted in its body. Was this thing even really alive? Its strange vocabulator at least told him that it could speak.

"Ah," he said and piled the last of the books on his arm, "Well...I'm sorry about that. I'll be more careful." He cleared his throat and reached out his hand, "I'm Quin, nice to meet you...errr" He let the sentence trail off awkwardly not knowing whether he was talking to a male or female or if it even had the concept of sex or gender.

A parade how nice.

Sam had found a corner to stand on to watch the floats pass by. She was working of course not everyone was happy about the new trends on Corellia and murmurs of violence had made their way into the Special Ops Office. She smiled and waved like all the happy citizens around her did she wanted to look like she belonged.

A trained eye however swept the crowd looking for the odd behavior the sudden movement and anything that sat on the ground too long. The latter was growing more difficult as the crowds grew. Faces were easy to spot.

For some reason a line from the holo she watched the night before crept into her thoughts, 'I don't mind if you don't like my manners. They're pretty bad. I lament over them during long winter evenings'. The line had made her laugh.

There was a shift in the crowd, Sam stood a little straighter and watched as she eased the tension from her shoulders and took a breath.
