The Dzara

Through victory, my chains are broken.

Or so the saying goes.

Yet - that is a simplistic idea. There exists those who understand the chain is not a thing to be broken, it is a thing to be indulged and controlled. For all things are bound in the chain, to be a creature among the Living Force itself is to have all that lives linked together. Chains are a suffocating thing if left unchecked, so rises the Dzara to embrace this cosmic truth and become more than what their fellows could’ve ever.

Some would say the Dzara are meager crooks, the corruption that embeds itself within all authoritarian powers as exceptionally cruel as the Sith Empire. Egotistical monsters that decay all which they touch in grand selfishness - perhaps, they are not wrong. Indeed, the chain brings forth the worst in mortals. For why struggle against those base impulses that bring forth proof of life? To understand the chain is to indulge yourself in gluttonous opulence. To live by that most simple of creed - take, or be taken from. Grow fat upon power and suffering, for your brothers and sisters too are bound beneath the chain of existence: yet dead weight will drag all down with them. Suffer not the meek, nor the meager. If your fellows can not stop you, take, take, and take till you can take no more. Restraint is the domain of the dead - and to be among the Dzara is to know you are alive.

Indeed, the Dzara dance between cruel cartel, brutal raiders, and Sith cultists all the same. For the many aspects are all bound beneath the singular link of the chain. Brothers and sisters bound beneath that cosmic truth that unifies the disparate entities of Sith space beneath one black banner the Dzara. Heralded forth by the grim triad that founded this gaggle of boundless malice.

In times past, before an Empire reforged, three beings clasped claws in unison with understanding of the base truths that lay at the cosmic heart of reality. A union of belief and purpose - power hungry beasts that would see others brought into their darkness and uplifted in the freedom granted by accepting your chains - and the infinitesimal struggle against them.

This Dark Circle at the core of the Dzara was formed by:

The Imperator and Dark Councilor Lirka Ka

The Lord of Terror Darth Nefaron

The War Marshal Helix

In union, these three disparate beings that stood against the foundations of traditional Sith belief reached out to bring all the wretched things that festered within their Empire to fall beneath one unified force that could swell to become the next great power of Sith existence. Originally an alliance between slavers unified in their desires to see the proliferation of their profession-most-cruel in opposition to its outlawed status beneath former Sith Emperor Darth Empyrean and his successor, Srina Talon. The disappearance of their former ruler laid forth new opportunities to spread their corruption and grow brazen in their icons waved beneath blackened skies of bloody crimson. The outlands of the Sith Empire would be their playground, fueled by desire for bloody expansionism born from the cultural mission of the former Sith-Imperial Third Legion headed by Lirka Ka and the freedom granted to her fellow warlords to indulge themselves in great evil. They were the first of the Chainbound, and in the power vacuum left with the sudden disappearance of Lord Malum Marr of the Tsis’Kaar the Sith-Imperial underworld was in disarray, allowing the triad to weasel their disease into the criminal populace of the Empire. Their brazen birth was one of great violence, for it was this terrible triad of fiends that would bring their hammer down upon the Tsis'Kaar when the opportunity presented itself - for such evil could only truly be christened with the blood of those who had once been allies.

The forward-facing elements of the Dzara are a monstrous and warlike legion of expansionists hungry to claim the riches denied to them by a weak Galaxy that has grown meek beneath their comforts. The Dark Chains that bind all are a dehumanizing thing: it is only through great struggle where one can take grasp of the chains around them, and begin to bend them to their will. A unity of Helix’s bio-mechanical privateers, Nefaron’s Sithspawn monstrosities, and the elements of Lirka’s own Sith-Imperial Legion gave groundwork for a massed force of faceless fiends ready to grasp their claws around the very stars themselves. For the desire of the Dzara is to take, indulge, and struggle. To ravage and plunder and fill their coffers fat, overcome all who are too weak to stand against the tide.

The colonizing crusaders that represent these outward elements of the Dzara are shroud for what is perhaps even more sinister. Idols of corruption, that look to embed themselves within the muck and mire that exists throughout the expanse of the Sith Empire that they call home. Slavers and spice dealers, perpetuating the decay given forth by alchemically enhanced narcotics. It is a multi faceted organization, for the work in the dark makes way for the work the Dzara are able to perpetuate in the open to bring more worlds into the Chain of Sith existence - each world take, another link added. Each hovel of misery left in the Sith’s wake claimed in the name of Dzara cements a noose slowly tightening till control of the chain rests firmly in the hands of the hedonistic butchers that inhabit the Dzara.

This chimeric blend of disparate outliers within the Sith diaspora took form into the three primary branches of the Dzara, like the many heads of a Hydra sprouting from one body; archetypes of the group’s founders deviated into three aspects of what creates the Dzara.

Legion - Black banners raised beneath blood red skies
  • The hard power of the Dzara rests in the military forces levied for the cause of aggressive Sith expansionism. Worlds brought in as links to the chain may have their resources extracted and the weak of their people put to work feeding the nigh boundless gluttony and greed of the Dzara’s leaders and their kindred. The worthy retooled to serve within the growing host of the Triad. This legion represents the elements of the Dzara that are more openly expressed to the wider Sith cause as a more “acceptable” gaggle of fiends compared to the degeneracy that may remain hushed.

Sith - Bringers of despair, those who devour dreams
  • A hopeless Galaxy is a shackled Galaxy. From the dark citadel on Anoat and beyond. The machinations of divergent cultists throughout the Empire the Sith of the Dzara are heralds of terror. Understanding that there is no greater weapon in the arsenal of dark lords than fear, an ultimate tool of domination when the populace is too enslaved by their own terror to ever resist the worthy few that seek to control them. Fear is the path to the Dark Side, and the Dark Side is the path to control over the chain.

Criminal - Take, or be taken from. Plunder without regard.
  • While Star Destroyers and marching armies may bring the foe to submission. Sometimes it takes a more industrious infection to pave the way for domination. Law is a pointless shackle to those who understand the primal nature of the chain, and lawlessness is the path of profit. Pirates and spice dealers, shadow money untethered by the powers that be offers a certain freedom for the dark dabbling of the Dzara and their destructive machinations. From the lowliest of scum, scuttling through muck and mire, to the mightiest of Lords high atop their towers. All of them understand a simple fact: crime does pay.

Yet despite these different aspects, all feed into the same cosmic goal of domination. A chance to reach out and take power over the primal forces of the Chain, and wrench control over those weak willed souls that are incapable of becoming one with their chain. Almost all members of the Dzara dabble in each of the aspects in some form or fashion, multifaceted monsters that they are. Brothers and Sisters, the Chainbound - do not be deceived into believing this familial language beckons forth some manner of true kindness nor love for their fellows. Each member is a link in the chain, and those who are unable to carry their weight for their fellows must be cut away. Brothers and sisters that brawl, scratch, and scuttle to take all that they may. One family, bound in the chain of cruelty. There is a sort of dark irony in it - the humor of monsters - to embrace the chainbound nature of the Dzara is to understand that all malice and vice

This Cosmic Chain continues the multifaceted trends that are present within the Dzara’s - while the three primary elements represent the organization's more tangible structures of warships, criminals, and dark citadels. There are deeper, spiritual, structures that can be found in the categorization of vices, for what is a chain if not made from its many links? People on their individual levels represent links in the chain, but the negative emotions that bring someone into the fold of the Dzara's butchers stretches of killers that can be described as thus -

The Chain of Gluttony - at the core of Dzara is savage overconsumption: take, take, and take till you can take no more. Take from your friends, take from your foes. Indulge in all that has been denied Gorge yourself on all that you desire, for when you embrace the freedom of the Chain nothing is outside your reach.

The Chain of Wrath - Hate. Hate is power. Anger boils like magma and takes hold of the rational mind till all that remains is the beast beset by violence. Destroy for the sake of destruction; anything that dares to stand against you does not deserve to exist. All that would seek to deny you is deserving of only the most base of vitriol.
The Chain of Greed - those who understand that it is credits that make the world go round, it does not matter how they are earned. Let the most precious coin be the one soaked in blood. Pirates, raiders, and spice dealers. Greed is unbound, with no pesky rules, laws, and codes to keep one suffocated.

The Chain of Pain - pain is the truest of friends, it is there to remind you of life, it is an amusement to inflict upon others. Pain is the opening of the mind, bringing forth grim enlightenment. A Galaxy writhing, a Galaxy suffering. Pain is the ultimate test of strength, if you can not overcome pain - well…were you ever really worthy to exist in the first place?

The Chain of Domination - what is the nature of evil, if not to dominate? All living things are links in the chain, in some form or fashion. So let it be you who holds theirs, if they are too weak to resist they were unworthy of freedom in the first place. Exert will upon all that is weaker than you.

All sections link back into each other, and it is the truly repugnant that can embrace so deeply into all facets of the primal bind of this dark savagery. Indeed, the Sith are a people of strong emotion. When taking these emotions to their maximum and beyond - one can understand the freedom granted by this “bound” state of being. Petty notions of morality discarded for the sake of self-destructive indulgence, one could indeed argue that the Dzara are a gaggle that wishes to take the Dark Side of the Force to its logical maximum, embracing the consequences of degeneration with a sense of pride.
