Name: The Drower Homestead

Classification: Mansion/Homestead

Location: It is located upon the planet Vinsoth, about a mile outside Umalor

Affiliation: The Drower Family

Description: The structure, built to appease early generations of the Drower family, is located outside the city of Umalor. This, as well as Vinsoth's low profile, makes the mansion rather difficult to find. The structure itself is walled in, thick stone walls, roughly two feet thick and 20 feet high, a rather tall wall to keep people out. However, you can access these walls via a little door in the master bedroom, the inside of the walls lined with thick durasteel sheets and also small little holes, just big enough for the barrel of a gun. The early generations of Drower always worried about a Chevin attack and as such made sure their walls were outfitted so that men could hide in them and shoot if required.

The inside of the structure is relatively open. The first sight is a large, open foyer with three large chandeliers hanging down from the celing. In this main foyer, the grand staircase is housed, a stone set of stairs leading up to the second floor. You will also find two seperate doors in the foyer, one leading into the basement and one leading down into the staff bedrooms and staff kitchens. Both of these areas will become important in later parts of Drower's story. Much artwork lines the walls of the grand foyer, portraits of every generation of the Drower family, and above the stairs is a very large portrait of the owner of the house, currently sitting there is the face of Daniel's father.

A turn to the right from the grand foyer will reveal a large, open plan living room. A very large, royal red sofa sits in the centre of the room, facing a mounted TV that is usually twisted to 32 degrees exactly, signs of Daniel's older brother having been in the room previous. A very large refrigerating unit lies off into the corner of the room, placed for convience. Daniel's father always classed it a waste to always have to walk to the otherside of the house to get snacks, and as such had an extra refrigeration unit installed to "conserve energy" or in better terms, "be lazy". The TV mounted up is roughly 300 inches, displaying the holonews when not in-use via the children of the household.

A turn left from the grand foyer reveals a small office space, an old mounted slugthrower sitting behind a large desk and computer terminal. This is one of the smallest rooms in the house, and also contains two extra doors that lead to the garage and also a very large underground corridor that leads somewhere very special. This room is used by the head of the Drower household to "do taxes and other important tasks", or in the case of Daniel's father, "play Sabbac and drink". The room usually smells of different ales from around the galaxy and there is always a sabbac deck left around, be it on the large desk or just thrown aside on the floor, you'll find one.

I stated that the second door in the office leads somewhere special. If you follow the corridor for about a half mile, you'll come across some stairs. Heading down these stairs leads to a second door, that when opened leads to the Drower private hanger. This very large, underground hanger is perfect for freighters and starfighters, though trying to land a star cruiser will be impossible. There are seperations across the walls for star fighters and room in the centre of the hanger to store two medium sized, 500m frigates, though the height clearance is only 450m. The celing opens up whenever a ship is leaving the hanger, the grass above splitting just for enough time before closing again and looking rather natural. This hanger is kept stocked with enough ships for the Drower family, should they ever require an escape vehicle from the mansion. One Peregrine-class Armed Freighter sits in the centeral docking section, a fulltime crew staffing the ship constantly, ready to leave at a moments notice. Very old T-65A3 X-Wing Starfighters fill up the twelve star fighter seperations around the edge of the hanger, staffed with fulltime pilots who have the single job of escorting the Peregrine-class Freighter from the hanger.

Backtracking into the main foyer, a trip under the stairs will lead two three more doors. The largest set of doors, right in front of you, leads directly to the Drower owned field. Out in this field there is a fully stocked armoury, a place where Daniel's favorite fencing tool is kept and also rows upon rows of blasters line the walls, again left by very early generations of Drower in case of an attack on the mansion. The attack never happened, but the blasters were kept just to be safe, better to be safe than sorry. Out in the field itself, a small section has been roped off for the Drower family fencing lessons and a race course has also been roped off, a chance for the older members of the Drower family to race each other on speeder bikes. Across the back of the field, wheat is grown constantly, a supply for the Drower family should they ever run out of food, again, all about being safe.

Back into the back of the staircase, the door on the left leads to a rather large, lush kitchen. This kitchen is staffed fulltime by the best chefs that money can buy, some of Vinsoth's best but also one or two galaxy known chefs. Each one gets paid an insane amount of money to prepare food for the Drowers. Many droids litter the kitchen, each one ready to serve food at a moment's notice, carry food and wine across the corridor to the dining room, which is where we shall head next. A room full of art, the dining room is easily the newest addition to the household, the most modern room in the house, the only items of furniture is an extremely large dining table and numerous chairs, nothing special.

Back out to the stairs, and we shall head down first. The basement is nothing really special, a wine cellar mostly. However, the staff area is special. A change from the house, every member of staff from the cooks to the pilots to the cleaners is kept down in the staff area. Each member of staff kept in bunks, each member of staff having to roomshare with at least seven others. Each bunk has access to one refresher and one tiny kitchen, inhumane conditions that the staff are willing to live in for the money they earn.

Back up the stairs, this time right the way up. The first door is the largest on this floor, right in front of you when you step from the stairs. The master bedroom, painted a lovely gold colour, a large bed filling up only a tiny amount of the space. A large walk in wardrobe and onsuite refresher are present, as well as a large TV and a rather large sitting area, complete with a small fridge full of the galaxies best wine and ale. The bedding and matress is custom made, made to shape around a person's body as they toss and turn during sleep. Each and every sofa is hand crafted, made perfectly for such important Chev's, some of the first to achieve such "poshness".

Each of the children's bedrooms happen to be the same. A small desk with a computer terminal, an ensuite refresher, bed, sitting area and chest of draws. The children never got anything special, elder generations deciding that children needed to be treated like slaves so that they toughened up enough to become men of the house. Each room has access to a rather large window to allow a steady stream of natural daylight, other than that, the rooms are just plain and simple. White really, though some are a light cream.

History: Chevs, the slaves of the Chevin. Or, they used to be anyway. Some of the Chevs still are slaves, but some are starting to branch off on their own. Anyway, enough backstory on the Chev's. The house was first built by the fifth or sixth generation of Drower, just after the time of the original One Sith, Darth Krayt and all that malark. It was built to serve the Drower family for years and years, generation upon generation with each generation adding their own touch to the house.

Let's get the details out of the way. How did a former slave become so rich he could afford everything? Roughly the fourth or fifth generation of Drower, there was a man known as Alrex. Alrex Drower was a bounty hunter, quite successful, nearly 100% success rate. He was one of the first Chevs to start branching out from the "former slave" tag they'd been stuck with for so many years, thousands upon thousands to be exact. Actually a couple of million but besides the point. Alrex was making some profits from his bounty hunting, enough to build a small little house on his home planet, Vinsoth. This small little house set the stage for the Drower Homestead.

This small little house became the living room of the Drower household.

Around the ninth generation of Drower, Daniel's great, great, great grandfather, more and more seemed to be added to the house, forming what is now the main bulk of the homestead. Many people wondered where the money was coming from, little did they know that the current generation of Drowers were businessmen and Sabbac players. The Drowers had funds built up from Alrex, who'd left his small fortune to his child, who had theen been killed by the ninth generation, who had taken the money. All confusing, but the Drowers were funding Vinsoth businesses and raking in the profits. That is still a thing they do on the 13th Drower generation, the Daniel generation.

So, hang on. Chev's live for hundreds of years, how have we skipped so many generations? The answer is simple, the children would get greedy. As the heads of house would grow richer and richer as they raked in profits, the children would get jealous. Daniel's father is the first Drower to live beyond 100, many were slaughtered young by their children. It's all a little weird and people got jealous but it happened, and the history books say the same.

The current sets of staff were hired by Daniel's father. Many of them are paid rather large sums from the Drower account to work, this money having been built up through years and years of scheming and investing in the right places. Daniel's father searched far and wide for the best ship crew, the best droids. You bet you he could pay for them, he was very much going to pay for them no matter how much it bankrupted him, he had a talent for earning even more.

Intent: To submit a record of a very important structure from Daniel's prequal stories and also for later in his story.
