The Dreamer's Day (Open)

Dathomir

Reine looked around the village; her clan sisters at the Dreaming River were busy at work. Their stocks of dried meat were running thin, so they were preparing to go out into the wilderness on a hunt. The tall blonde stood to the sidelines, walking barefoot along the outside of their Shaman’s tent. Reine was a key instrument during their rituals, but today she felt as though she was getting in the way of her sisters. She looked out towards the river and smiled, the morning sunlight was reflecting softly off the flowing waters. With gentle steps upon the ground, she walked through the village, twirling a few strands of hair around her finger. She paused for a moment at the edge of the line of huts and looked back, it seemed that no one would even notice if she slipped away for a little while.

With eyes that were believed to be touched by the Winged Goddess, Reine was usually kept strictly to the village. Known for her ability to enter trances, and her nightly habit of sleep walking, her sisters coined her the title of the Dreamer. Reine giggled to herself as she took swiftly to the open landscape, following the sounds of the river. She could feel the morning dew that clung to the blades of grass, it felt quite refreshing and invigorating. As Reine walked down the pebble covered bank down to the river, her silvery blue eyes took in the splendor of nature. The magic in this place was strong, and she could feel the energy all around her. Reine approached the water and stepped very delicately into the river, letting it flow around her ankles. Her attention was brought to the woods on the other side; she’d only ever been as far as the river, and had never been allowed to venture beyond.

“The wind moves through the trees, and so shall I.” Reine said quietly to herself, having made up her mind. Today she would set out on an adventure all her own.

Poro

Poro want a Poro Snack!
Our hero, Poro, was standing on the other side of that river. He was trying to uproot a tuft of grass in order to eat. Truth be told, Poro would have preferred to be eating a Poro Snack, but you've got to do what you've got to do. He chewed miserably on the grass and his fur turn a light shade of green as he realized that grass wasn't all that it was cracked up to be. Nonetheless, he swallowed it down and hopped around to look for something tastier to eat. The rumbling of his stomach was too loud for him to notice [member="Reine Raan"].

Reine waded slowly across the river, taking care not to slip on the rocks as she made her way. Before setting foot on the other side of the river she took a look back towards the village, a happy grin spread across her face as she decided to move forward. She emerged on the other side of the river and started to walk towards the trees. Keen eyes spotted movement in the grass not far ahead and Reine tilted her head to the side in curiosity. She took slow and careful steps towards the small furry spot. It wasn't long before she spied the small creature trying to nibble bits of green grass. Reine bent as the waist and leaned over [member="Poro"]. She noticed straight off that the grass didn't look very appetizing, and she frowned at the poor creature's plight. "Don't worry, little friend." Reine said soothingly. "We will feast yet, just wait."

Reine moved towards the trees and hoped that she hadn't frightened her new friend away. Looking up she spotted some fruit, and she reached up to grab a branch. The blonde witch grasped a low branch and she plucked down two pieces of red fruit. She quickly reclaimed her spot next to Poro and set the smaller piece of fruit down in front of Poro, and kept the other for herself. She took a bite and smiled, it was sweet and ripe to perfection.

Derriphan didn't much like communicating with women, mostly because he had no idea what to say to them, but he had come to Dathomir to find a tribe of Dathomirian witches. The reason for this was due to the fact that he needed or rather wanted to learn their ways to gain more power. He wore simple robes around his chest that only reached down to his knees as he waded through the forest of Dathomir after seeing the village as he flew overhead during the night. "Ugh note to self don't park the damn ship so karking far from the village of jungle dwelling witches that know the place better than you." He growled as he pushed a large branch out of the way and pressed a button on his wrist comlink, this caused his ship to move to hover over the jungle and got ready to pick him up if things got out of hand.
Stumbling out of the woods he came upon [member="Reine Raan"] and [member="Poro"] on the river bank. "uhh...Hi??" He then said as he simply stared a little at her and then down at the weird little, yet oddly adorable, furball in the grass. 'Seams I'm in the right place now just talk the the girl.... you can't can you? Derriphan your pathetic' He thought this as he berated himself a little on the inside, an odd habit of his when he was around women for some reason.

Poro

When Poro noticed [member="Reine Raan"], he was startled by her sudden appearance. However, she looked beautiful and beauty always charmed and disarmed little Poro. He followed her as she walked away. He always loved keeping others company. When she set the delicious looking fruit before him, he happily squeaked and salivated. He jumped on top of the fruit and played with it a little before enveloping it in his large mouth and swallowing it whole. He laid on his back and set his paws on his stomach in bliss.

When he noticed [member="Derriphan Itsu"], he quickly rolled onto his feet, furrowed his eyebrows, and stared at him. A squeaky little growl began to grow in his throat, but he wasn't going beyond that until he saw what happened next.

Reine smiled when she saw that Poro was delighted with his fruit, and she too was enjoying hers. For a few moments she merely sat cross-legged and let the sweetness of the fruit consume her attention completely. She looked up quickly when she heard an unfamiliar voice approaching, and her blue eyes took in the appearance of a young man. This was the first ever outsider that she’d come in contact with, and she wasn’t sure quite how to react. Her gaze shifted down to Poro, he certainly seemed to be on the defensive, and Reine felt comfortable trusting the instincts of animals. The witch stayed where she was, but she eyed the man a bit suspiciously for a moment, letting his greeting go unanswered. Reine wasn’t fully versed in social graces, so she was unaware that her silence created a space that was filled with awkwardness.

Reine reached out with her senses, she couldn’t discern any hostility, at least on the surface. “…Hello.” She spoke finally, her voice a bit soft. “Outsider, why have you come here to this place?” Reine asked, tilting her head. Reine had little contact with the males of her village, for they were the servants of her sisters, perhaps this newcomer was someone’s escaped man.

Derriphan stared back for the awkward duration of the silence. 'Is she scared of me or something? well the animal seems to be at least.... or is it simply cautious?' He thought as he looked at [member="Reine Raan"] and then down to [member="Poro"] before looking up at Reine again. Then she finally spoke and he simply smiled a little. "I am here for the knowledge of the Dathomirian Witches and their magics." He then said thinking he'd just stay direct and to the point as it would best serve him in this situation. Kneeling down to be on their eye level he gave the girl a friendly smile, though his fangs became visible at that moment. His skin was grey and his eyes glowed red while his pupils were nearly reptilian in outlook, he definitely wasn't human.
"Of course you have no need to fear me I come in peace and I hope to leave in peace as well if the answer is no." He then simply remarked. He had no idea about the Dathomirian way of life or their culture.

Poro

Poro started to stalk forward towards [member="Derriphan Itsu"]. He sniffed the man and then sprouted black bat wing patterns on the sides of his fur and he also sprouted a black moustache. He did his best to hiss at him, but it amounted to Poro breathing out really hard and then letting out a higher than normal pitch squeak. To hide his shame, he ran back and jumped on top of [member="Reine Raan"]'s foot. From there, he stared at the man, plotting his downfall, if need be.

Reine’s brows arched gracefully as she listened to the young man explain that he came to their planet seeking the magic of the witches. It was a very strange thing for a male to be seeking, in her opinion. She watched as Poro approached [member="Derriphan Itsu"], and smiled with delight at the new pattern his fur had taken on. The little creature’s moustache was also quite amusing. When [member="Poro"] came back to perch upon her foot, she looked then back to her visitor. “Are you a runaway? Won’t your master be looking for you?” Reine asked him, she was very curious, but not judgmental. If perhaps this man had escaped from his servitude of another clan, she would make no fuss… but she couldn’t vouch for her clan sisters.

The witch had heard of other clans on Dathomir that let men and women rule jointly, but her own clan was steeped in the old ways. She often watched her clan sisters go off to hunt the men of other clans, or bringing strangers back to their village as new servants or mates. Though, she had to admit that this man looked a bit young to be taken as a mate, but his youth would make him a very appealing slave.

Derriphan chuckled a little at [member="Poro"] when he changed his fur colors and patterns. When [member="Reine Raan"] spoke his expression turned a little sour. "I don't belong to anyone, I'm a free man. I also am not from this world which could explain your confusion due to me walking around like this." He then said, even though he was a little insulted by the accusation of being a slave but he didn't show it and instead chalked it up to the girls ignorance as he rubbed the side of his face a little. He wouldn't become anyone's servant unless beaten in combat and that same person would earn his trust and loyalty.
He took out three apples he had packed as his lunch and placed one in front of Poro and handed the other to Reine. "My name Is Noxith and yours?" He said, using his fathers name as his own, introducing himself to her and then taking a small bite out of the apple he had for himself. They were from Alderan and Derriphan looked at them like a delicacy given how delicious he thought they were.

He kept his eyebrows furrowed and flicked his suspicioning glance between [member="Derriphan Itsu"] and his offered apple. However, hunger got the best of him, so he pounced off of [member="Reine Raan"]'s foot and tackled the apple. He rolled around with it and then started sucking on it, his teeth trying to find a grip to start eating it from. This would keep him distracted for a while.
