STRENGTHS
- It's a Karabasting Charric: Technology originally from the Chiss Ascendency, Gwyn reverse engineered the Charrics owned by allies to re-create the Charric blaster design. The blue bolts have a powerful kinetic force capable of knocking lightsabers out of a Force user's hand. Against metallic materials the bolts produce electrical shock. The amazing power behind the Charric is not to be triffled with.
- Sniper: Unlike Gwyn's sniper-assault switching The Distant Chill DC-01, the Devastating Chill is a full blown, one hundred percent, beastly massive and powerful sniper rifle. Completely dedicated to the sniper role, this Charric blaster has awe inspiring range and brutal damage behind it. This is a sniper rifle meant to pick off targets from a long way off.
- Whispers of Death: The Devastating Chill comes with a silencer which makes the weapon stealthy and silent, unheard as it shoots to kill.
- Sniper: As a sniper rifle, the Devastating Chill had its downsides. It is pretty much useless in close range, built to shoot from afar instead of up close. It is best mounted on its stand and kept away from aggressors.
- Beast: The Devastating Chill has an intimidating size and is bulky, heavy. It is cumbersome and difficult to move, far more suited for a stationary role such as being mounted on its stand or tucked away in a sound, still spot. Furthermore, the Devastating Chill is hard to carry on the battlefield, and it takes time to set it up and position it for sniping. The prone stance is likely the only stance with this particular sniper rifle. This unfortunately leaves both rifle and sniper vulnerable if enemies get up close or jump them.
- Almighty Recoil: The Devastating Chill is big and powerful. This muscular rifle in turn has a pounding recoil that could send an unprepared, untrained, or unaccustomed marksman flying back; or the shaken weapon could just ram into one's head and leave a bruise and pounding headache.
- High Maintenance: The Devastating Chill is a powerful weapon, but at the cost of high maintenance. The barrel tends to super heat due to the powerful Charric blaster type, and the weapon needs cleaned after every mission usage. Many times, the barrel needs replaced due to being scorched by its own ammo.
DESCRIPTION
After reverse engineering the Charric blaster weapons of her friends and allies, Gwyneira Craft had the brilliant idea of making a Charric sniper rifle. Unlike her other rifle, the Distant Chill DC-01, this would be completely dedicated to the role of sniper. This is opposed to the DC-01's switching half point between assault rifle and sniper rifle.
The Devastating Chill DC-02 is insanely powerful, packing a massive punch with its Charric ammunition. As a Charric, the blue blaster bolts have a mighty kinetic knockback, capable of even overwhelming Force users and knocking lightsabers from their hands. Furthermore, against metal the bolts produce an electrical shock. The kinetic energy, however, taxes the rifle itself. As powerful, strong, and durable as it is, the rifle still overheats after extended use and has quite the umph in recoil.
The Devastating Chill is a large rifle. Capable of wearing down users if carried around. This is not an agile battlefield weapon. This is a sniper rifle best set up away from the action and used to pick off targets from afar. Even then, it can be hard to manuver this beast, as it is bulky and cumbersome to move around. Not the mention the powerful recoil. Best find a great hiding spot and get comfortable in the prone position!
Of course, as a sniper rifle, the Devastating Chill is remarkable. Picking off targets from afar, with crippling power, the rifle is a silent killer thanks to its silencer. Furthermore, the ammunition capacity is actually quite large, meaning that the sniper can keep sniping for long periods of time before needing to reload. However, the rifle tends to be strained by its own potency and the barrel tends to overheat. Coolant gel could be applied to lower this effect, but it is still a downside. The barrel may even need replaced due to being fried.
All in all, the Devastating Chill DC-02 is a brutal and, well, devastating Charric Sniper Rifle capable of overwhelming and crushing opposition from far off. A whisper of death, the Devastating Chill is best utilized when comfortably far away from the heat of battle, nestled in the killer's hideaway and set to destroy.
