- Mandalorian Shipbuilding: Made by Mandalorians, modified by Mandalorians. The Dead Maiden is a sturdy ship that can take a beating and throw a punch.
- Elusive: While maneuverable, the Dead Maiden reaches an average pace. To off-set its vulnerability, the combination of reflec coating and modified jamming systems allow it fool military-grade sensors and mislead hostile targeting systems, especially when utilized in conjuction with basic silence running techniques to avoid detection. This is further enchanced with the use of the Hibridium Cedar Chaff
- Exposed missile battery: Jury rigged into the keel of the ship, the missile battery is an easier target to disable.
- Hunter, not brawler: Unlike many pirate ships, the Dead Maiden is no close quarter beast. Its point defence cannons serve well against starfighters but are hardly a match for ships of thicker hulls. Furthermore, the heavy armament of the ship brings extreme risk of self-harm if utilized in close quarters against another ship. Thus, the Dead Maiden operates more as a medium-to-long range hunter that disables its prey from range before boarding it rather than coming up close initially.
Prior to becoming the Dead Maiden, the ship was part of the Mandalorian Empire's navy. Upon the fall of the Mandalorians to the hands of the Silver Jedi, Confederacy and Sith Empire, the Mandalorians now leaderless scrambled for whatever valuable remained from the fallen Empire. Returning to the Mandalore sector leading a pirate crew, Rohak found the corvette damaged and freely floating parsecs away from the now razed Mandalore. Well acquainted with the capabilities of the corvette - a warship unlike his modified transport frigate - Rohak bargained a loan from the Hutts to salvage and afterwards modify the ship into what now is known as the fearsome Dead Maiden.
