• Races: N/A
Strengths:

 • Cheat Death - The Criln have an amazing ability to cheat death. If they die due to old age, physical wounds or radiation poisoning The Criln can change their the faces and species to become a new man or woman entirely.

 • Energy Production - When about to cheat death, The Criln can project the excess energy that their body produces and use it as a weapon or a fuel source.

 • The Reset - Upon the triggering of the death cheating gene, The Reset will trigger. This means that the body will revert to it's original state, the state that it was in after the original change. This allows for the next change to be held back for up to four hours so that the Criln can say their goodbye's.

 • Force Presence - 90% of the Criln are force sensitive. However, they don't actually know what the force is so it's all but useless unless they come into contact with another force user.

 • Strength - Criln have amazing enhanced strength compared to many other species, not many people can match them hand to hand.

 • Enhanced Senses - Many Criln claim to be able to feel the orbit of a planet, feel the planet turning and hear a heartbeat from miles away.

 • Logic - So much time on their hands mean that the Criln are amazingly smart species with advanced logical power compared to other species.
Weaknesses:

 • Memory Loss - After a Criln cheats death, they suffer memory loss of every face before their last. Even then, they forget the memories they gained from their last face for a period of time. The only way to prevent this is by using a special crystal that they believe their gods had made for them, however this crystal has been destroyed.

 • Personality Changes - After a Criln cheats death, their entire personality changes. People find it difficult to say around a Criln due to the possibility that they could change forever and be someone completely different.

 • Lottery Ticket - A Criln will never know what face it ends up with, it's entirely possible that they end up with two heads, no heads or no eyes. It's a complete lottery, they could completely change everything that made them, them.

 • Limited number - A Criln can only cheat death so many times before they die for real. They have ten death cheats before they finally die out. It's believed that the gods can offer a lucky member of the Criln a complete reset of their death cheats.

 • Cold Sensitivity - The Criln are amazingly sensitive to the cold for reasons unknown. Should they come into contact with anything below freezing, their throats will close up and they suffocate.

 • Meat Allergy - Allergic to meat, Criln are pretty dead should they come into contact with meat or anything else that has been in contact with meat, including blood that comes from meat.

 • Lonely - Many Criln are lonely due to their expanded lifespan and their memory loss. They struggle to form commitments and they struggle to make friendships with anyone.

 • Rare - Dying out, the Criln are limited in number and therefore can't really travel together in packs.

CULTURE

 • Diet: Criln are plant eaters, allergic to meat. The bulk of a Criln diet is rice and other plant based foods as they have to avoid products that may contain meat.

 • Communication: Speech

 • Technology level: Advanced

 • Religion/Beliefs:
The gods of The Criln are believed to be the ultimate creators. They created the Criln and provided them with their ability to cheat death and as a thank you the Criln follow the sets of rules layed out by the many gods. These rules include an honour code, a code of peace and a right of passage to successfully be classed as an adult within Criln society. Each of these are layed out by the gods and the Criln follow them, they believe that breaking these rules should be and is punishable by death.

The Honour Code - This consists of basic rules. These are:

 • Do not kill unarmed soldiers

 • Do not kill unarmed prisoners

 • Do not torture prisoners

 • Do not start war without negotiations

 • Do not kill for no justifiable reason
The Code of Peace - This is the code that states that all Criln should attempt to live in peace and harmony. The code and all passages related to it suggest that the Criln should dedicate themselves to learning more about the galaxy and what makes it work. The Code of Peace also lays out the justifiable reasons for war. (For reference, these are much the same as https://en.wikipedia...Just_war_theory followed by Christians to justify the reasons for IRL wars such as WWI and WWII)

Right of Passage - These are the rules that the gods laid out to successfully be named an adult within Criln society. This states that to successfully be classed as an adult you must face a trial which shows courage and another that shows a skill in an industry. These are followed much less in modern times due to the very limited numbers of Criln and no-one trained to carry out the Right of Passage but every so often there is a Right of Passage carried out, a trial of courage and industry.

 • General behavior: The Criln are very humanoid in that they function like many basic human species (Corellian's and Commenori). They build their houses, hunt their food and educate their young in the galaxy and the gods. They act like any regular species, very little to set them apart from other humanoid species.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
No-one quite knows where the Criln were first discovered. It is commonly believed that they were born on Corsin and lived in relative secrecy. Others would argue that the Criln were born outside of the galaxy and moved to Corsin when their original planet was destroyed, either due to natural sources or due to a civil war which led to the creation of the Code of Peace.

Either way, it is known that the Criln ended up on Corsin. They lived, they worked and they built. They blended in, staying out of the galaxy affairs and the many wars that always seemed to rage on around them. They continued to grow and breed, doing their own thing to avoid being caught in the galaxies affairs. Many people believe this is where the original gods came from, the idea that the gods allowed the Criln to live without danger.

The Galactic Civil War was where everything went wrong. Corsin was invaded, so many times during the war. So many Criln died trying to defend their family, defend their friends. The Vong invaded soon after, causing even more pain and suffering. So many Criln started to disobey the gods, started branching out on their own because the war was wiping them out.

The gulag plague was the first sign of extinction. It hit the Criln harder than it hit most other species. So many Criln died, so many lost loved ones. Every single Criln either lost someone or knew a friend who lost someone. The population was halved, if not more. Everything got even worse during the Neatherworld situation. Very few Criln survived the Neatherworld situation, only a few hundred surviving the situation. The Criln knew that it was time to branch out.

On a note: I'm well aware that this may appear to be too close to a popular species from a TV show, a species that the Criln was based off of because a lot of people stated they would like to see something like it. However, I have done my best to try and implement a number of significant differences to change this and make it more unique to Chaos. If it is the case that it is too similar then simply deny it, it's a risk I have accepted. I just thought it'd be worth a shot.
