Surviving in a foreign land isn’t exactly as easy as Zyra had thought. She had escaped her comfortable, middle-class life barely over two years ago. It was boring, and the mundane was oppressive. What she didn’t realize was that the machine that chewed everyone up discriminates. Removed from her previous position in life, this is real hell she has to face. Sure, she is a skilful and resourceful young woman; it didn’t take long for her to find an employment under a Black Sun Vigo. Yet the job are tough, and the money she made was quickly spent on food and shelter. It was a blatant real life experience she’s going through, but swallowing her own ego and going back to Christophsis with her tail between her legs wasn’t an option. She is determined to make it on her own.

Her job today was an especially tricky one. Her boss asked her to steal from another Black Sun underboss. It really put her in an impossible situation; do it and risk getting caught, or abandon it and be a Black Sun fugitive for life. It’s a lose-lose situation for her, she’s in too deep and now she’s putting her life on fate’s hand. She knows what Black Sun does to traitors, it’s a fate she doesn’t wish on her worst enemy.

So, she suck it up and attempt to do the best that she can. She waited until just before dawn, knowing that there will be no shipment today. Entering the storage area quietly, she activated the remote EMP, turning off the camera off and moving swiftly through hallways. Slicing the door to a storage, she hastily swooped the target; a golden watch, a Falleen family heirloom. Carefully making her way out, she walked through the rear wall, cutting the fence and making it out.

Just as she made it out of the facility, making a corner, she bumped into a man walking at her way, knocking her off against the pavement, and with that the stolen heirloom out of her fanny pack.

Karkin’ hell. Her life is really over over this stupid Black Sun drama…

Rhys was still figuring out his crew and the desires to become a pirate lord. He had plans on the style of ship that he wanted to own but that was going to take to organise and most importantly, he needed credits. Hence his reluctant acceptance to be a goon for some Black Sun member. It wasn't fun or chaotic work as Rhys craved but it was something that would earn him some credits and help him get things sorted. He knew that he needed to sort out something that would be a far more steady income. Perhaps something in the dating app field, he could see people enjoying the idea of a Zeltron inspired dating app.

"I mean, who wouldn't want dating advice from the race of people who lived in pure pleasure and bliss on their home world." Rhys thought aloud as he wandered aimlessly through the corridors. Apparently this Black Sun guy believed that there would likely be something done to rob him or kill him, or harm his reputation amongst the gang.

Rhys struggled paying much attention to what the guy had said but it was clearly a problem that he demanded outside support. Which he figured a Mandalorian with a reputation for being ruthless, perceptive and cunning would fit the bill.

Things that Rhys gladly accepted. He was just annoyed that he hadn't been able to use his pheromones to convince the guy to pay more. The issue with the Falleen, they were just less attractive but similarly skilled with the pheromones, so it meant that he couldn't charm his way into success.

Deciding it would be a good time to go out and get some fresh air, Rhys wandered outside and was minding his own business as he walked around the block. Still not finding the job as important or engaging as perhaps others would or as the man who hired him would like Rhys to. However, it was not the serious, hyper focused guys who were the ones to bump into someone attempting the flee the base.

It was Rhys.

Looking down at the woman, behind his helmet, Rhys smirked widely. The Falleen necklace was likely the object of concern for the guy who hired him but it wasn't exactly a nice looking necklace in Rhys's mind. He reached forward and extended a hand to the woman, who seemed much more interesting than the job he was working. "Hello there, Rhys. What's your name?" He used his pheromones not to stimulate an attraction, that was never his aim.

Instead, he wanted the woman to relax and feel comfortable, safe around him. To add to that, he pulled his helmet off and his handsome features with a pearly white grin were shown. His blue hair falling perfectly into place with no signs of helmet head, Rhys was picture perfect at all times and no one could tell how.

Chit… that was close. Zyra is beyond lucky that the man that she crashed in to, despite his rugged looking Mandalorian armor, isn’t one of Black Sun men. Still, she can still feel the impact of her head bumping into the pavement. Seeing that the man is extending his arm to help, she quickly swiped the watch she just stole and put it back in her fanny pack, before reluctantly taking his hand.

Watch it next time, Rhys,” she sneered at him. It’s not that she blame him, or even uncomfortable with him, she is just frustrated that it was this close that she’s jeopardizing her whole mission, even life, over a concentration lapse. Seeing him taking off his mask only made her more annoyed. What is this guy grinning for.

Wincing in pain, Zyra uses one of her hand to inspect her head. “Karkin’ hell!” she pulled her hand to show blood on her fingers and palm. So she did the only thing she can; shooting a death glare at the stranger.

The lack of reply was curious but Rhys didn't linger on it. People were their own mysteries and he was just thrilled to enjoy watching them be themselves. There was a form of chaotic joy in seeing how they reacted to things. In fact, Rhys knew exactly how to keep the conversation flowing and even cause the next reaction from the woman. He was just intrigued to see how it would all progress in time.

"I shall! Can't afford to be minding my own business, doing my job and having attractive burglars bouncing off me." He stated with a knowing smirk and a relaxed air about him. "Nasty cut, perhaps we should take a walk to the medical centre back in there." Pointing to where Zyra had stolen the watch. "Sure the guy who hired me would treat your wound while he interrogated you on who hired you to rob him."

Rhys then frowned, thinking it would be a little boring, "or I could should you a proper place to get checked out at? Make sure you avoid bumping into any other unwanted attention?"

He didn't wish to force his presence on the woman but figured that she might appreciate a hand since things were seemingly not going her way tonight.

Attractive burglar? Chit… this karkin’ Zeltron knows about her deals. Even worse, he revealed himself to be working for the Falleen she just robbed.

And how should I believe that you won’t just use me and sell me out to your boss afterwards?” Zyra asked with frustration in her voice. She knows too well from his smirk and his flirtatious expression what his angle is. Why as a Zeltron he is not using his pheromones to get what he wants she doesn’t know. Maybe he’s actually just another outlaw with integrity, who she can trust. She has very few alternatives either way.

Karkin’ hell… let’s get on with it then. If I sense any danger I swear to God I’ll drag you and all those Falleen down to hell with me.” she glared at Rhys, waiting for him to lead the way. At least someone will be taking care of her cut, she thought to herself.
