The Companions: The Start of The Camaraderie

Nala gave an awkward laugh as she rubbed the back of her long neck and answered @[member="Tahl"] with "Would you believe I came all this way just to buy a ship?"

As they walked she took note of these two strangers she was getting the chance to meet. The girl certainly had an abnormal strength to her that Nala couldn't help but admire. At least she could handle herself well enough in a fight without using a lightsaber like she always needed to. Then there was the male. Nala could sense the force around him. At first she thought he might be sith, but she'd felt the dark side's presence before. He may have been a jedi as well, but she wasn't sure. She'd never seen him around the temple before.

Tahl smiled at the response she had been given. It certainly wasn't unbelievable, this seemed like a perfect place to find a ship, but a place where it seemed likely that you'll probably end up buying one that had been stolen from someone else, though Tahl wasn't gonna stereotype. "I do believe it, it's clear we all hadn't had much luck with what we came here for..." She said with humor in her voice. Finally making it to the open streets which were crowded as usual, she stay closed to the group so they wouldn't get separated. It was unknown to them that they were being watched by someone. The three of them all being force-sensitive, and having so much potential had attracted someone, or something.

"As much as I want to bolt and just leave, I don't think we can let those "zombies" just roam around these lowers parts like this. I mean...most of the people in these parts can't protect themselves." She said with concern. Hoping that she wasn't the only one thinking of the well being of the common people.

"Hmm.. Perhaps I could beast tame one into leading us to the one who hurt them. Their minds seem to be gone, and I don't see why the ability wouldn't be able to replace a mind trick." Vulpesen kept his voice low, not in secrecy, but merely in the fact that he was talking mostly to himself. Still, he held a valid point in that if their minds were gone, they might be akin to non-sentients which would make Vulpesen's favorite force ability rather easy to use. After all, he found little difference between the two abilities except for one was better used on sentient beings, and the other on non sentient creatures. @[member="Tahl"] @[member="Nala Tu"]

Looking to @[member="Tahl"] Nala said "You're right. First thing a Jedi always learns is to take the safety of the poeple into consideration first. Right after learning which end of the saber you're supposed to point with." She gave a light giggle at her own joke before hearing @[member="Vulpesen"] give his suggestion. "That might work, if you're that good at it." she said. "I'll admit I'm not too handy when it comes to the force. Not yet anyways. Still a padawan after all."

Vulpesen shrugged. "It was one of the first things I learned how to do. My planet was k oenown for its beast tamers. The question is, how we get one up here for me to tame? I can't really talk to him if he's surrounded by his friends." Vulpesen watched them for a moment before a rather obvious answer popped into his head. "By what I can tell, all three of us can use the force. With that in mind, how good are you at telekinesis? Perhaps we can pull one of them up?" @[member="Tahl"] @[member="Nala Tu"]

Tahls smiled and nodded at Nalas little joke. Then she turned her head to Vulps and her eyebrows rose slightly, well it was a good idea after all.she was suddenly bumped by someone. "Hey! Watch it!" Jeez these people.... Only if they knew we were gonna save their lives." She heard @[member="Vulpesen"] ask them all a question. She squinted her eyes, "We'll, I've never really used it before, but I'm sure I could perform. I've always just stuck to my super strength." She said putting her fist in her hand. "Hey maybe if I throw one of them up Nala can catch him with Telekinesis?" She said once she came to her revelation.

@[member="Nala Tu"]

@[member="Tahl"] "And risk having you stuck in the horde?" Vulpesen had thought of fighting his way down, but he had no intention of sending anyone down to physically deal with that number of creatures. "No, I think we'd be best staying up here where it's safe." He turned his head to the Kaminoan. "What about you? Any bright ideas from that high up head? @[member="Nala Tu"]

She gave @[member="Vulpesen"] a dirty look for the "high up head" remark before considering her use of the force. Nala nervously rubbed her wrists as she tried to think of a less embarrassing answer to give than the truth.

"I...can try." she finally said, giving a small smile towards @[member="Tahl"].

Tahl smiled at the question @[member="Vulpesen"] asked @[member="Nala Tu"]. she nodded her head, "sounds like we gotta plan then, and don't worry Nala well be doing it together." She said with a reassuring tone. She turned so she could address the group, "We'll, I guess we're going back to the hell mouth." She said with her eyebrow raised. "Is it too late to just walk away from all of this?" She followed up.

Then when things couldn't get any worst, they were approached a by a group of what seemed to be thugs. One who was much bulkier, who was clearly the leader, had approached them and began to claim that her knew the three of them were behind the destruction of The Slug Pit. This street gang was obviously a little butthurt that their favorite hang out spot had been recked. All of them armed with stun batons, and vibroblades. Whoever fed them this information was clearly trying to set up the three of them up.

Tahl sighed deeply, "oh great, now we have to deal with this on top of everything else."

Vulpesen glanced at the thugs and sighed. "You know, of all the times to try and get in a fight, you managed to pick the moment that we don't have time to pull out a fair one." Vulpesen drew his vibroblade and stood up, pointing his sword at the goons. "Can you two pick up the mindless one alone?" He readied himself for the coming fight and let out a self satisfied smirk as he crouched behind his weapon. @[member="Nala Tu"] @[member="Tahl"]

Nala had gone to reach for her saber when @[member="Vulpesen"] gave the suggestion they continue without him. She was surprised by this, looking to @[member="Tahl"] and giving they "is he serious" look on her face.

She looked back and asked "You're sure about that?"

As much as she thought he could handle the thugs, there was still the chance he might not. It was all a matter of thinking out every possibility and, to be honest to herself, Nala could see most situations hadn't exactly fallen within their favor all day.

"Nope." Vulpesen grinned. Like @[member="Nala Tu"], he preferred to keep every possibility open, no matter how skilled he might be against his opponent. "But that doesn't mean I don't have this in my favor." As he finished talking, the thugs finally pounced, swinging their weapons at his body. Using a force assisted leap, Vulpesen quickly cleared the group then used the force again to pull a stun baton out of loose hand of an unbalanced criminal. "Now then, lets have some fun." He took a simple Jar-Kai shoto position as he waited for another attack to come his way.
@[member="Tahl"]

Her eyes opened wide, and she quickly turned to look @[member="Vulpesen"] when he made the the suggestion he handle this alone, she turned and both her and @[member="Nala Tu"] looked at each other. Tahl then looked back at the thugs, with a fury in her eyes. "Vulps were gonna get that mindless one for you." She said in a serious tone. Then all of the thugs began attacking them, Tahl dodged an attack from a vibro blade, and used the weight of her attacker to spin around and throw him at his comrades. She then took off, grabbing Nala's arm and pulling her. She made for the direction from which they came. Though she struggled with leaving behind a fellow, she had faith in the force that he would be fine. Though she hadn't realized that a couple of goons had managed to follow them.

Nala was about to jump in and help @[member="Vulpesen"] , even to the point of taking out her saber, but was pulled with @[member="Tahl"] before she had the chance. Instead of resisting she followed, thinking it was better to try and handle two problems than just the one currently. She hurried along with Tahl, keeping up with her, before looking back and seeing the thugs following.

"We have company!" she warned Tahl. After she allowed her to get a look she asked "What's the plan?" while showing her her lightsaber as one option.

Vulpesen growled as some of the thugs broke off. "No ya don't!" He quickly reeled back his arm and hurled the stun baton at the lead chaser's head, knocking him to the ground. "Come on! You're friends here need some help ya scurvy mongrels!" Vulpesen danced on the heads of his larger opponents as to taunt the ones who had decided to run. As planned, most of them ran towards him, but one kriffing goon had decided to lag behind and continue chasing @[member="Tahl"] and @[member="Nala Tu"]. "One coming your way!" He called as he leaped off a head to slam the heel of his boot into the skull of one of the newcomers. He stood on the unconscious form of the being and looked at the others, finding himself with a gotal, three gamorreans, a bothan, and devaronian.

Tahl running maneuvering through multiple obstacles, heard @[member="Nala Tu"] call out to her that they had company. She quickly looked back, and looked over at Nala showing her lightsaber. Tahl stopped and nodded, "I'll let you handle em!" She said. Tahl waited behind Nala preparing to offer backup, "I got your back. They finally came face to face with the thugs, and Tahl screamed out to taunt them. "We'll seems as if someone made a wrong turn, you sure you wanna take us on?" They all were now in an alley. Nala and herself one one side, and these thugs on the other; with their weapons up and ready to attack at any moment.

@[member="Vulpesen"]

Nala activated her saber to look intimidating, following @[member="Tahl"] 's example even though she didn't have that kind of bravado and confidence she did. She stood ready, holding her saber forward in ready for them to attack. She kept muttering to herself things like "Stay focused" and "Let the force guide you." more words of wisdom from her master she took into consideration. The moment they attacked she charged forward with her saber, ducking, dodging, blocking, striking. Everything she had to do to either scare them off or finish them off.

@[member="Vulpesen"]

Vulpesen grinned and turned on his foes, grabbing the gotal by the horns and throwing him into the bothan who's small frame stumbled back from the hit. Using the momentum of the attack, Vulpesen turned and send a roundhouse kick into the head of the bold devaronian, knocking him sideways and into unconsciousness. As he completely his turn, Vulpesen leapt into the air and landed behind the three Gamorreans who now stared at each other then at the ground where they were sure there had been a small human. "Now the fun can begin." @[member="Tahl"] @[member="Nala Tu"]

Tahl assumed her fighting stance, when the thugs charged them. She was surprised to see how quickly she reacted. She ran in swinging, striking, and the works. Tahl stood up out of her stance and placed her hand on her hip, she had a smile on her face. She wasn't even sure if @[member="Nala Tu"] was aware that she cut through their weapons, and had cut one of their arms off, then chasing them off. Tahl jumped up in down. "Woo! Way to go Nala! You really showed them. You didn't even need my help. Haha kicked butt." She said praising her, and placing her hand up for a high five. "That was quite a performance there!"

@[member="Vulpesen"]

Nala deactivated her saber after @[member="Tahl"] calmed her and gave a little revealed laugh. "Really? Oh good. Because I sort of had my eyes closed half the time I was fighting."

She gave a shy smile as she confessed this. Later, when Tahl put her hand up, Nala did the same, not really knowing what to do since she'd never been high-five before; that and the fact she only had three fingers.
