- Description: The Expedition is a branch of the Chron Collective focused on disaster relief across the galaxy. Many misconceptions have permeated galactic society about the Chron, and The Expedition is one of several outreach organizations designed to put those rumors to rest. The Expedition is made up of a few fleets of combat and transport ships, that travel to planets which are the location of any war or large scale natural disaster. The Expedition sets up fortresses on these worlds which act as safe havens for the civilian population and any deserters from either side looking for safe harbor. Within these fortresses the wounds, diseases, and psychological trauma of the refugees are treated by The Expedition. The Expedition also opens up schools to teach a variety of subjects to the populations of these fortresses to try to better their lives. However, all of this charity is not for nothing. The Expedition also shares the core beliefs and philosophies of The Collective, seeking to ascend as many individuals as possible so that they may become Chron.
The Expedition also ascends any dead individuals they stumble upon, giving them a chance of new life within The Collective. This could be coming across wreckage in space, to scouring battle fields after the war is over. When The Expedition finds that their services are no longer needed, they leave their fortress to the civilian inhabitants to deal with, and then move on to a new world.

- Notable Assets: The Expedition owns several small fleets of warships used to protect their caravans as they travel throughout the galaxy.
- Hierarchy: The Expedition is nearly a pure democracy, the digital connection between all Chron allows The Expedition to make decisions as a whole very quickly, hundreds of thousands of individuals debating ideas or voting on matters in a matter of minutes. There is however a small hierarchy of Coordinators, leaders who coordinate the efforts of their fleet to reach max efficiency. These individuals usually had some past experience with administration, and are put to good work within The Expedition. The Coordinators also make up the ruling council of The Expedition, able to overrule any decision made by the democratic process if all Coordinators believe it would be problematic.
- Membership: There are a couple hundred thousand Chron within The Expedition, spread through the galaxy. Any Chron may join, but only Chron, the ships they travel on and many of their methods are inhospitable to organic life.
- Climate: Extremely open, friendly, and welcoming organization eager to prove its worth and the worth of the Chron species, philosophies, and life style.
- Reputation: Many distrust The Expedition, especially governments who find The Expedition suddenly getting involved in their war. Although The Expedition never allies with one side of the conflict or another, many fear that they may or believe that they have already. However, much of the civilian population who have already been positively effected by The Expedition have shouted their praise far and wide.

- Rules: The Expedition is rather loose, constantly adapting and changing its approach from one scenario to the next. They do however follow the strict belief that Chron are the ultimate evolution of all life and that as many people as possible should be convinced into joining them.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Expedition is the newest branch of the Chron Collective, having only been formed less than a decade ago. As more and more Chron began to seek more passive ways of building their numbers, a few began to do basic relief effort by themselves. These individuals soon found each other, forming small groups which would slowly grow into what we call The Expedition. Soon the whole Collective was funding their efforts, providing them with ships, Altars of Ascension, and any resources they may need.
