Description:
The Children of Crius are in fact not really droids.

A more applicable term to these four beings is Android. Each of the four Children of Crius were once human, each of them having served for nearly half a decade within the Sons of Titan Counterpart the Valkyries of Astraeus. Each of the four women volunteered to undergo the procedure that turned them into the Children of Crius, and each one knew what it meant to undergo the operation.

The Children of Crius are by and large mostly cybernetics.

Their internal organs, their muscles, most of their entire body has been completely stripped down and replaced, systematically interwoven with mechanical parts forged by Titan Industries. This process was long, grueling, and extremely complex, with the Children only retaining about ten percent organic matter within their bodies. This utter replacement of their organic parts has lead the Children to be not thought of as human, but instead as droids, with even most of their brain being replaced by cybernetic components.

Though these cybernetic replacements have taken away much of the Childrens personalities, hopes, and even ambitions, they do retain some of the knowledge that they gained within their life time. Most of this knowledge pertains to combat, how to fight, handle weapons, and operational reports that the Children documented before their lives came to and end. They also retain the same loyalty they held to Alric Kuhn and the entities of Astraeus Industrial and Titan Industries, this learned behaviour having been reinforced with additional programming.

To put this into simpler terms, the former Valkyries of Astraeus have been utterly stripped of their humanity in return for becoming something new.

Admittedly the project was little more than an experiment, with Titan Industries seeing just how far one could take an organic body before it needed permanent cybernetic replacements. The result was eventually the Children of Crius being born. These four Androids were not dissimilar to what many would call Human Replica droid, save instead of using bio-flesh and synthflesh they simply use metallic components.

This use of metallic compounds make the Children of Crius more effective in combat situation than their biological copying cousins. As such the Children are more durable, flexible, and less prone to damage than an HRD would be. This also makes it so the Androids are also less careful in combat situations, often leading to reckless behavior. Though they are more durable, the Children of Crius can still be hurt by Blaster bolts and especially lightsabers, though the fact that they are capable of wearing armor and take defensive measures lessens this danger somewhat.

To match their durable skin and internal components the Children of Crius also come equipped with two offensive weapons. The first is a set of Repulse-hands in each of their palms. These powerful weapons are not covered in Synthskin and indeed made fearsome weapons in close combat, allowing the Children of Crius to fight nearly any opponent at close range. The second is a built in Blaster Cannon mounted within their right wrist. This blaster is a match for most modern blaster pistols and runs on small powerpacks that must be placed at the base of the weapon when it 'folds out' of the androids wrist.

Aside from these armaments, the Children of Crius are completely capable of handling most weapons and piloting most vessels.

Unlike their cousins the HRD, the Children of Crius have no chance at subtlety or subterfuge. The stark metal plating across their body, the hard metallic lines, and the slight gap in armor plates that sit all over their forms make it obvious to anyone with a set of eyes what they are. This comes with a certain stigma, and thus the Children of Crius are hardly ever seen in public, their heavy cybernetic enhancement being looked down upon by the general public.

Despite this flaw of being hate by the general public, the Children of Crius still serve a roll for Titan Industries. Even though they began as little more than an experiment, the Children have a purpose within the ranks of the company. The four Androids are often used as bodyguards for important figures, their retained training and their outer features making them the perfect guards. Aside from this, their continued existence allows Titan Industries to study and examine the use of cybernetics. In short, the more things the Children do, the more Titan Learns.

Nina: The first of the Children of Crius to be born into her new existence, Nina was the only one of the four women that underwent the procedure with no hesitation or reservation on what was going to happen to her. Nina was a former Lieutenant within the Valkyries of Astraeus, she had received the normal training in Teras Kasi and in most weapons that the Valkyries used. She was considered one of the top infiltrators within the Valkyries, though was known for getting extremely violent with missions went south. On one such mission Nina was gravely injured, half of her body was torn asunder by the shrapnel of an exploding refinery, her body suffering third degree burns and her eyes being completely burned away. When recovered, Nina was reported to have asked only one thing “Did I succeed?”. Rebecca Bailey, the head of Astraeus Industrial offered her the chance at a second life. Without another question Nina took it.

Orena: The second of the Children of Crius, Orena could be considered the most Naive of the four. Admittedly among the Valkyries of Astraeus Orena was nothing special. She did her duty, was capable of performing her job, and was of course loyal to her masters. Never standing out in any particular way Orena was only noticed when she was injured on a mission. A Hutt crimelord whom she was supposed to assassinate caught wind of her plot, she was captured by bounty hunters and severely tortured for information. Upon her recovery, it was obvious that Orena had suffered too much nerve and muscle damage to make a proper recovery. Due to this she was offered a chance at a new life. The Scientists of Titan Industries lied to her, telling her she would retain her personality, memory, and life. Orena readily grasped at the chance, and became the second Child of Crius.

Thea: The third Child of Crius and perhaps the most intelligent. Thea was known as the plotter, the planner, the strategist. Among her sisters in the Valkyries there were those that thought she was the most deserving of being their Commander. Thea however thought differently, too humble and too modest to admit her own greatness decided to forgo promotion after promotion. Instead, she took another opportunity that was offered to her. When the scientists of Titan began to probe the Valkyries for more subjects, specifically ones shown higher intelligence, they asked Thea if she would like to participate. Though apprehensive at first, the idea of serving her masters and becoming something greater than herself was more than a little attractive, thus Thea became the third Child of Crius to be created.

Mai: The last of the Children, Mai was the hot headed fire haired self proclaimed Queen of the Valkyries. Never one to be subtle, never one to use stealth, Mai killed. It was what she was good at, what she wanted to do all her life. She was a vicious killer and one only sent out when absolutely necessary. In life, she was the only one of the Valkyries that openly fought in more than ten battles. It was in one of these battles that Mai found herself felled, a chemical attack caught her by surprise and tore her insides apart, half melting them and seeing her floored. It was only through sheer perverse willpower that Mai managed to drag herself back to friendly territory. It was this willpower that caught the eyes of Titan's scientists. Mai unlike the other three was given no choice in her becoming a Child of Crius and was simply taken from her hospital bed.

All four of these women are now Cybernetically enhanced Androids. They have been changed and altered to such a state that they can no longer be considered human by any stretch of the imagination. All four Children remain absolutely loyal to Titan, and all four remain dangerous and deadly. It is unclear what the current intention for the Children of Crius is, though it is clear Alric Kuhn now sees them as much more than a simple thought experiment.

After Alric's apparent death and his departure from the galaxy, the four Children of Crius were scooped up by Kiran Vess and Saeva Incorporated, the androids quickly slipping into the ranks of the PMC to perform various functions.
